They provide fast and efficient service, with a really great attention to detail. We are incredibly happy with their service.

Blue Moon Plumbing and heating came to my house to check the drainage and then left.

When I call them they said no charge to do a estimate. Technician came and check it. He did not give a estimate and also he said he is going to call me back for the price to fixed the drain. After couple of days. It rains so bad. I called my friend to fixed the problem. After I fixed the problem. They are giving me a invoice for cleared the drainage.
They did not do anything at all. They gave me an invoice for charging me clear 15" of drain tiles. That part of drain tile was not block at all. They did not do anything at all. They just sent Les S to check it that's all they do. Also, When I called, Dave said will not charge until they do the work.
Also My tenant *** was there too. She also agreed with me Les did not do anything. He just came only.
This is a ***, a ***. How can they charge people like that. They promised that they do not charge me. I also gave them the credit card.
I am very unhappy why they charging me for $511.35 just to come and check the drainage.
I should not pay them at all. Also they threaten me to file a collection agency to chase after me. This is not the way to do business in Canada. I called the police. they tell me to report to Revdex.com to get help for this problems.

We had a plumbing catastrophe and Blue Moon was there - fast. Further, despite the fact that we were in a bind, their pricing was totally fair. Good plumbers but also great customer service. All of the staff that we interacted with were totally professional.

I am writing on behalf of the Strata Corporation *** at civic address ***. In April 25, 2016, we had hired Blue Moon Plumbing & Heating provide and install a commercial grade hot water tank for the building. The strata's representative Bruce from ***, a strata management company, had confirmed with Blue Moon Plumbing on the purchase and subsequently the warranty which was offered to the Strata at the time. There are evidences of e-mail chain acknowledging the confirmation and purchase of the Hot Water Tank additional 2 year warranty. Subsequently, after the installation *** was sent an invoice and was thereafter paid by *** on behalf of Strata Corporation ***. In January of 2020, the hot water tank which was installed broke down and required replacement. At the time, the council informed Bruce from *** that the malfunctioned hot water tank should still be covered under warranty. Thereafter, Bruce from *** contact Blue Moon Plumbing & Heating and over several e-mails chains, it was confirmed that the warranty was confirmed from Blue Moon Plumbing & Heating but they had forgot to send the bill to Strata Corporation *** or ***. Thereafter, we had asked Blue Moon to rectify the warranty, but they had refused. There has been communication since then between Bruce and Blue Plumbing and nothing has resulted and no solutions has been found.

On January 2, 2020 we were asked to provide a quotation for a hot water tank that needed to be replaced at 45 Fourth Street, New West. We had previously installed a tank at this address back in 2016. There was an extended warranty offered at the time of original purchase in 2016, but none was purchased, registered, paid for or implied. Though the strata now says that they had wanted the extended warranty, there was no questioning of the invoice back in 2016. As you can see attached, the invoice was paid for in full and there was no subsequent invoice for the extended warranty. Unfortunately, warranties MUST BE purchased at time of sale, and if the customer wanted the warranty, they unfortunately should have questioned the invoice at the time of payment. We can't purchase an extended warranty for a customer once they have exceeded their warranty period.

Because of the unfortunate circumstance for our customer, we offered 2 options--1 to install a new tank at our wholesale cost for the tank, and we offered FREE labour for installation. The alternate option (Option 2), was a more efficient hot water installation that the strata had expressed interest in, including a $4000.00 discount as a courtesy as well as working with FortisBC to ensure more rebate monies for the customer, as well as years of savings for the strata as the newer more efficient system would provide more gas usage and savings for years to come.

Our offer was turned down by the strata manager, with threats to disparage our reputation to other property managers if we didn't comply to his demands. Emails can be provided to this account. These emails were dated January 8, 2020 and we have heard nothing since that time, so we considered the matter closed.

It is unfortunate that in these times, that you as a customer feel like our offer was disingenuous. The fact is, every trades company has different purchasing power with their wholesalers. I can't comment on the pricing that our competitor gave you, and have no idea what product they are offering, if they are discounting their labour, are credible and will do credible work, whether their labour is based on journeyman or an apprentice installation....What we offered in good faith was what has been documented here and by our Project Manager when we corresponded by email. We are a family run company, and have had numerous service calls to the location previously and we have always maintained an excellent customer service rating.

The fact is that the purchase was an oversight by the strata, because the warranty was never sold, spoken to or referenced anywhere on the purchase invoice, so it was very clear that there was no warranty, whether it was previously requested or not. If the strata had questioned this issue upon receiving the invoice, we would have gone back to the supplier and had a warranty registered, even up to several weeks after purchase. We are now 4 years after the fact, and warranty can't be purchased now. There is no ownership over product that isn't bought and paid for.

We are truly sorry that this detail was missed by the strata, but any sort of warranty would have had to be documented and registered. Unfortunately the strata didn't question the lack of mention of warranty, why they didn't receive warranty documents/certificate, why they didn't receive a warranty registration number, or any sort of proof of purchase. If the warranty was an important purchase, this conversation should have been conducted 4 years ago. Unfortunately we have no idea if the warranty request was cancelled verbally, or even by phone, which is why it was never sold or invoiced for.

I am rejecting this response because:

I agree that different companies have different costs, but the difference in cost from your undiscounted quotation was too significant - close to $4000 for one hot water tank compared to other quotations. We had chosen the other quote and they installed it well with great customer service.

Your suggesting that we may have potentially cancelled this warranty despite the clear e-mail confirmation sent to you. There is no clear evidence from you nor any documentation to prove otherwise.

I am not sure why the burden of proof is on us to double check the invoice when the communication to purchase the warranty was clearly stated.

I am duly impressed. The customer service offered is far beyond expectation. Not only are the workers on time and very polite, they take the time to explain what they are doing and why and how each step must be taken. Our problem began when we got our municipal water bill with consumption twice what it had previously been. No leaks were found inside and the municipal worker after having us turn off all household water supplys explained as water was still running and the meter was counting there must be a leak in the line from the meter to the house. When this was explained to the Blue Moon workers they got right down to business doing the exploritory work that was required to proivide a fair cost estimate. As soon as the estimate was approved (very reasonable and lower than other estimates) and Blue Moon's service engaged, they got to work. I feel like the have 'saved' us.

was able to determine the source of a leak in our utility room. He explained where the water was coming from and what he did to fix it. He was very thorough and also very pleasant to deal with!

Dan C came to replace a leaking toilet tank. The new tank was not compatible with the toilet, so we ended up having a completely new toilet installed. It was a bit pricey, but Dan explained everything. Now we know we have everything installed correctly and safely. The response time was quick. I called at 9:00 am, and Dan was here just before noon. He called to say he was running a it late on his morning job and would not be able to arrive at 11 am as promised by the lady who answered the phone.

Brendan G was extremely professional. Not only solved my problem but gave me some tips on maintenance to save me repairs dollars in the future. I would recommend Blue Moon and specifically Brendan to anyone!!

We can't say enough good things about this company and their technician Dan C. They are prompt, professional and know what they are doing. We initially called to have some pipe placement changes completed in the middle of renovations. Dan arrived on time and completed the job quickly with no issues. For other renovation related jobs we have had Dan come back to complete and he is just amazing. He does great work and explains everything. We will be using Blue Moon in the future to replace our hot water tank. Jennifer in the office was great at coordinating everything and understood all that we were dealing with. We are very happy to have found Blue Moon Plumbing & Heating - they are a company that truly cares about their customers.

My relatives' rental home watermain leaks. Relatives were out of town so I assisted to address the issue. Our tenant helped and *** for plumbing company and ended calling Blue Moon Plumbing for an estimate for repair. *** from Blue Moon Plumbing came on site. No explanation in afvance there will be a charge involved before providing a quote. After the INVESTIGATION *** called me and told me the quote over the phone and asked for my email address for the charge to investigate what the problem is. I thought written quote will be sent along so I provided my email address. No written quote was provided but just an invoice of 3 hours labor charge for investigation. It is understandable to charge a fee OR AN HOUR OF labor charge to investigate BUT charging 3 hours of LABOR cost $395 to get an estimate for repair *** All 3 other companies I called after was FREE estimate and provided me the quote for repair in writing. We ended repairing the issue with another plumbing company with better reputation. One invoice was emailed for this INVESTIGATION cost which I never authorized or accepted on the day of INVESTIGATION. No further payment reminder or courtesy call for outstanding balance. 2 months later I got a call from *** credit financial services and informed me my outstanding balance is now past due and handled by them, the collection agency. I was asked to settle the bill over the phone immediately. First, I am not the one who call for the estimate, my tenant did, no prior discussion about INVESTIGATION cost, second of all I am not the owner of the home, thirdly a "so-called" collection agency called me and accused me I owed this debt. I called Blue Moon Plumbing and spoke to ***. She told me nothing is wrong with this process and I am responsible for this invoice and their plumber spent 3 hours to do the measurements. What kind of company is Blue Moon Plumbing is.

We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction; however, our invoice is for labour services requested to uncover and locate the water main leak which required repair.
After digging approx. 5' underneath walkways, and stairs and determining that the repair would be more extensive than a minor service call, we ceased work to inform of the requirement for further repair and provided a quotation.
Only after numerous attempts via phone, email and Canada Post, was this invoice sent to collections.
We regret that you are unsatisfied, however, our intention was to provide you with quality service.

Called for replacing Hot Water tank that leaked and Dan was at my home within 45 minutes. He was very professional and explained everything what he was going to do and completed the job quickly. He went over what he also inspected after completing the job.
Very pleased with Christine calling for service for me so quickly.

Chris P was very professional and thorough in completing the repair job.
