The noise was not coming from the clutch, I did not see the "burnt up clutch"I do not ride my foot on the pedalThe noise continued right off the lot that very same morning

I do not accept this responseI feel it was poorly handled thus inadequate to my customer concernsI feel that they purposely cheated me, on all my experiences with the shop, for this specific purpose of future or potential customers with this business I will also strongly advise them to not do business hereThere is a lot of folks in our community that have had a ton of issues with this companyThey have been awful to manyThey lied to me about the noise said it was the throw-out bearing, and when that gets fixed the vehicle, "will no longer make that noise, after we fix the throwout bearing"This was based upon sound diagnosis but that was the only initial inspection of the vehicleI took into consideration they are the experts, which I acknowledge, and hope you do too that they failed me as a customer! I was coaxed/manipulated into believing that they were fixing the problemInstead I ended up with a part I may not have neededI feel that there was no proof of necessarily needing a clutch and recently had my vehicle inspected a month before which evaluation came back it was fine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *** said my vehicle's clutch was fine!

*** *** had purchased a *** *** *** ** from
Mease Motors on 5/30/2013. We have only
seen him on occasions. 12/4/to
replace a alternator under a CAC warranty, again on 12/7/for new
headlights installed and some paint work.
*** *** had an apt
scheduled for 9/2/for the following
issues which included a dent in the left door, Conv top was stuck down (due to
*** *** forcing the top down when it was stuck from what customer told
Mease Motors) a front right fog light being inoperative and a headlight that
didn’t work. When he had brought vehicle
in he was only worried about the top at that time due to money reasons. Mease Motors had told him it is going to need
a complete new top and customer declined work at that time. We had expressed concern with the throw out
bearing noise along with other noises the car had. *** *** had made an apptto replace
the clutch on 9/18/which Mease Motors had completed the work for that
problem so it did not get worse and cause the vehicle to have transmission
issues. The vehicle had more issues than
just the clutch, it had power steering noise, etcAt the time of replacing the clutch for *** *** Mease Motors was able to get the convTop up for the customer as a
courtesy and did not charge *** *** for this repair so he did not have to
put a car cover on the vehicle every night (Which according to *** ***
the top had been that way for a few months)The cost of the repairs was
$and not the disputed amount of $*** *** came to Mease
Motors due to it being at another shop a couple months prior in *** and
complained they had charged him and had fix nothing on his car, which brought
us to making the apptto take a look at the concerns he had with the
vehicle. Mease Motors had not seen *** *** for any other service work since the purchase of the vehicle over two
years ago. Damian S***

Again *** *** brought the vehicle to Mease Motors due to it being at a shop in
*** prior saying they charged him a lot of money and did not fix anything
and now in turn saying they did an inspection and everything was well. The vehicle had multiple issues one being the
clutch and throw out bearing in which the customer had come to Mease Motors
after mechanics had left for the evening and an employee here had showed *** *** the clutch we had removed and showed him how the clutch was burnt up
completely, the pressure plate was blue and purple and why it was making the
noiseCustomer was also told it was due to while driving resting his foot on
the clutch pedalIn previous response
we have not seen customer for regular maintenance on vehicle, we came in under
our estimate for the clutch job and had fixed that noise it was making. It also had power steering noise, conv top
stuck down due to customer shoving it down manually that Mease Motors again as
a courtesy got up for *** *** at no charge. We have performed that job only due to what
customer could afford at that time. Our shop is very busy and do not have time to
tie a lift up for a couple of days to perform unnecessary work that does not
need to be doneWe strive to
accommodate and please all of our customers and do all that we canWe stand behind our work and are a *** approved facility and in no way perform work that does not need to be completed
or guess at our work

The 2002 [redacted] purchased by [redacted] was serviced at [redacted] in Harrisburg.  We use [redacted] to service many of our For Sale Lot vehicles, Phil at [redacted] serviced the vehicle and informed us that it was ready for retail.  Unfortunately the brake lines malfunctioned within a few days of the...

[redacted] purchase.  Within a few days of finding out about the problem we picked the vehicle up and brought it back to Mease Motors to replace the brake lines.  We replaced all of the brake lines, the brake caliper and fog lamps.  We also were not pleased with the condition of the brakes and rotors so we replaced these as well at no charge to the [redacted]s.  This was the first time that we had a problem with a vehicle that was serviced by Phil at [redacted].  However we went to extensive efforts to repair the vehicle and attempt to keep the customer satisfied.  The [redacted]s picked the vehicle up and the next day brought it back complaining about a whine noise.  We drove the vehicle and struggled to duplicate the problem.  At least 5 employees including the Head Mechanic of Mease Motors have driven the vehicle, the whine occurs but very intermittently and for very short periods of time "15 seconds".  The whine is never as loud as the [redacted]s claim it to be and does not hinder the drivability of the vehicle.  We at Mease Motors feel that this 2002 [redacted] is a good vehicle and disagree with the assessment of the claimant.  Thanks Greg A[redacted]
