Lesson learned---next time I need to see if the vendor is accredited with the Revdex.com---it makes a differenceBlue Ox, which is evidently not Revdex.com accredited at the time of this writing or at the time of my move, was a horrible experience---they arrived late, they used an employee's unmarked truck because supposedly the company trucks were all being used, they demanded additional payment even though we had previously agreed in writing to a set price, and worst of all---they damaged more than a handful of items, creating several thousand dollars of losses for meEven though I had purchased the additional insurance coverage they sold me, they flat out refused to take care of damagesMore than once in my discussions and efforts with them to resolve the problems, they would say--"we are here to listen so we can improve." I was left with the impression that I was not the first customer to have heard this

Blue ox packed and moved my furnishings 30 miles and created over $2000 in damages. additionally they put furniture back together wrong and refused to correct it. Now they are refusing to p[ay my insurance claim even though I paid the premium and the damage is clearly their fault.
After receiving mailing when I sold my home from Blue Ox I requested a quote and ended up booking a move with their Dallas office. After two weeks trying to get my boxes and a from them. I was told they closed their Dallas operation. They left me scrambling to find a moving company. Terrible experience. Avoid this company at all costs!
Unfortunately I am just now reading peoples reviews, I wish I would have done this prior to booking my move with BLUE OX Moving. I hired this company because a) I thought they would offer good customer service and b) expected them to take care of my furniture. None of that happened. The movers were worst than when I was in college and hired some random people off the street to help me move. We moved from Houston to Austin, somewhere in between the move our 2 couches both [redacted] Leather were damaged, along with a living room table that seemed to have been dragged and completely destroyed. Other items were damed too but those were the major items. I though I'd be ok since I purchased the additional insurance. 5 months went by and no one could update me on my claim, no one came to see the items, no one talked to me nothing. All I ever got was a I don't know why this is taking so long from Kelly the office manager. Finally I talked to the owner Bill who offered me a joke of a settlement it wasn't even enough to cover the cost of the additional insurance I purchased and had 0 customer service skills. Basically said that if I don't like it to call arbitration and try and fight it through them. Bottom line don't hire this company, they are the worse movers EVER! and even have worse Customer Service and Management skills.
