Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I find it totally unacceptable and untrueThere was absolutely nothing in the newspaper ad to indicate it was a Limited (Mon- Thurs.) specialIn addition I gave the ad to the waiter before we orderedHe said he would have to check with the managerHe never said anything more to usWhen the bill came it was for full priceI complained to Manager and he did not even have the courtesy to respondI have a travel agency and will see to it that our clients as well as others in travel circles I frequent "black ball" the restaurant and believe you should post a similar warning.They are obviously unethical Regards, [redacted]

In retrospect it would have been prudent to just send a $check Unfortunately that horse has left the barn We acknowledge that the complainant, as does anyone, has a right to their opinionWe are not unethical nor do we provide untrue statements nor do we engage in purposely misleading advertising A simple scan of the 100's of reviews our business has received on [redacted] , [redacted] , ***, [redacted] and other review sites will not reveal evidence of such characteristicsIt now seems that the consequences have escalated to a promised campaign to get clients and other industry members to "black ball" our business That promise or threat as it could be interpreted makes it totally impossible for us to even consider any monetary consideration to the complainant, doing so would appear as if we were paying to avoid the promised negative campaign which for intents and purposes would be "hush" money and doing that would be unethical and we are not unethicalWe stand by our original response to the complaint

We have a fresh ad in the *** *** every day of the week. During the offseason the ads for the Blue Spruce Inn Steak House are as follows: each Sunday through the Thursday the add states "Every Entree Half Price" each Friday the ad states "Make it a course Dinner at no additional Charge"
and each Saturday it states "Coin Toss Saturday". In addition to unique daily adds we have a foot by foot banner hanging below the sign at the entrance to our parking lot stating the same promotions. Also the server when greeting new guests explains the promotion of the day.During this off-season we have served 4,dinners and there has been no other confusion or issue. We feel the offer was clear for the Friday, it was also readily viewable when entering our parking lot and again explained at the table by the server. We do not endeavor to mislead any guest and do not feel we have done so on the occasion either

In addition I gave the ad to the waiter before we ordered. He said he would have to check with the manager. He never said anything more to us. When the bill came it was for full price. I complained to Manager and he did not even have the courtesy to respond. We acknowledge that the complainant, as does anyone, has a right to their opinion. We are not unethical nor do we provide untrue statements nor do we engage in purposely misleading advertising.  A simple scan of the 100's of reviews our business has received on [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted] and other review sites will not reveal evidence of such characteristics.
