Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. To be very accurate here, [redacted]'s recollection of events are not in the least bit accurate. What's happening here is now painfully obvious. [redacted] did what many used car salesmen will do. He said what he had to say in order to make a sale. I told him the only way I would purchase this automobile owned by [redacted] and his wife [redacted] would be to contact her after the sale was complete so that I could confirm everything about the car as far as its celebrity status as well as its longevity of ownership by the late [redacted]. He told me he had talked to her quite a few times about the car and that he would be happy to give me her phone number. In reality he has never talked with her and does not have her number. This is why he has taken the current stance he holds. In my opinion [redacted] From Blue Chip Motorsales should be ashamed of himself. He knows I am not going to ship the car back to him for a return because it costs $2500 for me to get it shipped and will cost me $2500 to ship it back at a lose of $5000. As a retired Air Force Major I have always done things with honor and integrity. [redacted] would do well to exercise these same principles

[redacted]'s recollection of the events are not accurate.  I am happy to speak with him to discuss the matter but it will not end in me giving out the personal information he requested.  What I told him when he purchased the car was that he would have access to previous owner's...

information after completing the purchase.  The files are complete with names, addresses and phone numbers.  The previous owner enjoys some celebrity and it appears as though Mr. [redacted]'s interest in contacting her are beyond normal due diligence after the purchase of a vehicle. I hope that the Revdex.com does not encourage or empower his behavior. At the time he expressed his concern we offered to rescind the transaction and return his money if he was not satisfied.  I am not certain what more I could do to assist [redacted].  He has my phone number and is welcome to discuss this further if he would like.  Again, that conversation will not end up with me giving out the phone number.

Review: On November 19, 2014 I purchased a 1987 Mercedes Benz 560 SEC with 159,111 miles on it from [redacted] at BlueChip Motorcars. This is a very special car in many ways and is the reason I purchased the car. This car was owned from new by the famous actor who passed away in September 2009 named [redacted]. The car was the star of a movie in 1988 called "Roadhouse." When the movie was finished Mr. [redacted] purchased the car from the movie for himself and drove it right up until the time he died. Before I purchased this car from [redacted] we talked on the phone several times and I told him that the only condition under which I would purchase this car is if I could talk with Mr. [redacted]'s widow, [redacted]. I am not just purchasing a used Mercedes here, I am purchasing a famous movie car as well as a car owned for many years by a very famous actor, thereby making the car far more valuable. Talking with [redacted] would give me more information on the car as well as the time Mr. [redacted] spent with the car, its history, etc. [redacted] told me he had talked with [redacted] many times and that she was very nice and that he would be happy to give me her number in Boca Raton where she currently resides only after I took delivery of the car and after I received the title from them. We agreed and a deal was struck at 12,500 for the purchase of the car. I wired the money the next day,, arranged transportation, the car was delivered to me just fine and I received the title just fine. So naturally I called the day the title arrived at my house to get the phone number for [redacted] would not talk with me !! He made his secretary talk with me. She told me [redacted] was not "comfortable" giving me her number. I insisted it was part of our deal and asked that he call me back. [redacted] will not talk with me nor call me back. He has broken his word and our oral contract. Thereby making the car less valuable. He is a dishonorable man !! I request [redacted] fulfill his part of the deal and provide the agreed upon phone #.Desired Settlement: I request [redacted] from BlueChip Motorcars provide the agreed upon phone number for [redacted] in Boca Raton, Florida

Review: Involves a 2000 Acura 3.2TL 4 Door Sedan. In February 2015 vehicle was taken to Family Service Center after another mechanic completed a tune-up and advised that the engine needed a valve job that would be costly. Car was taken to Family Service Center for second opinion. [redacted], owner, advised that a new engine was needed; either rebuilt or a new engine. Because I recently had replaced brakes, battery, bought 4 new tires, and had the car serviced on a regular 6 month basis, I felt it best to continue with this car even though I knew it was not valued the cost. After researching new and used cars, I felt it would be more financially sound to have the car repaired than to replace it with another car. Car was taken to Family Service Center in February where I was advised nothing would be done for at least three weeks because there was only one mechanic that worked on foreign cars and he was going on vacation for 2 weeks. Owner advised tI bring car in and he would begin to order necessary parts so upon return of mechanic, he could begin working on car immediately. Consequently, I rented a car for 3 weeks. Upon mechanic's return from vacation, he worked on it for approximately another 10 days, installing a rebuilt engine. When ready, I was advised that car should be returned in 30 day intervals for a 90 day period for review at no charge. When returning after first 30 days, I noted there was an oil leak. After mechanic reviewed, he claimed it was a serious leak and could not be repaired, a new rebuilt engine had to be put in at my cost. Very upset, I advised that Dpt. of Consumer Affairs would be notified. Owner then agreed to get supplier to provide another engine & I would not be charged labor. Another rebuilt engine was installed, after 10 days, car was bucking dangerously. Returned car. Owner it was transmission problem now & he could get a transmission at a good price. Initially told cost would be $2500 - Final figure was $5,339.77 and CAR WAS INOPERABLE!Desired Settlement: Car was brought in with engine problem. Never was any severe leaking, nor was there any severe bucking of the car and no mention of transmission problems. After having 2 rebuilt engines installed & paying owner $5,339.77, he then advised there was a need for a replacement transmission. In final, I was left with an inoperable car. Financial refund is warranted since I was not provided with a safe car after paying this amount of money! It is my opinion mechanic was not up to the task!
