painting, which we did. It seems her only dispute pertains to the painting. Yes, we were one days work away from finishing when she had her episode & turned on my workers. We had a very good report with her until the last day. In her words we had established a friendship. She gave us a bottle of wine, she gave my employee a gift of jewelry. She had us for a planned dinner. She even offered her home to us instead of us at a motel; we said thank you, but declined. In return we gave her jobs well done. Once again, I'm an insulator, but was willing to help her out. I drove 90 miles each way & fit her into my already booked & busy schedule. Yes, there were times we were late due to traffic or truck scales. I would call she would say, " No problem. I will leave the key out for you." We are 100% trustworthy & she stated that we were the first & only ones she ever trusted in her home alone. As far as doing messy or incomplete work, that is untrue. One of my employees, who was painting ceilings, removed all her can lights (approx 16) to paint ceilings & washed all 32 pieces of her lights & cleaned all 16 bulbs. [redacted] asked me to show her how to put one back on & that she would take care of them. My employee also scrubbed alot of grease off her ceiling, dusted everything, mopped, cleaned windowsills & her baseboards. Her house was left spotless. [redacted] shared with us about her personal battles due to a severe head injury that caused her problems with memory & processing. She told us her own daughter not thought she was "psycho" and was not speaking to her. [redacted] also takes medication that is prescribed to bipolar disorder patients. [redacted]'s mentally fragile state was apparent from our first meeting. I believe these are the reasons for her 180 switch. Unless she was trying to get out of her portion of the bill which would have been due on that last day. She also owes me for 2 cans of paint, which I have receipts for. Our contract stated she was to supply the paint. It's unfortunate that she turned on us because we really enjoyed the time we shared with her. Every job we did for her was done with the utmost standards & pride in our workmanship and I do not owe her a refund for anything. The $500 she gave was only a partial payment with balance due upon completion. Normally I would give in to appease the customer, but I gave [redacted] more that a reasonable price & went out of my way to help her. I also installed 2 extra duct shoots & installed 2 new vents for her at no charge. I'm already out of 2 cans of paints & the remainder of the bill which is still unpaid. I do appreciate the opportunity to reply to her complaint and wish the best for her.Thank you.[redacted]

It's unfortunate that she turned on us because we really enjoyed the time we shared with her. Every job we did for her was done with the utmost standards & pride in our workmanship and I do not owe her a refund for anything. Thank you.
