delivered to the college through a third-party vendor, Condensed Curriculum, International, Inc. I will refer to them as CCI for brevity throughout this response. They hire the instructors, develop the curricula, and provide all textbooks and supplies for the classes.Therefor when a student has any kind of "issue" with the programs they are forwarded to CCI for resolve. The customer participated in the Pharmacy Technician, 60-hour training, fall of 2015, and then registered with Pearson Vue Testing to sit for the National Certification Exam for Pharmacy Technicians afterwards.The customer first contacted us with a letter she dated January 4, 2016. We received it January 8, 2016. She stated she had tested on November 16, 2105, but had not received test results. However included with the paperwork she mailed to us was her Candidate Unofficial Examination Report from PTCB, the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board stating her result was: Fail. She also included a copy of her email to the PTCB on December 7, 2015 with an unclear request/statement about their test.Our response to this was to forward her information to CCI for resolution. Their representative contacted the complainant in January, 2016. No follow-up by our college was requested at that time. We heard nothing further from the student until June 7, 2016, when the student emailed me to indicate no one had ever contacted or responded to her issues. I checked with CCI to learn what resolve had previously been discussed with the student and their understanding was only a complaint with the testing center, Pearson Vue,I followed up with an email to the student, whose name and email address had changed since the class. Due to FERPA laws this caused some delay to confirm we were indeed communicating with the student. Brief emails were exchanged to that end on June 7, 2016. I asked the student to call me to confirm identity and then we could discuss some options that we and CCI could offer to assist her to be successful the next time she wished to test. Instead she chose to file a complaint with you.Our goal is for all of our students to be successful. CCI is willing to offer the student the opportunity to audit the program when it is next offered here at the college. She could also take advantage of their on-line course with free tutoring if she felt this was necessary. Books and materläss would be included at no additional cost. In either case she could then receive a voucher from CC1 to re-test for the National Certification Exam.
