Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
No where in Mr***'s letter does he say that he will give me the $500.00, without having to change my responses on the survey. If he would give me the $I would say we could call this offer done.As far as him offering to fix the damage his crew did when ripping off the old siding. He offered to gorilla glue a piece of sheathing from the inside of the attic and that was definitely not acceptable. Then before that when the job was being done *** his foreman told *** that they would fix the rotted rafter end. He and *** noted this and talked about this when the soffit was removed and *** said this would be fixed. Mr*** says he knew nothing about this
I am attaching a copy of an e-mail that was sent to Mr***.Also, about the payment. *** came to my door and asked for the final check. I said *** and I wanted to review the job. *** said that the contract said nothing about us reviewing the job before we paid them. *** said the contract says that the final payment is due when the job is done not when we are finished looking over their work. That is why I had to pay them. Otherwise they would not have gotten a final check.Because of the scope of work that was provided, I feel a $would justify the scope of work we received. Gorilla gluing in my book is not a professional solution to damage that was done by his crew removing the old siding.Sorry the picture in the attachment is blurred. Also, you can see the nails I constantly find on my deck and also my driveway. I hope I do not get a flat tire. They never did the magnet over the driveway when the dumpster was removed

We have a 3rd party company survey our customers
for satisfaction.  Upon completing the
job I asked [redacted] who is the boyfriend of [redacted] if they were happy with
everything.  He said yes.  I asked if the survey would reflect that and
he said absolutely.  I then picked up...

the
final check, signed by [redacted] for the balance owed on the job.   When [redacted] completed the survey I was
surprised when we received almost the lowest scores possible for the job.  I then called and left 3 messages saying that
I wanted her to be happy and to please call.  She responded with an email mentioning rotten rafters and
damaged sheathing and again mentions them in her complaint here.  [redacted] did have to wait almost a week before I could get her
an answer because [redacted], who is one of the company owners and who supervises all
jobs, was out of town.  She told me it
was fine to get back with her on 8-24 which I did.  But I did contact her immediately once I
received her email. Our contracts state that we will “replace up to 3 sheets of
water and insect damaged sheathing”.  [redacted], we didn’t encounter any “water or insect damaged sheathing”.  [redacted] first said that we tore off a piece of
sheathing while performing the work and then said it was rotten.  I have offered several times to come back out
and make repairs.  [redacted] has refused
every offer. We were not contracted to replace or repair rotten roof
rafters as we are a siding replacement company.
There is no additional work authorization in regards to any rotten roof
rafters.   We do not have any roofers or
structural framers on staff.  We don’t do
that kind of work.  We have a statement
on a part of the contract that states “our installers follow a detailed scope
of work.  Any additional work needed or
requested by the customer must be approved by [redacted]”.  The email from [redacted] is the first time that
[redacted], the installation supervisor, had heard of any potential rotten roof
rafters. There was a damaged window screen and damaged deck bin.  As soon as it was brought to our attention we
paid for the items.  Her email to me stated “at this time if you want to make
things right, I would say give me back a thousand dollars”, but it never gave a
specific reason of how and why she came up with that number.  Her Revdex.com complaint says it’s to fix damage we
caused and aggravation. So in an effort to “make her happy” I offered her a $500
refund.  I asked if that would “make her
happy”.  She said that it would indeed
“make her happy”.  I then asked her to
take another survey.  Since she said she
would be happy I think I had a reasonable expectation that she’d be willing to
let others know that she was happy.
That’s when she accused me of trying to bribe her.At this time we feel as though we’ve been as responsive to
her demands and requests as we possibly could be.  We’ve done everything to try to make her
happy, and we now consider our communication with [redacted] complete.

Review: The company when installing the siding did not replace rotted rafter and damaged existing backing of house when taking the siding down. Went into my attic and found a hole where they just covered it up with tyvek and siding, but did not fix the damage they created. When they were doing the siding on the house they damaged my property and were not going to tell me about it, until I pointed it out to them. They did reimburse us for the damaged screen and the storage bin. When it came to the other two complaints we had to wait a week for an answer and then he said the contract stated replace the rotted wood. I said there was rotted wood. [redacted] argued the point. Then we come to the attic and he stated that was not rotted and the damage was probably there to begin with. It was not. They damaged it and covered it up thinking I would not see it. I had said I wanted $1000.00 to fix their damage and aggravation of all the things that went wrong in the job. He said he would give me $500.00 but there was a stipulation. He said I would have to correct my survey on them with [redacted] with all outstanding marks. I told him I could not do that and have other customers think his company is great. So now I am left to do a complaint on them. I told him it was like bribing me and I do not take bribes.Desired Settlement: I would like the $500.00 to fix any other problems that show up and also the aggravation. No I will not change my survey.
