Blue Light Security Reviews (%countItem)

ADT said that Blue Light Security was the billing company, ADT only provided service via them for us. Never knew about Blue Light Security!
Auto pay monthly charge remained going beyond 2/12/2020 when ADT stopped our monitoring service through Blue Light Security. Detailing charges as follows:

2/17/2020: $39.99
3/17/2020: $39.99
4/17/2020: $39.99

Monitoring Account No: ***
Customer#

Desired Outcome

Asking to refund us all the auto monthly charges since 2/12/2020. Stop any further charges. We didn't know that we were being billed by Blue Light Security until calling up ADT recently. We have no way of reaching Blue Light Security and didn't know why they had our bill and kept on billing us. All phone# associated with the Blue Light Security were found to be out of service. For six years we thought that we were billed by ADT for providing the monitoring service and billing. Don't know anything about Blue Light Security and didn't know if they're in business!

I cannot contact them to end a contract I didn't want. I signed up for ADT not Blue Light. I was not contacted by Blue light except for the invoices.
I had Blue Light through ADT, when they separated I got a letter saying my contract ended with both companies and how to contact them to keep either one. I didn't want either so I didn't reply. Blue Light is now invoicing me but I cannot get into contact with them to end the contract. The email and phone number listed do not work. I have spent weeks googling listed phone numbers for them- ALL are disconnected numbers. I just want to get rid of these guys! I had automatic payments set up for ADT and now I have to keep my bank account cleared out so they can't get it. I attached the invoice so that you can see the email and phone number and the last attempt to email them through the address provided.

Desired Outcome

I don't want to be billed anymore.

My payment disappeared and I still never received products promised
When we moved in to our home in May 2017, an "Aft" representative contacted us. They had all of our information, including that we were renters, and explained what we could get and for what amount. (The representative specifically asked about us being renters so it is in the recording)
We decided it was a good deal and agreed. We were supposed to get a self install camera for the front door but the other sensors would be included in the fees and installation.
They came and installed the device and sensors and after about two weeks of not receiving the self install camera I gave them a call and was told it takes a month after install to receive. During this time I paid my first month bill and the following month, through the email link that I received.
I called them a couple weeks later to inform them that the payment card on file No longer worked so remove it from my payment and that I paid up everything. When I received the new card. I would let them know. She said. No problem. She saw where I paid. Just give them the updated card when I got it. A few days later. I received an email saying that my payment did not go through. So I called them. This was their first attempt of taking money from me even though. IT WAS ALREADY PAID. She said. It was an automatic draft. And they didn't get a chance to stop it in time but not to worry. They had my payment. And to ignore the email. In between that situation and the following month. I reached out two times in regards to my camera and them still attempting to collect money for what was already paid. I was told it was on the way. I was then told that because it was a rental. ADT was not responsible for my payments. It would have to be this company. But adt would forward them the payment I sent. Blue light security told me adt would send me a check and then informed me that they sent me a check and I needed to pay them. AFTER THEY TOLD ME ADT WOULD GIVE THEM THE MONEY.
SAFE TO SAY. no refund or check was EVER sent to me.
I immediately told this company I could NOT do business with them because they failed to deliver my camera as promised. One of the reasons I decided to go with them. I was not going to pay for a service that they weren't delivering. And secondly, they scared me. They lost my money and told me they would "write it off as their loss". I told them that the money was paid. So someone has it. Or I want it back. If they could not keep track of their promises or money I couldn't do business with them.
I called and emailed to clear up the issue and the company wouldn't email me back or call me back. I asked for the recorded conversations or for them to deliver on the arrangements that they promised to get my business and still NOTHING.

Desired Outcome

I would like for them to stop emailing me bills. They also need to ensured us that nothing will be filed against our credit reports.

purchased service and was promised a $100 gift card in March 2019. I never got it and been calling since April. owner *** said she would send it.
I was referred to this company to purchase ADT Security Service for my newly purchased home March 2019. I signed up and was offered a $100 Visa Gift Card. I never received the card so I called to inquire and was promised it was on the way. After 6 weeks I called again. I was told that it would be next week (that never happened). Then I was told that they would be sending me out a check, per the owner *** (that never happened). I called back and ask if they could just send me an indoor camera since that was an item I was also told I would have with my order (that never happened). After that I called every week and spoke with multiple service associates that could only tell me that *** would call me back and let me know what happened to the check or Gift card. She was the only on that could address that or write the check. Now when I call my number is blocked from calling them and today the number is disconnected. I referred another person and they have a different number and it just rings then hang up.

Desired Outcome

Send the $100 Gift card or Check as the replacement as stated/offered.

They promised a $ 250.00 referral fee for all connected referrals. I referred a client to them, the system was installed, but they never paid the fee.
I am a realtor and I referred my clients, ***, at ***. The alarm system was installed in January 2019. Since then I have not received the $ 225.00 referral fee. The ***, is not answering my emails, nor is he answering my calls. Message were never returned.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive the referral fee of $ 225.00, which they promised for a referral.

Consumer called in stating the case has been resolved with the business.

The company's Sales Rep (via phone) and Office Manager (via email) agreed to cancel the contract due to fraud and poor customer service.
On 7-11-18, after receiving calls from an ADT representative in *** advising that my service did not appear to be active, I became extremely concerned. Notably, I had already expressed my concerns via telephone and texts with ***, Blue Light Security Sales Representative at *** and via telephone and texts (he has been trying to get me to switch for the past year via telephone, which was impressive in the beginning; however, later, I learned that they are on the west coast simply hustling) and phone calls and emails with ***, Blue Light Security Office Manager ***never get return calls and ***-fake number that realtor answered) regarding the following: ring doorbell camera not working, ring doorbell camera not being included in the monthly package, as initially stated, never receiving rebates in the amount of $51.99 for up to two months to cover my previous security and the difference of $1 per month for 36 months: $36 (the term of the contract) since the monthly rate was changed by $1.00 on the contract. I initially refused to sign the contract (noted email that I still have) with the changed rate going from $50.99 to $51.99 monthly, so I was later told by Office Manager *** that I would be compensated in a rebate for that difference as well, which did not include the waived $99 installation fee. On *** at 11:32am, I spoke with Sales Representative *** to express my concerns about the company not being linked directly with ADT, my account appearing inactive on the ADT side per *** at ADT *** Corporate Office initially reached out to me from *** and texted me her ADT card (office number: *** because at that point, I did not trust none of them, including the technician who installed the info and left me with his business card (music dj) at *** which is how I had his number, my inability to contact *** after leaving several messages and emails, never receiving my rebates, learning from the ADT person that the ring doorbell camera would be an additional $3.00 monthly, and the horrible experience that I had since day one, he agreed to keep his word and cancel the contract. He advised that he would contact *** and have the contract canceled within three hours. Notably, on X-XX-XX at 11:33am, *** sent me an email advising that she was sending me a $150 rebate within a two days delivery with a tracking number shortly that I have never received. I had already spoken with *** who advised that he was canceling the contract, which is what I wanted and still want, so I emailed *** back and told her to keep the rebates. I paid ADT through July 2018, while I am still paying Monitronics because I was uneasy with canceling my services at that time and just canceled today, as I am unsure if I will be locked into this contract. As a result of all of the previously noted ongoing problems, on X-XX-XX at 11:51am, ***, Blue Light Security Office Manager emailed me to confirm that my contract was being canceled per her discussion with the Sales Representative *** who advised me that if they did not follow through with everything that we (me and him) agreed to, prior to the installation of the security system, he would cancel my contract. On X-XX-XX after 5:00pm, I received an email from *** advising the owner of the company was not going to cancel the contract. Later, I learned that this company is on the West Coast and authorized marketing dealer for ADT. Despite my calls and emails regarding my concerns, which included ADT Customer Advocate *** at (*** , I have not gotten any resolution. I am requesting that this contract be canceled as we all initially agreed. Notably, the technician who did the installation did not sign the contract. The contract is just signed Blue Light Technician and Blue Light Back Office as a DocuSign form. This is absolutely horrible, and I am praying for assistance

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that Blue Light Security honors the cancellation of the contract that was forwarded to me in writing by ***, Blue Light Security Office Manager on X-XX-XX at 11:51am after she consulted with Sales Representative *** who initially advised me that he would reach out to *** to get the contract canceled as promised.

They did the installation before I signed the contract and now refuse to cancel everything for free
I talked with Blue Light Security for ADT service on May 2 and set up an installation appointment on May 5 (Saturday). I found out my information on the contract is wrong, so I didn't sign it and asked for correction. When the technician came to my place, I still didn't get the corrected contract, so I told the technician to come another day, but he said it is fine to do it today. During the installation, I found out ADT app is not usable on my cellphone and I want to cancel the whole plan because monitoring from my cellphone is the most important feature I want and I can't get it on my phone. The technician told me he is from ADT not Blue Light Security and he is here for installation so he will continue the installation, and I should call Blue Light Security on Monday for the cancellation. On Monday (May 7), I called Blue Light Security to cancel the whole thing and let them reclaim to the devices. The sales manager was aware of the fact that I didn't sign anything and he said he would handle this case. I also called ADT and they said my address is disconnected to their network so I just need to talk to Blue Light Security for cancellation. On May 8, I gave Blue Light Security another call for confirmation and he said someone is dealing with it. However, his manager, ***, called me on May 9 morning saying they can't cancel it because I passed *** free trial period. I said I informed you guys two days ago and now you said I missed the timeline? After some description of what happened on May 5 (installation day), the manager said she would work on this cancellation and give me a call back soon, but she never did. I called them on May 11 and May 17. On May 11 *** is not at office, and no one else would help. On May 17 *** still said they can't cancel it and there are two options for me. One is to downgrade the package and continue signing up the two year contract, and the other one is to pay $499 conciliation fee. Till May 17, I had not signed any contract but she said the verbal agreement is enough. Afterwards, I called ADT directly but it didn't help at all. At the end of May 17, Blue Light Security sent me an invoice saying the cancellation fee is *** now.

What I want is to clean up the mess, but Blue Light Security just do not let me do so. The installation is temporary with tapes on wall. I disarmed the system right after the unwanted installation and I even disconnected the power to it, however, they said they do not care how I use the system and they still think I've been using it for two weeks. I didn't sign any contract and I called off the installation several times but the technician insisted on it. Now why do I need to pay *** for this unwanted installation. When I called them on May 7 and May 8 for cancellation, they just said they would handle it and nothing else I need to do, but on May 9 they said I already passed *** timeline and my cancellation reason is not valid. As I didn't sign the contract, I don't think we actually have a contract to cancel. All I want is to let them reclaim the devices and clean up the whole thing for free of course.

Desired Outcome

All I want is to let Blue Light Security to reclaim the devices and clean up the whole thing for free.

Customer ordered an alarm system installation. We have a verbal approval and recorded phone conversation validating the sale.
Customer allowed the technician into his home, accepted the system installation. Refused to sign the required agreement, provided our office with an invalid credit card and now demanding cancellation. The reasons for cancellation are in wide variety and non are includes a system malfunction, improper installation or dissatisfaction with the quality of the work or equipment. Client alleges a jailbroken iPhone unable to connect and download ADT applications from the app store. We have control over neither.
The company installed in good faith over *** worth of equipment as ordered and paid installation fee to have it professionally installed at the residence. We are demanding our product to be paid for if the client continues to refuse to sign the agreement in exchange for the free parts and installation. We were willing to lower the charges but it is apparent from this complaint that now that is unacceptable as well. We are forwarding this case to our collection agency to deal with.

Customer Response • May 30, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Before the technician came, I asked for correction of the contract but it never gets corrected. How am I supposed to sign the contract when there are typo on it. Now you just call this "customer refused to sign the agreement"? Also, it is great to hear you have recorded phone conversation, which will prove that I provided the correct information, and you guys logged the wrong address and wrong credit card number, and that is where the typos come from. Please listen to the record again and do not make up things like I provided invalid information. It is not true at all.

Even if we had a verbal agreement with you guys, I did call and ask for cancellation on May 7, the first business day after installation. According to the contract/agreement, I have three trail days and I can cancel the whole thing for free within these three days. I also called on May 8, the second business day after installation, for confirmation and you guys said my cancellation is being taken care of and I just need to wait. But on May 9, your manager *** called and said I missed the trail period and you guys cannot cancel my account for free now. Does this make sense to anyone?? Did you guys lie about my cancellation status on May 7 and May 8?

Anyway, last week I tried to settle things down by taking your $499 "cancellation offer", in order to save myself some time. What I asked for is signed documentations from you guys that can guarantee the $499 will cover any possible cost of the cancellation. However, I still haven't got any response and now you are saying I'm refusing your offer.

Again, please provide me the requested signed document as my cancellation confirmation, then I'll talk to ADT just to ensure they won't charge me any monitoring fee. If it goes through, I'll pay the cancellation fee to you guys, and we don't need to talk to each other anymore.

They illegally run our credit without our knowledge. We did not discuss anything about running our credit. I did not sign the E-Doc they emailed me.
Feb2,2018 I called the company asking about their security alarm system, and they convinced me to get the system, but never I was told there would be contract, and that they would need to run my credit. Meanwhile, I received a document by email to review and sign. Once I found out about the credit check and the contract, I avoid signing it because I knew they had already lied to me. Same day, I received a hard inquiry alert on my device that they have ran my credit. I called the business, they said you have agreed over the phone to run your credit. I do have their sound recorded on my device, and never agreed to such thing. Here is the problem. This business is running shady, and should no be allowed to do business. we have lost so much time contacting the business resolving this issue. They are careless. I have already contacted the credit agencies and let them know about the issue. Overall, bad practice to sell their system. very disappointing. Hopefully someone can help in Revdex.com.

Desired Outcome

to resolve the issue, they would need to provide me with a letter that they have ran my credit by mistake as they did, so I can provide it to credit agencies to fix my credit.

Sent me an email offer of a $275 gift card for refferal to sign up for ADT service, activated in Dec.2017 & no gift card/response after many calls
I was sent an email to refer a friend for new ADT service and I would be given a gift card with a value of $275. I referred a friend and they signed up for new service in December and the system was installed on Dec 22, 2017. I have called on multiple occasions since the beginning of January and all the operator keeps telling me is that *** is either on the other line or left home sick and will call me back and she never does. I have even asked for the manager *** and he doesn't return my calls either because he is out to lunch or has gone home and he will call me back later and he never calls. A month and a half of over 20 calls being dodged. This sounds like a scam at this point.

Desired Outcome

I want them to send me a VISA gift card in the amount of $275 as promised or a check for $275. I also want them to remove that advertisement and stop sending emails of that nature. To me and others. Truth in advertising laws apply in this matter.

Was promised a $275 gift card in exchange for signing a contract for service. They have lied repeatedly about sending the card.
10/2017 made contact to discuss details of their service. Their salesman, ***, offered a $275 Visa gift card to get our business after learning that my wife was a REALTOR. Since this service is easily obtained, we chose to utilize them based on their offer. Since then, we have placed 5 phone calls to them. Their representative, ***, has lied on 2 occasions and said the card was shipped, even providing a tracking number that still shows Pre ahipment" via USPS. They also failed to react to an alarm that we inadvertently triggered while at home. We thought we had deactivated but an hour later saw the alarm pad was red. We then deactivated it and reset it. We never received a call from them or police to check on our safety. They not only lied to trap us in a contract but they have failed on 2 aspects of their responsibilities. We want out of the contract and refunded the money we've paid them to date.

Desired Outcome

We want out of the contract plus our money back $220.00 as of today 2/3/18

They promise a $275 gift card for referrals and tell you it takes 4-6 weeks to receive it. When I called about it, they said it would be more like 6-8 weeks. I have even been given a tracking number from the office manager Rafaela but it still continues to say it hasn't been shipped. She has informed me by email that it will be shipped "today or tomorrow" on four occasions and even went as far as to say "I assure you it will be sent today." It has been a few months now and Still no card. This company is a fraud and there is a reason it has a F rating. I wouldn't give it any stars if I could.

I purchased a home and thru our realtor we were told per email documentation that for signing up there would be perks . One was a Visa card in the amount of $275 . When I called ADT to schedule a set up time and went over what we were looking for in a home monitoring system. I advised them that we also per the email were offered a visa card. I at no time authorized ADT to use in replacement of the visa a "doorbell camera called "RING" My intentions for the money was to go toward purchasing an exterior camera due to it had more of a radius with us being on a corner lot. We were told in the beginning of the contract that we would need to submit a debit/credit card in order to start service. ADT/Blue light has kept that card on file and continued to charge the card without authorization to use that card. We have on several occasions tried to contact ADT in regards to the Visa for $275 that was supposed to be sent to our attention and they have failed continuously to follow up . We were also supposed to be credited for a month of service ,but instead ADT/Blue light has continued to charge us. We would like this issue resolved but ADT/Blue light avoids us. They have used the contract as a way to hold us hostage without any follow thru for their portion . I have documented calls and emails in regards to my conversations with *** and also *** who represent the company's in the complaint.Product_Or_Service: home alarm Account_Number:

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) Other (requires explanation)Due to this being a 3 year contract an this getting off to such a bad start , we cant see going forward with ADT/Blue light in a workable professional manner. We are asking for our contract to be cancelled with no penalties for further fees. If ADT/Blue light would like to resolve this matter in a more professional manner , we are open to ideas and suggestions. But we feel they have to also honor the original reason we decided to go with them.

Blue Light Security Response • Jan 09, 2018

Customer had an option at the time of sign up to receive a referral fee of $275 or a ring doorbell. She elected to get the doorbell.
At the time of install she did not have internet, but she notified the technician that it will be installed in a few days, so he can install it. The tech offered to return and help with programming if needed.
The customer then called 2 months after the install and said she changed her mind and does not want the doorbell any longer. Instead, she wants the referral fee. We explained to her that we can't remove a used doorbell so we offered her $75 and to keep the doorbell.
As of today, the customer has accepted the offer of the $75 and in addition ADT has credited her account 2 months of service.

Customer Response • Apr 20, 2018

I am following up in regards to opening back up this complaint. It has been more than 30 days since I have submitted more information with no follow up from Revdex.com. Can someone please contact me in regards to this . I am getting no where and was lied to in order to get into a contract with ADT .
