I was prescribed a medication which requires forms sent to my insurance. My appointment was 06/02/2014, to date, the clinic has not processed this. I made an office visit appt. to receive clinical consult from Dr. [redacted], upon my visit she prescribed me medicine that required authorization from my insurance. I filled out the proper paperwork and waited for her nurses to process my claim by sending it to my insurance. I have left multiple messages throughout the past few weeks to get help in resolving the reason for her staff not submitting the needed documents for me to receive my prescription. No one has answered my calls, nor returned the many messages asking for their assistance. This is a breach in the quality of care, and if the staff is unable to process basic prescription requests, what is the point of a patient going to see the doctor (for which I paid for her services) if I can't follow through with her treatment plan. Furthermore, there is nowhere for a patient to complain nor voice their concerns to staff inefficiencies on their website or voice messaging system.Desired SettlementI want resolution with my prescription request and appropriate contact information for an office manager to notify them of their less than stellar customer/patient care. Business Response On 6/23/14 the clinical supervisor responded to the voicemail left by this patient. At that time she explained that we have sent the information to her insurance company and had not had a response from them. We have since sent this information 2 more times. Additionally, we sent samples to the patient to cover enough time until we do get a response from her insurance company. We are at the mercy of the insurance companies response. We have sent them the information required. Patient has been called by the clinical supervisor personally and has been able to express all of her complaints and have them addressed. We will respond to her personally as soon as we hear from her insurance company.
