Horrible nightmare. Estimate was great, then price increased on day of pick up by double due to apparent "inventory issues" even though I have receipts and emails from the Blue Hawk representative. Total lie about delivery times. Could not get a straight answer, now have been without all of my belongings in a different state for weeks. Communication is a total joke and there isn't any.y belongings were picked up two weeks ago and I JUST got communication after calling incessantly for days, that my entire household JUST shipped. Several other people have had the same issues with pricing. Show up, increase price by double then demand cash or charge 4% for using a credit card is a phishing scam, not a moving company. Movers themselves didn't bring tools, could not disassemble very simple furniture (just basic bolts) and were saying disparaging remarks while they were in my home, assuming I wouldn't understand them. Incorrect assumption. Despite numerous attempts to correct issues directly with the company I have been left in the dark.

Quoted a price to be moved from L.A. to NV, I put a $265 deposit. Movers arrived and said it would cost double, I couldn't afford, never got refunded.
On 11/14/19 I hired Blue Hawk Van Lines to move me from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. I was quoted a price around $*** after giving my inventory of furniture and boxes, and asked to put down a $265 deposit via CC over the phone and with an authorization agreement via email. The movers arrived at my home on 11/21 and told me that actually in order to move my things it would cost well over *** for them to load my belongings onto their truck. I did not have this much money and so they left. I called and called Blue Hawk Van Lines, and was given the run around by:

He told me that customer service would be the ones to reimburse my $265, when I called customer service they told me that he and sales would be the ones to reimburse me and from that point forward he did not return my calls, take my calls or respond to my emails. I filed a dispute with my bank to get my money back and that did not work. I feel completely scammed by this company. $265 is a lot of money to me and I don't know how to get it back. I am very upset with this company and have read other accounts of other people like me who were scammed and taken advantage of by them. It's truly a crime to take money like this from trusting people who need to move for work and family reasons and then find out that they were sold a lie and robbed and had their time wasted. Because I could not find a company to replace them in time for when I had to report to a new city and job, I had to put all my belongings in local storage in LA and have not made it back since.

This company should be investigated by the Revdex.com. How is this not a scam if they promise a price, take a deposit, then show up after your deposit has been taken, go back on the word of your quote saying a price that's unaffordable and then leave without any services given for the money spent and refusal to refund the deposit? They have not taken my calls or responded to my emails since November and have taken mine and many peoples money in a fraudulent way.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of my $265. In an ideal world I would seek that this company be thoroughly investigated and shut down for their scams that have been done not to me, but to many according to online reports and reviews.

They were hired by Safe Relocation Inc and I was quoted *** for the move from ***. The movers came and loaded our stuff and gave me a charge sheet with charges of *** After doing my research on Blue Hawk I found they are notorious for scamming and over charging. They have refused to deliver my items For not paying *** When I was told it would be 500$ when picked up and 500$ delivered

Delivery I would like my stuff, being 1000 miles away with nothing and only my monthly disability checks to cover my cost of living.

We have read the complaint and have talked to the customer by phone call and email since his pickup. The broker and Blue Hawk explained all the extra charges to customer in detail before a Revised Estimate was done on site by the foreman why the price went up. Customer is fully aware of the charges and knows why the increase was applied. When a customer accumulates more cubic feet space than originally estimated over the phone, the customer is charged accordingly the fee per extra cubic foot. We never refused to deliver but prior to completing the delivery, we have to collect a percentage partial payment prior to shipping out for delivery. The customer was aware of all charges and the terms and conditions that inquire his move he signed all paperwork acknowledging that he accepted and understood these terms. On December 4,2019 he talked to the manager and the manager applied a discount to his remaining balance due to customer not having sufficient funds to cover the total cost of the move. We have worked with the customer to help him complete his delivery, we never hold his stuff he was aware that he can pick up his household goods if he did not have the means to pay for the move. We never refused the service that is why a discount was applied to help customer. Customer was notified on December 11,2019 that his household goods have left in route to ID, driver will notify him 24 hours in advance prior to arriving to his location in Idaho.
