Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:at the time I dropped the coat off I went over each clasp with the girl at the desk and only the first and third needed to be tightenedThe second one was fine and broke off in their cleaning processThe back of the coat did not have any marks or matting on itIt simply needed to be cleaned after wearing it this winterThe coat looks completely different now.The owner was very aggressive and did not want to hear what I had to say when I picked the coat up at my 3rd visit - as it was not ready the first two times I was promisedMy husband came in with me at the 3rd try and said he is not willing to do anything so just take the coatSaying there is no way it was his cleaning process and speaking loudly over me is not an owner I'd like to do business with. There is no way to fix what they did to the coat Regards, [redacted]

I was away for the weekend and the customer came back in before I had the opportunity to speak to my manager who was not coming in till 3:00 that dayShe left me a message but , after seeing the problem, wanted to speak to her to gauge her assessment of the situation. "matting":As I
explained to the customer, the matting only occurs in that area of the fur coat that she sits onThe whole coat goes thru the cleaning process and it is not selectiveTHe "matting" was obviously the result of prolonged pressure. Broken clasp: The clasp is one that open and closes around a catchIt was cleaned in the closed positionWhile it"s possible it could have broken off in the cleaning, it happened at the point where it bends and the more likely cause was metal fatigueWe pointed out the broken clasp to the customer and offered to replace it. We have a very thorough inspection process and missed the "matting" of the coatThe customer, however, went right to the spot in the back of the coat when she picked it upThis, combined with the fact that I offered to make her whole by replacing the clasp and refurbishing the "matting" with a fur brush makes me suspiciousShe wasn't interested. I also, in recognition that she was not happy with her experience, did not charge her for our workWhat she describes as my rudeness was actually my insistence that the "matting" did not occur as the result of cleaning

Review: I called Blue Swan Cleaners to ask if they clean faux furs. They said yes and we negotiated a price of 15 dollars. I dropped the coat off on Friday and showed the girl the 1st and 3rd clasps needed to be sewn tighter. She said it would be at no additional charge and was Wednesday ok. I went back on Wednesday and was told the coat was not ready (clasps were not done). I went back 2 days later and was told the 2nd clasp was broken and they could not find it. I examined the coat and noticed the back of the fur was matted and looked burned. The girl said she didn't notice it and would talk to the owner. I left my number and my coat again. The next day I went back as I did not receive a call. I started to explain this to the owner who took no responsibility for the damage, was rude and therefore I just took my coat now missing a clasp and damaged.Desired Settlement: I would like the fair market value for my coat of $165.
