I reveived the below email about my complaint to this businessIf the person reading the previous complaint bothered to READ IT, they would know I was not asking that the ‘practicing doctor’ be fired or anything- I was trying to bring up a complaint since they overcharged me for no reason for a service not provided, and their billing department called me to ask about the fishy large charge of a $visit that should have only been a copay of $This business is a scam and charge whatever they want, even if it is not fairYour employees at Revdex.com should READ the complaints fullyThis message originally read on 2/1/Danielle Berardi lexington lane Huntington Beach, CA Dear Danielle Berardi: This message is in regard to your complaint submitted on 1/25/against Blue Harbor Dermatology and Laser InstituteYour complaint was assigned ID Unfortunately, we are unable to pursue your complaintThe Revdex.com does not handle complaints about the following: Complaints raising issues concerning the competency related to a licensed professional's specialized knowledge, skill or thoroughnessWe would handle billing disputes that do not involve underlying competency issuesYou may wish to contact the following agency to pursue your complaint: [redacted] I am not asking for them to be firedI am asking that the people working at Revdex.com just READ THE WHOLE COMPLAINTmy first one was rejected because the employee [redacted] Constran at Revdex.com thought I was asking for them to be fired or evaluated, and I am JUST LETTING YOU KNOW they overcharged me for a crazy amount with no reason, then were sneaky about itEven their billing department called me when they noticed the fishy chargeSCAMMERS

This patient came to my office and my office staff verified insurance eligibility which showed in the system a high, unmet deductible so she paid approximately $upfront for the office visit She was not charged her customary copay of $because when a payment is made toward an unmet deductible, copay is not collected The patient was seen by one of our providers and over one month later the patient's insurance did, in fact, reimburse approximately $for the office visit My billing office did not post the $which she paid out-of-pocket to the insurance, and in the meantime she apparently met the deductible which is why insurance paid $ Because there was a billing entry omission from our billing service, Orange County Billing, the patient was sent a bill for $as an unpaid copay We regret the billing error and we acknowledged this to the patient and she was issued a refund. At no time was patient double-billed and patient was, in fact, refunded for the portion of the amount that she had initially paid that was paid by insurance (approximately $68.00) Our billing service manager called the patient and explained this situation to her and refund was issued Patient indicated she wanted to speak to the practice owner, and I called her several times and left messages reaching out to her and explaining what I could but she never returned my phone calls despite my best effort I have never seen or spoken to this client/patient and I would be happy to see her back at any timeFor the record, I take issue with the inappropriate language and accusations questioning the credentials of our providers at our practice I called her several times and she did not respond to me Our billing department acknowledged and corrected the error and she was issued a refund for a deductible payment and still she describes herself as "furious" with us We have maintained a professional approach with this client since this process began and both myself and billing have spent considerable time trying to communicate with her I will say, in defense of my practice staff and providers, that referring to my medical practice as a "scam" because she was charged a deductible fee upfront shows a lack of understanding of the insurance process and a rush to judgment that is unacceptable Better communication early on from all sides would have prevented this escalation of misunderstanding Do not hesitate to contact me at any timeThank you.Dr [redacted] Board-certified Dermatologist and Owner, Blue Harbor DermatologyNewport Beach, CA

service not provided, and their billing department called me to ask about the fishy large charge of a $98 visit that should have only been a copay of $30. This business is a scam and charge whatever they want, even if it is not fair. Your employees at Revdex.com should READ the complaints fully.  I am not asking for them to be fired. I am asking that the people working at Revdex.com just READ THE WHOLE COMPLAINT. my first one was rejected because the employee [redacted] Constran at Revdex.com thought I was asking for them to be fired or evaluated, and I am JUST LETTING YOU KNOW they overcharged me for a crazy amount with no reason, then were sneaky about it. Even their billing department called me when they noticed the fishy charge. SCAMMERS.

This patient came to my office and my office staff verified insurance eligibility which showed in the system a high, unmet deductible so she paid approximately $98.00 upfront for the office visit.    She was not charged her customary copay of $30.00 because when a payment is made toward an unmet deductible, copay is not collected.  The patient was seen by one of our providers and over one month later the patient's insurance did, in fact, reimburse approximately $68.00 for the office visit.  My billing office did not post the $98.00 which she paid out-of-pocket to the insurance, and in the meantime she apparently met the deductible which is why insurance paid $68.00.  Because there was a billing entry omission from our billing service, Orange County Billing, the patient was sent a bill for $30.00 as an unpaid copay.  We regret the billing error and we acknowledged this to the patient and she was issued a refund. At no time was patient double-billed and patient was, in fact, refunded for the portion of the amount that she had initially paid that was paid by insurance (approximately $68.00).  Our billing service manager called the patient and explained this situation to her and refund was issued.  Patient indicated she wanted to speak to the practice owner, and I called her several times and left messages reaching out to her and explaining what I could but she never returned my phone calls despite my best effort.  I have never seen or spoken to this client/patient and I would be happy to see her back at any time. For the record, I take issue with the inappropriate language and accusations questioning the credentials of our providers at our practice.  I called her several times and she did not respond to me.  Our billing department acknowledged and corrected the error and she was issued a refund for a deductible payment and still she describes herself as "furious" with us.  We have maintained a professional approach with this client since this process began and both myself and billing have spent considerable time trying to communicate with her.  I will say, in defense of my practice staff and providers, that referring to my medical practice as a "scam" because she was charged a deductible fee upfront shows a lack of understanding of the insurance process and a rush to judgment that is unacceptable.  Better communication early on from all sides would have prevented this escalation of misunderstanding.  Do not hesitate to contact me at any time. Thank you.Dr. [redacted]Board-certified Dermatologist and Owner, Blue Harbor DermatologyNewport Beach, CA
