Blue Ridge Trailer Sales & Service Reviews (11)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I'm not comfortable with having this business do any more work on my trailer They blatantly ignored the original request to replace the side ramp springs and choose their own solution, which involved soldering blocks to the side of my trailer Please note, this repair option was chosen by BlueRidge Trailer WITHOUT notifying me or without my consent In the original request it was stated that I specificaly wanted the side ramp springs replaced, which they elected on their own accord, not to do So not only did they ignore my origianl request, but they soldered blocks on the side of my trailer, did not resolve the problem I was having with the ramp Now they want to remove the soldered blocks to resolve my complaint? Besides the fact that this is a completely unacceptable solution and would leave unsightly mess on the side of my trailer, there is a HUGE trust issue with this company I'm not comfortable with them working on my trailer in the futureI'm requesting a refund of $for compensation for items that were not repaired correctly This is the only resolution I am comfortable withPlease find [redacted] email thread, specifically the email I sent on October 9th 2015, explicitly stating the side ramp springs needed to be replaced Regards, [redacted]

I took my horse trailer to sell on their consignment program. They said on their website that they would inspect the trailer and make recommendation for repairs. That the customer (me) would authorize the ones I felt need attention. After the inspection was done they said I had to fix everything on the report. The estimated was $ [redacted] This on a 14 year old trailer in good repair. They charged me $ [redacted] for this report. I presented to the owner Donna the website information stating it would be my choice what to repair. She said in her email that was incorrect information and they are fixing that today This is either false advertising or bait a switch

To whom it may concern:I have [redacted] email correspondence concerning our repair of the Side Ramp on [redacted] trailerThe contention is that the ramp is no lighter than it was before the repairOur service Manager, Fabrication Manager and myself, General Manager, all disagreeWe all tested the ramp before the repair and afterIt is lighter than when the trailer arrived here and it well within weight considering the age of the trailerWe have explained to [redacted] that we cannot recreate the action of her original ramp on a year old trailer. The portion of [redacted] is hours of labor @ $per hour or a total of $we are more than willing to remove the blocks we installed under each side ramp spring and refund for $All she has to do is to bring the trailer back here for us to undo the work we have performed. As you can see from the email correspondence, she has never mentioned a problem with the hinge we replaced on her rear curtain windowWe are willing to look at this side window and make whatever adjustment might be necessary to ensure that it lies flush with the side rampIt was perfectly the day the trailer left our facilitiesIf there is a necessary adjustment, we would certainly make it at our expense. We feel that we own [redacted] nothing more than a removal of the work we performed and a refund of her charges for same ($106.25) and we owe her an inspection of the side window hinge issue to see what might be a problem. We pointed out to [redacted] ***, in writing, that we felt it in her best interests, based on the extent of the repair work performed, for her to pick up her trailer here at our facility and go over all items in person She chose to have us return her trailer to our home (closer to her home), at our expenseShe also left the trailer at our home, initially, for us to take it to our shop, at our expense. Please let us know if you have any questions[redacted] ***

Very helpful and great service! I recently purchased a horse trailer from Blue Ridge Trailers and had a very enjoyable experience especially considering this was my first time purchase and I had lots of questionsEveryone I spoke with was knowledgeable and friendlyBased on my research and input from other more experienced horsewomen I believe I received a fair price for a new, quality product! I definitely will take my trailer back for yearly inspections, any servicing and recommend others take their trailers to the M***

Review: My horse trailer was taken to Blue Ridge Trailers on October 17th 2015, for several repairs. I do not think it is necessary to list all repairs requested, in order to describe my complaint. One of the repairs requested was to the fix the springs on the side ramp of the trailer, so that the ramp was easier to raise and lower. When the trailer was purchased in 2005, the side ramp would float to the ground when lowered and was very easy to lift when closing the side ramp. Over time and with wear and tear the springs stopped working correctly and the ramp became very heavy to raise and lower. I was advised by [redacted] at Blue Ridge that the springs probably needed to be replaced. They did not replace the springs in October, instead they added blocks under the springs, which made no difference to me IMO in the effort required to raise and lower the ramp. I've contacted the business and they maintain there is a difference in the effort to raise and lower the ramp. Clearly this a subjective opinion, depending on how strong a person might be. If there is a slight difference it's not noticeable to me. I should not have have to pay for repairs that did not fix the problem that was presented to the Business. Another requested repair/replace bent hinges on the side window curtain. After replacing the hinges the window is not lying flush with the side ramp, so water and snow will be able to get into the trailer. The window should be lying flush with the side ramp when closed.Desired Settlement: Refund costs/parts associated to repair side ramp. Refund labor to fix side window curtain.I would actually prefer that these items are fixed properly, but given that I've had to take this route (i.e. Revdex.com complaint) I think there is a lack of trust and I'm not sure I trust them to work on my trailer again.
