Dr***, First off I would like to acknowledge and apologize if you are not satisfied with your surveillance system that was installed back in September of This is the first major complaint that has been brought to our attention about itFrom what I understand, you contacted us on 7/12/
at 7:42am via email and informed us that one of your cameras was vandalized but still functional, albeit the color was offYou were asking if it were covered under warrantyWe responded to your email the same day at 7:57am apologizing that it was vandalizedWe also informed you that the warranty does not normally cover vandalism however in this case we would offer to replace it, under warranty, free of charge at our good will and costWe advertise some of our cameras as vandal resistant but never vandal proof, as nothing can be vandal proofThe camera in question was a vandal resistant camera, which is why it was still working, with some minor issues after the vandalismWe sent another email to you on 7/12/at 8:asking again you how you would like us to proceed with the warranty replacement of the damaged camera and when you would like to schedule serviceWe never received a response on when you would like it scheduledWe then sent another follow up email on 7/14/at 7:am and to this date have not received a response on when you would like to schedule warranty service for the cameraIt is also our understanding that you are having an issue with the brand of cameras that were usedThere was some discussion back in July of during the planning of *** branded cameras*** offers a year warranty on most of their productsInstead we opted to provide you with *** cameras*** is a distributor of OEM ***A Channel *** IP Camera NVR was listed on both quotes which were accepted and signed by Dr*** also offers a year warranty, which is far superior than the year offered by *** directlyAlthough *** was discussed back in July of 2016, no further discussion of *** was discussed during the multiple quotes and changes that were made to the quotes all the way until system installation months later in September Also no further discussion of *** was discussed from July until now, July Here is a summary of *** and *** and how they are one in the same*** is an authorized distributor of *** direct manufactured camerasHowever *** offers a year warranty on top of the year warranty offered by *** aloneThis allows us to offer our customers a longer warranty and piece of mindThe cameras we receive from *** are *** camerasThe only difference is the firmware that is loaded onto the camera for programming purposes by our staffWhen *** receives the cameras from the *** Chinese factory, *** loads their safer and more secure firmware onto the camerasBefore and during the time of installation, *** was under investigation of their cameras and components being easily hackable and containing malware that could leave your surveillance system network open for attackThe updated firmware of USA based *** significantly reduces the chances of hacking and malware on your camera networkWe were trying to look out in your best interest to give you the best and safest possible camera system with the best possible warrantyIf you were to take an identical model of *** camera and its identical counterpart *** camera, open them up, and deconstruct them, you would have the exact same physical components and partsThe image quality, resolution, are also the sameAgain the only difference is the firmware which is used for camera communication and programming by our techniciansYou also state in your complaint that we offer apples to apples price matching/beatWhile this policy of ours is true, at no time were we provided with a written itemized estimate from A-Security to do an apples to apples comparison and price matchingAt this time we feel that we have honored the written quotes in their full and true value of equipment and services providedThese quotes which were signed off on, by you, Dr***It is also noted that we provided extra services to you at the Aurora office at no additional charge with the installation of steel door strike platesWe did this out of good will during the time of installation of your surveillance system as we value local small businesses such as *** *** as we at Front Range CCTV are also a local small businessAlso at this time we will still honor the year warranty on the installed equipment and will also honor the warranty on the camera that was vandalized out of goodwill. To clarify, yes we can issue $1000.00 refund for both properties and will still honor the 3 year warranty. As soon as this response is accepted, we will issue and mail out 2 separate checks for $1000.00 each, totaling $2,000.00.
