[redacted] To Whom It May Concern,I am responding to [redacted] and [redacted] ***'s complaint against me and my company, Bluegrass [redacted] LLC. I was hired by [redacted] to install marble... ***s over her kitchen backsplash. I did not provide the material nor did I suggest where she might purchase the material. The material was in boxes sitting in her kitchen when we arrived to do the installation. My installer, Mr. [redacted] ***, has been installing all types of ceramic, porcelain and natural stone ***s for me the last ten years and he is highly qualified. He inspected the ***s for defects before he installed the marble ***s for Ms. ***. He also informed Ms. [redacted] after he was finished installing all the marble ***s that if there were any ***s on the wall that she was not happy with, to let him know and he would be happy to replace them for her.She selected approx. 10 ***s according to Mr. ***, which he removed for her and replaced with new ones. I arrived after the ***s had been grouted and Ms. [redacted] acted as though she was pleased with the result and paid me with a check. I believe that over the next few days, Ms. [redacted] had undercounter lights installed in her kitchen and began to notice very small imperfections in the marble. She brought this to my attention and I told her that was an issue between her and The [redacted] Shop, the business where she purchased the ***. The manager of The [redacted] Shop asked me if I would try to remedy the situation and that they would reimburse me for my time.Mr. and Ms. [redacted] scheduled a day for me and my crew to start the work and we began the process of removing the ***s she was not happy with. After the first day of work there, I left with intentions on returning the next day. However, once I returned with an employee, Mr. [redacted] ***, Mr. [redacted] asked me not to return, but that my employee was welcome to finish. I found this odd, but agreed, and that employee returned on a third day to try and finish. Then I was informed by Mr. ***, that he too, was asked to leave. In conclusion, I have never accepted blame for Mr. and Ms. ***s problem because I did not provide her the material. If she was that particular about the marble ***s, why didn't she have all the ***s she wasn't happy with removed and replaced when Mr. ***offered to and while the adhesive was wet. This would have been a much easier fix, but she didn't and appeared to be happy with the result. Also, I installed a similar backsplash several weeks later and noticed those very small chips again in the material. I told the client of my recent issue with Ms. [redacted] and she said, "those very small chips don't bother me in the least, it's natural stone."If Ms. [redacted] was that particular about the marble ***s, why didn't she inspect them in the first place? If you look at your records, you will see that I have had many clients rave about my company's work over the last 25 years. I have been sought by ***'s List to advertise, as I have had many clients contact them as well about my quality work. Finally,I have used all the money that Ms. [redacted] paid me to pay my employees to try and fix herproblem.I have no intention to refund additional money for a problem that I am not responsible for.Sincerely, [redacted] Sent from my iPhone
