Review: My father, [redacted] rented a house at [redacted] Ave in [redacted] from [redacted] of Blue Oak Property management company. He moved out in Feb. 2013. When the propane tank was locked out as I informed them that he moved. Amerigas removed the remaining gas in the tank and charged our account. When I spoke with them it was charged to our account because Blue Oak Proerty managment never called in to inform them to put the account back into the home owners name, of which I do not know. With late fees the amount due is $85.48. We have went ahead and paid the amount due to not impact our credit score. I would not rent from this company if they are not able to take of the items on their end during a move out. I have emailed [redacted] several time regarding this issue and he will even respond my email.

I handle all of the bill for my father [redacted] and we would like to be reimbursed by Blue Oak Property Management $85.48 which we paid on the Amerigas bill that was not our responsibility.

Business' Initial Response

The previous tenant of [redacted] in [redacted] did bring to our attention an outstanding bill from Amerigas for the yearly tank rental. We told the previous tenants that it was not their responsibility and we would contact Amerigas. We contacted Amerigas and we were informed that their accounts in [redacted] had been purchased by Coastal Gas. We contacted Coastal Gas and transferred the account into our name and paid the rental fee plus a reconnect fee. The previouse tenants contact us again and notified us that they were still receiving bills from Amerigas. I told them of the account being purchased by Coastal Gas and we would contact Amerigas one last time. We contacted Amerigas and they no longer had records for [redacted] Ave and Amerigas stated that any billings to previous residents was in error and inform them not pay it. We informed the previous tenants not to be pay the bill but they choose to for fear of a negative credit rating.

Coast gas did show that we had an oustanding balace to pay. Which blue oaks should be responsible for reimbursement of $85.48.
