Blue Ridge Security contacted *** *** today regarding issues and dissatisfaction with her security system*** *** system was installed in April of She did experience issues with her door sensors falling off the doorsBlue Ridge does not normally screw contacts to homeowner’s
doors because of the liability involved in drilling into the doorsBlue Ridge sent service technicians to her residence and screwed contacts into her front and rear doors*** *** never called back and informed Blue Ridge that there was still issues with contacts falling off doors
*** *** also stated that Blue Ridge was not calling the proper people in order on her account*** *** provided a call list at the time of installation for notification of alarm signalsBlue Ridge’s records show that we called according to her call listOne particular instance that *** *** stated was an incidence related to power being turned off at her home, which she felt was a private matter, and yet Blue Ridge called her call listHowever, a loss of power is considered a security issue since that system is running on battery backupOnce the batteries die then the system will turn off and her home would not be secureMany burglars know this and will cut power to homes and wait until batteries have died and then break into the homesBlue Ridge is responsible to inform our customers of any and all alarm issues that are vital to the homeowner’s safety
*** *** received her annual billShe felt that she should not pay for the bill*** *** then stated that she was having issues with her systemShe was informed that she was under a lease, which gives her the right to free service to correct any issues not related to acts of GodBlue Ridge offered to come out and fix any issues*** *** declined and then stated that the call list was not accurateBlue Ridge offered to send her a new call list so she could fill it out and return it with her signature allowing Blue Ridge to make the requested changes*** *** declined this as well and wanted to cancel her serviceBlue Ridge informed *** *** that she had not fulfilled the length of terms on her contract and that there was a buyout for early termination*** *** did not want to pay the buyout or allow Blue Ridge to address the issues by sending a service technician to her homeBlue Ridge sent a letter that her account was going to be handed over to a collections agency due to non-paymentThis afternoon Blue Ridge contacted *** *** and offered to send a service technician along with the Business Manager to her home to address any issues with her sensors and to update her call listBlue Ridge apologized for any inconveniences that she might have experienced and reassured her that Blue Ridge cared about her safety and wanted her to feel secure and have confidence in her system*** *** still did not want Blue Ridge to look at her system and wanted to cancel her contract and work out a solutionShe understood Blue Ridge’s position and was thankful that we wanted to try to help her, but she did not feel like that was in her best interestThe Business Manager stated that Blue Ridge wanted her to be satisfied so that if she wanted to cancel her contract without penalty or any cancellation fees, then Blue Ridge would do thatShe agreed and was thankful for the resolutionBlue Ridge is sending out a cancellation letter that *** *** has agreed to sign, stating that she wants her contract cancelled without penalty and to cease all monitoringOnce Blue Ridge receives this signed letter, *** *** account will be cancelled
