Blue Oval Moving Services’ (BO) response to my complaint is not acceptable Ultimately, BO did not complete the services that they were contractually obligated to perform BO’s rationale that boxes did not exist on Monday, May 12, when the inventory was taken and contract was signed, is preposterous BO’s statement that the boxes would be moved by my family is equally ridiculous Who hires a moving company to move only a portion of their belongings from one house to another? The three BO movers, who performed services on May 20th, agreed to come back and complete the job at a later date but BO management reneged on that commitment BO, in subsequent correspondence, made meaningless overtures to return and finish the job (past close of escrow on prior home) Why would BO movers or management make such statements if they felt they completed the services? BO should have made it clear that they would not move boxes arrived at my home on May 19th or 20th; the assertion that I/my family committed to moving the boxes should have noted on the inventory if it was not their responsibility Why did they move the boxes if it was not implied or outside of their scope of services? BO’s box count was also incorrect; there were approximately boxes which is typical for a family of four living in a 3,sqfthome, not as BO stated BO’s assertion that, on May 19th, they stated only two truck trips, with one truck, would be made is patently false BO stated that there would be one truck and three movers which is not what the contract stated and is very different from two trucks and four movers A reasonable person understands that two movers *** and ***) and a person staging (***) is much different than four movers with two separate trucks The two movers did the best that they could but were extremely tired after the first trip Had BO provided adequate resources, the move would have been completed and finished at a reasonable hour Additionally, my wife and I would not have had to help move our own items, not unpack as incorrectly stated by BO management The original quote provided was $2,200; when Blue Oval saw the house we were moving to, the rate increased to $2, This flat rate, as BO identified in their response letter, provides further evidence that it was a complete move, moving everything; not a per hour, per item or partial move (without boxes)BO is absolutely correct in their statement that boxes were not on the inventory; but a reasonable and rationale person, would not demand that every single item, such as toilet paper and toothpaste, in the house be cataloged Regarding BO’s willingness to complete the move and “work” with me; BO made absolutely no effort finish the job I sent a text message to BO on Tuesday (5/23) night, asking when they would be able to complete the move, but that message was ignored BO was called on the evening of Wednesday (5/24) to reserve a few hours of their time in the coming weeks to complete the move The call was immediately sent to voicemail; and I received a text message a few moments later that BO was on a move and couldn’t respond A few minutes later I received a text message stating that they were “booked until June 13th we did finish your job late” The text message was extremely curious to me as ***, [redacted] and ***, at midnight on the night of May 20th, all agreed to come back and complete the job [redacted] had shared with me that his step-father, ***, was extremely tired and, as a compassionate and understanding person, I proposed that they come back at a later date to complete the job We shook hands and left on good terms Their offer to return sometime after June 13th was also very interesting as [redacted] knew the close of escrow was a week prior and would not work One of my relatives called BO to inquire about their availability during the week of May 29th and they indicated that they had openings BO has not been honest or forthcoming through-out this entire process BO did not notify us that the dresser was broken prior to the move; they broke it as it was being unloaded on the first trip The bottom line is that BO is in breach of contract, misrepresented themselves and their services My original request, to be reimbursed $ for my time and expenses finishing the job BO should have completed as well as damage to furniture stands / [redacted] Style Definitions */

It is Blue Oval Moving Services utmost intention to provide the best customer care and we always take pride of the things we do by providing best care to every piece of our customer's belongingsIt has been quite disappointing to receive a complaint from Mr*** *** regarding this move
that transpired on 5/20/On May Blue Oval came to the *** residence to wrap all fragile items for the move which we provided as part of good customer service to help protect their personal belongings during the moveOn this date we also notified Mr*** that there will he a total (26footer truck loads during this move due to the amount of his personal belongings) During the estimate, an inventory and a contract was signed by Mr*** ***The inventory sheet is what we base the pricing and the equipments necessary, during the moveIt has been agreed and signed by both the customer and BODuring the wrapping we had once more assessed the move and advised the customers that the move will take up a lot of time and it may last!until midnight, We let them know based on what is on the inventory and the layout of both homesAttached you will find that there were no boxes included on the inventory, he clearly stated that he will take care of the boxesIn other words, we never saw boxes and never had included any boxes on the inventoryAlthough there were no boxes in the inventory technically we could have left all the boxes that were not on the listIn other words, he added about boxes, Boxes came out of the wood work because they were not completely packed during the day of the moveMrs *** was still packing and moving her packing while the crew was actively moving their thingsThere were approximatc.lyboxes that came from the kitchen, bedroorns, bathrooms, office space, living roomfamily room and garageIf BO were to bill those boxes we will be owed loading and unloading of the boxes mentioned at $each xboxes =$We provided (2) footer truck loads full to the brim, of his furniture's and items and the crew still was generous enough to take the boxes for FREE! As a matter of fact, the boxes created such a BIG DELAY because the boxes were individually delivered room per room not to mention there were three floors to deliver them toThere was stairs on one floor with 22sieps and another stairs with 10-steps, Imagine someone carrying boxes up and down those steps?!? Mr *** called and texted several times and the owners explained to him that there were boxes that were done for free for him already and we are not returning to give him more free services especially on a Federal Holiday(Memorial Day) BO even explained to him that we have other commitments and cannot just drop other commitments for himBO does not do hourly rate, because people tend to gauge moves based on their own assessments which creates problems most of the time and causes disagreementsSo we at BO do only FLAT RATEIn regards to the dresser, it was already damaged prior to load., and was pointed out to Mrs *** during the loadWe did not break that dresserThe *** move was completed and a lot more! We explained the freebies he got and we are not willing to do more freebies especially on a federal holiday that our crew is paid more! The crew worked until past midnight on his moveThey also made a remark that they had to helpevery customer during unload like to start putting things away and that's what they were helping onIf they helped they were doing things on their own to help, WE at cannot control what our customers want to do in their home during a moveMr*** threatened to put nasty reviews on BO and he did! He put a I star review on our *** AccountIf you look at BO *** Page we have very happy customers rating us star! For the same reason, we accommodate and we do not discriminate in any way and treat all our customers with utmost respect and try to keep them happy, It is quite disturbing to get threats from this customer to destroy our rating because he did not get his way! We have tried to explain and tried to reach a resolution but he was quite difficult and would not understand the scope of his moveWe are hoping this clears out the matter for we have tried to be nothing but FAIRIf we billed you with what we did for you, you will be owing us way moreWe did not breach the contract, we delivered what was promised and more! Respectfully, Blue Oval Moving Services

Blue Oval Moving Services’ (BO) response to my complaint is
not acceptable. Ultimately, BO did not
complete the services that they were contractually obligated to perform. BO’s rationale that boxes did not exist on
Monday, May 12, when the inventory was taken and contract was signed, is
preposterous. BO’s statement that the
boxes would be moved by my family is equally ridiculous. Who hires a moving company to move only a portion
of their belongings from one house to another?
The three BO movers, who
performed services on May 20th, agreed to come back and complete the
job at a later date but BO management reneged on that commitment. BO, in subsequent correspondence, made meaningless
overtures to return and finish the job (past close of escrow on prior home). Why would BO movers or management make such
statements if they felt they completed the services?
BO should have made it clear that they would not move boxes arrived
at my home on May 19th or 20th; the assertion that I/my
family committed to moving the boxes should have noted on the inventory if it
was not their responsibility. Why did
they move the boxes if it was not implied or outside of their scope of
services? BO’s box count was also
incorrect; there were approximately boxes which is typical for a family of
four living in a 3,sqfthome, not as BO stated.
BO’s assertion that, on May 19th, they stated only two truck trips, with one
truck, would be made is patently false. BO
stated that there would be one truck and three movers which is not what the
contract stated and is very different from two trucks and four movers. A reasonable person understands that two
movers *** and ***) and a person staging (***) is much different than four
movers with two separate trucks. The two
movers did the best that they could but were extremely tired after the first
trip. Had BO provided adequate
resources, the move would have been completed and finished at a reasonable
hour. Additionally, my wife and I would
not have had to help move our own
items, not unpack as incorrectly stated by BO management
The original quote provided was $2,200; when Blue Oval saw
the house we were moving to, the rate increased to $2,400. This flat rate, as BO identified in their response
letter, provides further evidence that it was a complete move, moving everything; not a per hour, per item
or partial move (without boxes)BO is absolutely correct in their statement
that boxes were not on the inventory; but a reasonable and rationale person, would
not demand that every single item, such as toilet paper and toothpaste, in the house be cataloged.
Regarding BO’s willingness to complete the move and “work”
with me; BO made absolutely no effort finish the job. I sent a text message to BO on Tuesday (5/23)
night, asking when they would be able to complete the move, but that message
was ignored. BO was called on the
evening of Wednesday (5/24) to reserve a few hours of their time in the coming
weeks to complete the move. The call was
immediately sent to voicemail; and I received a text message a few moments
later that BO was on a move and couldn’t respond. A few minutes later I received a text message
stating that they were “booked until June 13th we did finish your
job…late”.
The text message was extremely curious to me as ***, ***
and ***, at midnight on the night of May 20th, all agreed to come
back and complete the job. *** had
shared with me that his step-father, ***, was extremely tired and, as a
compassionate and understanding person, I proposed that they come back at a
later date to complete the job. We shook
hands and left on good terms.
Their offer to return sometime after June 13th
was also very interesting as *** knew the close of escrow was a week prior and
would not work. One of my relatives
called BO to inquire about their availability during the week of May 29th
and they indicated that they had openings. BO has not been honest or forthcoming through-out this entire process
BO did not notify us that the dresser was broken prior to
the move; they broke it as it was being unloaded on the first trip
The bottom line is that BO is in breach of
contract, misrepresented themselves and their services. My original request, to be reimbursed $
for my time and expenses finishing the job BO should have completed as well as
damage to furniture stands
