Blue Ridge Respiratory & Medical Equipment

Review: Husband had knee surgery in December 2012. Insurance Company was waiting for authorization for services from Blue Ridge, which should have been sent with the original paper work and was not. The insurance company said they could not pay it without the authorization. After numerous calls back and forth between the insurance company and Blue Ridge, the authorization was not sent from Blue Ridge to the insurance company until June and the insurance company sent them a check on June 26th. During this period Blue Ridge sent our names and a bill to a collection agency. We paid the collection agency even though it was not our fault so we would not have a bad credit rating. The collection agency took $140 out of the money we gave them ($562.50) for their fee. Blue Ridge has still not sent us a refund and has the money we paid the collection agency in June and the check the insurance company sent them in June too. They have said they were going to write a check to us beginning on June 20th when I talked to them and told them that the insurance company was sending them the check. Besides the fact that we still do not have a check, Blue Ridge said they were taking the $140 out of our money and none of this was our fault. We should be sent a check from Blue Ridge Respiratory for $562.50 right away.Desired Settlement: A check to us for $562.50 right away and some type of confirmation to you that it has been done. I do not feel comfortable that they will do anything that they say based on this horrible experience.
