Review: 5/6/2014 contract was signed to have pool re-plastered. Job was completed. Approx 6 weeks later plaster in ares was fading in color, notified Mr Mike T[redacted] by email, states will have someone come and touch up. No one ever came, since then plastered has faded in several ares Mr T[redacted] states will have it re-done but crews are busy. Now grater than 10 emails exchanges later all promising someone will come and yet nothing has happen. Email are saved in file. It has now been greater than 1 year and he states he is having problem with contractors honoring warranty. As I stated that is not my problem due to I signed a contract with him not his contractors.Desired Settlement: Repair fading areas.

[redacted],This letter is in response to a complaint submitted on 6/22/2015, ID# 10680565. Dr. [redacted] stated that the Diamondbrite Finish installed in his pool has faded in certain areas, I went to the house and looked at them , I then called my subcontractor that installed the product and met him at the house. I never stated that the pool would be redone , I did tell Dr. [redacted] that I would have someone come out and take some water sand paper to try and remove the spots, I did do that at the same time that my crew went to his house to fix a leak on his filter system when his grass cutting guy broke a pipe. That didn't seem to satisfy him. The original subcontractor has since refused to honor is warranty, by stating the fact " He has no control over the fill and chemical balancing recommended start-up procedures. Dr. [redacted] was given a booklet on how to do it, he was also told by be and showed pictures that FADING, MOTTLING, EFFORESCENCE,AND SCALE AND IS NOT GUARANTEED. Those items are part of the nature of the product, especially the darker colors. I have no knowledge if Dr. [redacted] followed the proper startup , chemical treatment, brushing everyday for 2 weeks as called for in the instructions. In trying to keep him satisfied I told him I would get another installation crew to drain the pool and water sand with buffing wheels and light acid wash. The installer has broken several promises to me to get it done, but it is rescheduled for July 11,2015. Since he is not the original installer and it seems to be a complaint that is not a warranty issue, I out of good customer relations I have agreed to pay my finisher $ 600-800.00 to do this process. The warranty is for 1 year on the installation only, which covers separation from the substrate and cracking only. The manufacturer carries the 10 year warranty on the product itself. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 10680565. Most of the response is incorrect. I was completely satisfied by repairs done on broken pipe this was a separate issue and never had a problem. The fading spots were supposed to be repaired at that time, were not. Again 10 separate emails and 5 scheduled visits stating someone would come out to repair spots never happened over 1 year time. I was never given a booklet had to look up info on-line at diamond brite's web site (done on my own, not recommended by installer). Appt is now again scheduled for 7/11/2015. Review: We hired this contractor on April 28, 2014, [redacted] to build our pool. It has been a nightmare. We have gotten excuses and flat out lies from this contractor. The initial time quoted to build was 5-6 weeks dependent on the weather. It is July 25, 2014 and we still are waiting for the pool to be completed. We have had workers here less than half of the time without ANY rain because he tells us that he is busy, he has 20 other jobs going on, workers are backed up, the list goes on. He has come here and argued with my husband and myself after lying to me about not me not being able to pick out my color choice of grout because it wasn't going to last as long as the ugly gray grout that was there and looked horrible compared to the pictures that I chose from. He screamed and used profanity and his son had to make him get in the truck to leave. Every contractor here complains about him and states that they have trouble getting payment from him which is apparently why our job is taking so long. Now that we are ready for plastering, the builder tells us that we have to again wait 2 more weeks until he gets paid for another job in order for the plaster guy to come. We have NEVER been late with the payment installments and he has ALWAYS showed up on time to get them. We only owe 5800 more to complete the pool and we have NO PLASTER, NO EQUIPMENT, NO ELECTRICITY, and NO GAS FOR SPA!!! We agree to pay for supplies to plaster and he will pay for the labor. My husband purchased the equipment which cost $9800!! The builder was supposed to be here all week to discuss the plan to complete and obtain receipts for money that he now owes us!! He hasn't shown up, the plaster is done, there is no electrician to start the pumps to circulate water to cure the plaster. We had to hire an electrician to come to do that today. We were told that we have to pay 1300 more bc the electricity should have been run before the tile was done in the ground. A contractor told us that he did jailtime previou for this reason sDesired Settlement: Payment of all monies owed as receipts indicate for completion of pool.Proof of payment to all contractors.Allowance for paid warranty coverage by another company as stated in contract (should this company go out of business)

At this time, I have not been contacted by Blue Lagoon Pool And Spa LLC regarding complaint ID 10150846. We have sent a certified letter to the business asking for the money spent to complete the job with no response.
