Blue Sky Frenchies

I was interested in purchasing a French Bulldog puppy. On Wednesday, January 29, 2020, I found the company "Blue Sky Frenchies" (gotfrenchiesupreme.online) after searching for puppies in my area on ***. On the website, the seller claimed to have French bulldog puppies available for $700. The website also stated that the seller ships the puppies nationwide for a fee of $850.

I emailed the seller using the website's "Contact Us" form. The next morning, on Thursday, January 30, I received a text message from phone number (904)222-3459, stating that my email was received and informing me that the seller had sent an email with more information about the puppy I was interested in. Upon checking my email, I had received a message from "french lover" ([email protected]). The email contained photos and videos of the puppy and asked that I provide some basic information for the invoice. I sent back my information and shortly thereafter received a contract, listing Willard H as the seller and myself as the bu***. The contract had already been signed by the seller. I signed the contract, sent $850 via *** to Brenda D, and emailed the signed contract along with a screenshot of the *** transfer confirmation. I texted the (904)222-3459 phone number and let the seller know that I had emailed the contract and payment confirmation. The seller responded that s/he was preparing the puppy for shipment and even included a picture of the bed and toys the puppy was to be shipped with.

The following day, Friday, January 31, I received an email and phone call from Virgin Pets Transport. The person on the phone informed me that they had received the puppy from Mr. H, the seller, but that the puppy was delivered in the wrong kind of create for shipping. The document attached to the email explained that there are two types of crates that puppies can be shipped in, and that I would need to make a selection of which one I wanted the puppy to be sent in. Based on my selection, a partial refund of the crate amount would be given when I picked the puppy up from the airport. I sent $900 via *** to Joy D and email the *** transfer confirmation.

After sending the money for the new crate, both the seller and the transport company became very unresponsive. I repeatedly asked for shipping/tracking/airline information, and neither would respond to my requests. I called, texted, and emailed repeatedly and no one would answer or respond. I called the airport to see if there was anyway to know if any packages had been delivered for me, and they could not help me without knowing the airline information. I continued calling, texting, and emailing both the seller and the transport company to no avail.

The next morning, I continued calling, and finally, Virgin Pets Transport emailed me saying that the puppy needed a CITES permit in order to fly or else he would be quarantined. The permit was $1600, to be refunded upon the puppy's arrival. I called/texted (904)222-3459 to confirm, and the seller stated that it was his/her understanding that an additional permit was required. However, upon researching the permit, I discovered that the permit was not applicable to domestic pets traveling on domestic flights. This particular permit was necessary only for wild animals and plants being imported from other countries.

I asked repeatedly for information on the puppy's whereabouts and for flight information. None was every provided. I told both the seller and transport company that I was not sending anymore money until I had the puppy's tracking information. Both parties stopped responding, and I have not heard from them since.
