I spoke with the manager ([redacted]) at Blue Ridge Auto who stated that he would give us another vehicle valued at $2000 but that was tthe best he would do. We paid $4113.51 for the vehicle (including license, tax and title) and $1837.47 (at [redacted] in [redacted], Va.) to replace the transmission. There is no way I could trade this car for a $2000 vehicle. I have documentation to show that this vehicle had to have axle boots replaced, and valve pan cover gaskets because of an oil leak. The vehicle was sold to us as being in excellent condition which it was not. I would be willing to trade the vehicle back to Blue Ridge Auto for a vehicle valued at the price we have invested in this car (approx. $5950.00) Regards, [redacted]

If you don't lie .... you have dementia.  [redacted], ([redacted], is your real name) .....you know the ad advertised 90 day warranty, with unlimited miles .... we paid you $700 to have the hood, front bumper and rear bumper painted, and gave you 3 weeks to do so, and still had to wait.  You have an excuse for everything, but never an answer or solution.  You have never once offered any type of resolution to the issues that we have incurred, only reasons why you can't do something.  Altho the owner stated we should have brought the vehicle back to him for repairs, you never told us that.  You only responded, let me check on your warranty .... and 2 weeks later never heard anything back from you.  [redacted], you are the epitamy of a scam artist.  Advertising the vehicle with a 90 day warranty, only highway miles, at a certain price.  [redacted], the vehicle had been sold 5 times in the last year, per DMV ...obviously issue with the vehicle, how would you know if the mileage was highway miles?  You don't even know the history of the vehicle!  I should have recognized your concern for people, when I stopped by your office, waited on you for 30 minutes, was friendly in greeting, gave you a copy of the quote from Cadillac Dealership to do the repairs (so I could drive the vehicle) and you took the quotes, folded them in half and told me you would be back with me after you check the warranty .... YOU WERE BUSY WAITING ON A BUYER.  That really, was a true scenario of you and probably Blue Ridge Auto Sales ..... "We already have your money, so get our of my way, why I make some more."  [redacted], learn the words "honest, customer service, integrity, and fair business laws.  By the way, DMV and small claims court will be addressing these issues with you and the dealership in the near future.  I find it interesting, you respond to Revdex.com, when they have already removed you as a business to do business with because of your non compliance to customer issues.  If you did business the right way ..... I wouldn't be writing this message, Revdex.com wouldn't have dropped you as a business to do business with, DMV wouldn't be paying you a visit in the near future, and I wouldn't be seeing you in small claim's court in the next few weeks.  By the way, have you already received your citation to appear in court?

I'm very sorry for the delay I reviewed everything and looked on everything the vehicle was sold to her perfectly fine the vehicle was in good running condition I'm not sure what she's talking about the vehicle is 20 years old and as far as the complained that she has is not legitimate...

resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. My concern is the employee which I had the communications with made it very clear that he would force me to file a small claims court case to get my money back. Given the dishonest representation of the car, and his threats of making the refund difficult to obtain for someone out of town, I have no confidence that the check will be good. They have also lied about not being able to reverse the charges, they lied about VA car inspections include checking the frame, and they lied about them gladly refunding the deposit if the car wasn't as expected. My credit card company says that all they have to do is to notify them and the reversal can be handled immediately. As it stands now, I have disputed the charges with my credit card, and they have removed the charge from my account until Blue Ridge Auto responds. They have until the end of March to respond. If they chose not to respond, then they default, and the reversal becomes permanent. If they dispute it, then my credit card company will decide who to believe. The easiest, fastest, and cheapest fix is to have them reverse the charges, or acknowledge with the credit card company that the dispute is valid, or at least that they do not contest it., and they will reverse it for them.In addition, I do not want them to know my address. I don't want to be victim to any future harrassment. If a check is the only option, I will accept a bank check from [redacted]. While the credit card reversal is preferred, if a bank check is the only option they will entertain, then I will accept $490 to allow them to pay for the check and [redacted] Priority Mail 2 day delivery (less than $6). I will not accept a company check. As I have said, I am convinced that is their scheme to get the credit card out of the picture and make it a small claims court case between me and them.

Hello dear I am currently reviewing the issue and trying to come to a resolution I just find out this is happening .

My sister had an accident (hit a deer) that totaled her vehicle so I called to check on a vehicle that she saw online ([redacted]) and get hours of operation I was told it was there and come on over. Upon arriving I was informed that the vehicle had been sold. I asked the purchase price of the van he said $4,000 which was $995 under the listing price of $4,995 which led me to believe they were open to negotiations. He said they had another location under the same name we could look there and call him if we found something to discuss a deal. We found something she liked they had listed at $3,995 so due to the fact the informed me they took $995 less for the van I made an offer of $2900 expecting a counter offer. He said he would call me back. I took my family to a local restaurant and waited on the call. 35-40 minutes later no phone call, so I called him. He was agitated but said the price is $3,995 with a 30 day warranty $3,500 without, so I said ok how about $3,200 to which he said I gave you the price, buy it or don't, take it or leave it, it doesn't matter to me. So I said thank you and informed my sister we would not be buying the car. We continued to shop on [redacted] and found a van at a car place just a few miles away from Blue Ridge. I called asked them again about a vehicle and hours of operation, they said come on down and look at the vehicle so we did. Upon arriving, we were informed yet again that a vehicle had just been sold, but they had lots of vehicles that we could look at. I was in shock! The whole time we were there they are talking to each other in a foreign language as if they had something to hide. It was incredibly rude. My sister was literally in tears by this point, so I told her I would call Blue Ridge and see if they still had the Envevour and was interested in making a deal. The manager said he had the vehicle and was no t at the location but would send a guy to meet me. I got there and waited about 10 minutes then up pulls a decked out sedan and a guy gets out, I say that I had called the manager and was waiting to talk about a vehicle. He was incredibly rude, told me he knew who I was, and he was the manager of this location. So I said ok, I would like to make an offer on this vehicle. Listed at $3,995 I offered $3,200 to which he says $3,500 and I try to counter with $3,300 he became agitated and said I know who you are you offered $2,900 the other day and you are lucky that I am even talking to you. To which I replied, I am lucky? I have cash and anyone in the world would take cash. Thank you have a good day. I then got back in the vehicle ready to leave and my sister was crying again. She had been without a vehicle for a week and begged me to go back and talk to the guy. So I did. Upon entering the location he says ahhh your back so I said I'll take it for $3,500 he says ok then when we are ready to do the deal he says oh yea that is $199 processing. The price just went up $199. I was just ready to be done at that point. he continued to talk with his partner in a foreign language through out the process and in the very end his partner tried to raise the price on the processing fee! When I called him out on it he looked his partner the manager who looked at me rudely rolling eyes and said just give to to him at $199 as if I was doing something wrong. Then he had the audacity to say to me, "you have money you are driving a $50,000 vehicle (referring to my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee) I can't believe you trying to talk me down on price". I have never felt so unappreciated as a customer in my lifetime the price changing and misleading conversation. It was a terrible experience that I would not recommend to anyone!

Review: Ad reads "3 MONTHS AND UNLIMITED MILES warranty" yet when the check engine light came on 6/2/2016 we took it to a Cadillac dealership, we were told it was not driveable. I got an estimate and hand delivered it to the dealership. I was told by the salesman, [redacted], that he would check with the warranty and call us. We had the Cadillac dealership replace EVAP Solenoid and connector and replace the leaking radiator. The total bill was $1388.93 after a 15% discount given by the Cadillac Savings Club. After two weeks, we had not heard from Blue Ridge Auto, so we emailed them the info and received this response:

And I didn't know we about talked about the warranty. What we talked about was that about the paint job and the warranty comes with the full price only

Sent from my iPhone

I have the printed advertisement for the car showing the warranty included and also all the work invoicesDesired Settlement: We would like to receive a refund for the amount paid for the repairs to the 2004 Cadillac SRX to make it driveable.

I have a copy of the ad stating, "90 Day Warranty and unlimited mileage". [redacted], verified the warranty at the time of sale and also when we picked the vehicle up after 3.5 weeks.Concerning the paint job ...... we paid Blue Ridge Auto an additional $700 to have the hood, front bumper and rear bumper painted. Simply by looking at the advertised price (which we have a copy of the ad), and the price we paid .... you'll see, the paint job was added into the price. Not only is the operation a scam operation ..... their people lie and try to cover up the truth. A quick look at "customer reviews" of the dealership expose the same issues I'm am incurring.

Review: We found on their website a 2012 Yaris for sale for $6995. This seemed like a low price, but we were interested. I inquired if it had a clear carfax, and if it had any problems, or history of problems, and a clean title. He said he would send me the car fax, but he only sent me 1 page. I asked for the rest, and he said he was having trouble, but I could see it when I got there (3 hour trip). He assured me that it was a great car with a clean history and that I would not find any problems with it, but he needed a $500 deposit to hold it for me from1/29/15 to 1/31/15. I sent a text confirming that I would send a deposit, if it was refundable should the car turn out not to be what we expected. He called and confirmed it was refundable. I sent another text recapping our convesation, and thanking him for verbally agreeing to those terms. He replied, "no problem." I then called and gave the deposit. The following day, I contacted my credit union to verify our financing, and to let them run a check on the VIN. I wanted to make sure they didn't reject the car before picking it up. They informed me that there were major title issues and reported frame damage.

I texted him that I was dissapointed that he had not disclosed the damage. He essentailly called me a liar and said I was playing games. I sent him my Autocheck report, and he started insulting me and said he did not want to do business with me. I said fine, just refund my deposit. He said we would have to talk on Saturday morning. On Saturday morning, I again requested my refund, asking that he simply reverse the charges on my credit card. e said his bank would have to decide, and then said leter the bank could not do that. That was odd since his bank has nothing to do with this. He billed my credit card from his office, so it could also be reversed from there. I continued to press, and he said I would have to come up there to reverse the charges. Another lie. He then wanted to send me a company check, no doubt to give me a bogus check and hope I want make the effort to go to small claims court. Later, he said in VA that deposits were not refundable, so tuff luck, and he would see me in court.

He lied about several facts: the history of the car, that VA inspections check the frames so the car must be fine, that he was willing to refund the deposit, that his bank says he can't reverse the charges. It may also be important that the car is no longer shown on their website (as of 1/31/15). I don't know if that means they sold it, or if they wanted to change the ad on it.

I made every attempt to be diligent, documented the the refund was refundable, and requested my refund in approximately 24 hours after placing it, so I hardly cost him anything. I have made several attempts at resolving it, but he refuses to live up to our deal.Desired Settlement: I want the $500 charge revered on my credit card, and I want the Revdex.com to make sure others know this is not a repputable firm.

Review: I recently purchased a car from a dealer ship on 2/12/14. The next day when I went to take the money 3,570.26 to him I spoke with someone else & he told me that the other guy didn't know what he was doing and sold me the car for the wrong price and that I needed to bring him $590.00 more dollars. I replied well that's not my fault that he got the price wrong I don't have $590.00 I brought you what he said I owed. He said oh well you still owe me $590.00 bring me that or you will not get your tags. I don't think I should have to pay the 590.00 since it wasn't my fault. I just want my tags

Review: I purchased a 3 month warranty on 3/3/2016 the day I purchased the vehichle. On 3/7/2016 I contacted the warranty company to say there was an issue with my vehicle. They said they had not received my paperwork. I contacted Abdul at Blue Ridge and he said he would take care of it and call me back. He never called so I phoned him later in the day. He said he would call the representative. I phoned the representative on 3/8/2016. The representative [redacted] at [redacted] said that my paperwork was still either not there or in the system. That also I am responsible to make the repair to the vehicle and show them proof of the repair or I could not make any more claims on the warranty to the veheicle. I called Blue Ridge and spoke with Abdul and he told me that I jumped the gun and called the warranty people to quick and I should of called him first before putting in a claim.Desired Settlement: Blue Ridge to pay for the repair to my car

Review: While purchasing a used car from Blue Ridge Auto Sales I test drove a 2004 Volvo it was making a noise. I questioned the dealer and was told that it wasn't a problem it was just due to the age of the car. I bought the vehicle. I took the vehicle to my mechanic 1 week later for him to check the car over and was told that the noise was the air compressor, the part was $1,000 and labor was approximately $500. He also stated that "someone" had tried to quiet the noise by putting on a new belt. I called the dealer and they stated that I was lying that it wouldn't cost that much to fix and that we would have to atone for lying on judgement day.Desired Settlement: Assistance with cost of repair.

Review: hi [redacted] here, I purchased a 2009 toyota scion tc from blue ridge auto sales on 11/20/15 the same night I brought it home I heard a ticking noise 10 minutes away from my house, so I got home called the dealership back and they told me to drive it for a week and see if I had anymore problems with it, I said okay weirdly as it sounded to drive it for a week so I did. after a week the ticking got worse and I called back, the dealership told me to contact his mechanic at [redacted] also located in [redacted], after about two weeks of it being there (which it still is sitting there until I can do something) he contacted me ([redacted] the owner of [redacted]) telling me hes been playing phone tag with the warrenty company. I called the warrenty company and asked what the deal was, they replied and told me that they had a sales rep come in and check out the engine he did and said there was some kind of additive out in to keep the engine quiet* I asked the rep about it and I didnt even know what it was until he told me everything about it and that the company [redacted] makes an oil additive but long story short the rep told me they wouldnt cover the problem even though I had no idea or even knew what was going on, I contacted the dealership they told me they werent a [redacted] and that there was nothing they could do for me so im sitting here stuck with a broken car with no engine trying to get some help ive been sold a lemon no doubt and I need your help please! ive only put 600 down on the car and got my financing place ([redacted] financial) to hold the first months bill until I can figure out whay to do.Desired Settlement: either repair by the dealerships pocket or my 600$ back and terminste this contract I feel ive been treated really wrong.

Hello dear I am currently reviewing the issue and trying to come to a resolution I just find out this is happening .

Review: On 07/05/2015 I went to Blue Ridge Auto to check on the purchase of a 1995 Lexus vehicle they advertised as only having 48700 miles on it and in very good condition. The advertised price was $3900. They assured us (as I was buying the car for my daughter) the car was in good condition. The ad read:"1995 Lexus ES300 Sedan fresh Lexus trade in. The ES300 is a clean no damage Car fax history vehicle. This one was maintained the Lexus way all of it's life. Great looking inside and out . This one is really ready to go for a long time. This is a 4 dr. mid sized luxury package from Lexus. Please see pictures to appreciate the condition of this car.Very good looking and running." They pulled the vehicle onto the lot to show how well it sounded. They again assured us that the vehicle was in A-1 condition. I paid for the vehicle by check and we drove it home. The following day my daughter took the vehicle out for a drive and noticed the transmission appeared to be slipping. We took the car to [redacted] in [redacted] And they confirmed our fears. I paid another $1847.00 to have the transmission replaced as the transmission in the vehicle could not be repaired w/o a complete overhaul. The experts at [redacted] stated that the original transmission had been doctored to prevent slippage as it was over full of fluid. We contacted Blue Ridge Auto and told them what we had found and the cost of the repairs. The only thing we asked was that they share some of the cost. Their response was that the car is yours now. We only made $400 on the sale and that there was nothing they could do.Desired Settlement: I believe that this company intentionally misrepresented this vehicle. I had just had open heart surgery and was not capable of properly putting the car through it's paces so, I therefore took the salesman's word for the condition of the car. I would like for Blue Ridge Auto to step up and do the right thing which would be to share the cost of the repairs to this car.

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
