I wish negative stars were an option for BLUE KNOB AUTO.  Horrible customer service. DON'T let these geniuses install their self serving BLUE KNOB License Plate Holder onto YOUR vehicle.  The guy that installed it on mine used self tapping screws that were too long and they penetrated the FACTORY license plate mount on the front of the vehicle and then protruded through the bumper damaging it.  I didn't discover this until a couple weeks later when installing my permanent plates.  When I contacted them and explained what happened in great detail and also offered to provide pictures and asked for a simple, inexpensive solution, I was told that this was the fault of the prior dealership where BLUE KNOB procured the vehicle from.  WHAT A JOKE.  This was a BLUE KNOB license plate holder that some incompetent BLUE KNOB employee installed and damaged the front bumper on MY vehicle. I recommend you shop somewhere else for a vehicle because they will take absolutely NO RESPONSIBILTY for anything.  These guys are about volume sales and that's it.  They DIDN'T negotiate so I didn't either.   DON'T buy their extremely overpriced ripoff extended warranty or paint protection service, it just adds to their profit margin and they won't back it anyway.  Once the car is off their lot they'll just blame any problem on the place they bought the vehicle from.  If you think you need these services, shop around, you'll save 50-70% by getting these services somewhere other than BLUE KNOB.  Also DON'T allow them to leave the BLUE KNOB sticker on the back of YOUR vehicle or install BLUE KNOB License Frames on YOUR vehicle.  They DON'T negotiate and won't back what THEY damage so DON'T provide them with free advertising.

Review: As someone who was looking for a reliable car I thought the Dodge Caliber 2007 model would be perfect for me. Upon researching in 2009, I saw nothing but positive reviews and decided to purchase my vehicle in 2009. Unfortunately immediately after purchasing the issues began. I spent countless dollars on problem after problem. I've been told that it cannot be aligned correctly due to damage that was done before I even purchased the vehicle. I was given car fax when the vehicle was purchased and there was nothing negative on the report. I replaced the alternator, struts, shocks, tie rods, the computer, and more spending close to if not over $5,000 in repairs alone. I have several bills due to the necessity of costly repairs and cannot afford more repairs that need to be done currently. This car has been completely unreliable and is a money pit. I feel that the company sold me a faulty vehicle and I have suffered financially and emotionally owning this vehicle.Desired Settlement: I believe that this car should have never been sold because the true state of the vehicle was falsely advertised. The company should have to either replace the vehicle or give money towards repairs or a new vehicle. .

Last September of 2014 I was highly recommended by friends who have done business with Blue [redacted] in Duncansville, Pa. I followed up on their advice and boy was I ever grateful! I got the car of my dreams. More than I ever expected in service and quality. They treated me with Red Carpet treatment and gave me a deal I could NOT turn down! A year later I have been VERY pleased and blessed to own a fine car and do business with this company! Thank you Blue [redacted] ! I along with our friends highly recommend this company. ! A Happy Camper- Rodney

Review: In May of 2014 I visited Blue Knob Auto Sales in Duncansville, PA in search of a new vehicle. During my visit I test drove two vehicles and elected to check financing options on one of the two vehicles that I had test driven. When speaking with the sales representative [redacted]) I discussed financing options. At that time I inquired if they could process a credit application through First Commonwealth Bank in Indiana, PA as that is who my present vehicle loan was issued with and I wished to keep the business with that bank. I was provided with a First Commonwealth Bank credit application by Mr. [redacted] and I completed it as requested. A short time later I was provided credit options listing interest rates and down payments. I declined to purchase the vehicle as I was not satisfied with the purchase price. I left the business and a few days later began receiving mailings from various banks indicating that my credit was pulled and applications were submitted under my name for a vehicle loan with Blue Knob Auto Sales. I never requested to have applications submitted to banks other than First commonwealth. Each mailing contained my credit information and over the course of time reflected various credit scores. I contacted Blue Knob Auto and spoke with Mr. [redacted] who forwarded me to the sales manager. I explained that I did not request credit applications to be submitted to other banks. He apologized and stated that it is customary that the business shops around for the best rates and that it should not hurt my credit score. When asked for a copy of the credit applications I was advised that they had shredded it and had no records on file. The negligent act of making application against my will with several banks has negatively impacted my overall credit rating and caused injury to me.Desired Settlement: Changes to policies to prevent the release of private information to other entities or individuals such as other creditors without the signed written release from the individual making application. Any and all finances paid as required to correct any credit issues as a result of the numerous unauthorized inquiries.Personal credit protection against identity theft as a result of the unauthorized submission of personal information to various outlets.

Review: Purchased a $40,000.00 used pick up after the sales manager agreed to repair an issue on the rear bumper I noticed after thoroughly inspecting the vehicle. The sales manager ([redacted]) agreed the vehicle should not have been on the lot like that. I was told it would be sent off to a body shop for the repair but when I picked the vehicle up it was easy to tell an amateur did the work. Not much I could do since it was repaired as agreed.I did not inspect the rest of the vehicle at the time of delivery because I thoroughly went over it (including the undercarriage) prior to purchase and found only minor touch up areas in addition to the bumper issue. When I got the vehicle home I was showing it to my father and discovered damage made from a lift under the bed of the pickup (obviously done during the repair of the bumper). I called [redacted] and he asked me to bring it in for him to look at. After he looked it over he refused to send it out for repair at a body shop and said he would just have his people cover the exposed metal with paint, but not repair the twisted and bent metal. I told him I wanted it repaired properly, but he refused and said it was a used vehicle. Yes, a used vehicle his employees damaged. The damage was not on the vehicle at purchase. Once I returned home I took it to a local body shop, they confirmed the damage was fresh due to no rust on the exposed metal and was caused by lift. I attempted to contact [redacted], but he would not answer my call and [redacted] (salesman) did not respond to my text.Desired Settlement: Refund of repair cost; estimated at $487.60 from a reputable body shop.
