To whom it may concern: On 5/22/I (Kevin [redacted] ) had the exciting opportunity to meet the customer in question Immediately upon meeting, the man explained that his younger son had ruined his previous phone via water damage and that he needed a new one that would work with [redacted] I acknowledged the unfortunate situation and proceeded to show him our compatible products He noted that due to his son's negligence, he won’t be spending more than $and that he is in a hurry Furthermore, the customer asked whether any information could be retrieved from the water damaged phone or if the sim card would still work My response was, "when it comes to water damage the entire phone is useless, therefore all information will be lost and a new sim card is necessary; some phones magically work in random spurts after water damage, however there is no guarantees and all warranties are always voided.” So I then clearly stated, "in order to use a new phone, you need a new sim card, these are provided to you free of charge by [redacted] due to you having their service." He responded, "Well let’s just hope the old one still works." At no time, was the size of the sim cards discussed during our initial interaction, mainly due to the fact he needed a new sim card from [redacted] anyway At no point did I (Kevin [redacted] ) guarantee that a water damaged item that I have never seen or tested myself, would work I reiterated these facts to the customer when he returned on 5/29/stating that I had lied I apologized for the very simple misunderstanding and even further clarified that the simple fix to his issue is a cost free trip to [redacted] to retrieve a working sim card He did not like this response and immediately clung to the idea that I had guaranteed a third party product that was admittedly water damaged to somehow work Disregarding the portion of information where I conveyed to him that a water damaged sim card would not work anyway and a FREE sim card was awaiting his arrival at the nearest [redacted] He continued to escalate, demanding a cash refund I would not comply with this because there was simply no issue with the item, therefore not granting a refund He then began cursing about how he is a disabled veteran and he deserves better treatment for those that he fought for Unfortunate enough for him and any other veteran seeking special treatment, I am a combat veteran as well I served my time, fought for this country and have now transferred my earnings to create a small business and live the true American Dream Instead he verbally attacked someone he thought to be a civilian (Civilian=those who we fight for), and figured he could get away with belittling me and utilizing his status for personal gain Mind you, this is Memorial Day weekend as well (for veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice, not those enjoying benefits) Soldier to soldier I told him that it is a disgrace to try and use our honorable status for special treatment and I asked him once more to leave Ignoring all of my requests the vulgarity continued and he was simply causing an issue for all of those around me I announced that I was calling the local police dispatch to request an officer due to his threatening manner He cursed loudly once more and left the scene once he acknowledged my request for a police presence You can contact me back at this email, my personal line ###-###-#### or business line ###-###-#### Thanks for your time.Kevin [redacted]

My son did drop his phone in the water and he said that there was a 50% change the sim card would workHe never said it would not workThe Sim card worked because I had to go some place else to get a phone that my son's sim card would fit inAnd yes the new phone cost way more than the $dollors and the sim card fit the phone that I got at another business and the sim card was goodAnd I was not in no hurryHe never guaranteed that the sim card would not work because of water damagedBut he did guaranteed the sim card would fit the phone which it did not fitThat is what this is all aboutI am a man of my word him telling me he was also in the military I took him at his word thinking there was military honor guess not on his endI hope he does well in his businessBut sticking to your word means everything he really needs to learn thisThe only reason im doing this is not about the low sum of moneyIts is because he went back on his word saying the sim card would FIT the phone

To whom it may concern: On 5/22/16 I (Kevin [redacted]) had the exciting opportunity to meet the customer in question.  Immediately upon meeting, the man explained that his younger son had ruined his previous phone via water damage and that he needed a new one that would work with [redacted]....

I acknowledged the unfortunate situation and proceeded to show him our compatible products.  He noted that due to his son's negligence, he won’t be spending more than $100 and that he is in a hurry.  Furthermore, the customer asked whether any information could be retrieved from the water damaged phone or if the sim card would still work.  My response was, "when it comes to water damage the entire phone is useless, therefore all information will be lost and a new sim card is necessary; some phones magically work in random spurts after water damage, however there is no guarantees and all warranties are always voided.”  So I then clearly stated, "in order to use a new phone, you need a new sim card, these are provided to you free of charge by [redacted] due to you having their service."  He responded, "Well let’s just hope the old one still works."  At no time, was the size of the sim cards discussed during our initial interaction, mainly due to the fact he needed a new sim card from [redacted] anyway.  At no point did I (Kevin [redacted]) guarantee that a water damaged item that I have never seen or tested myself, would work.  I reiterated these facts to the customer when he returned on 5/29/16 stating that I had lied.  I apologized for the very simple misunderstanding and even further clarified that the simple fix to his issue is a cost free trip to [redacted] to retrieve a working sim card.  He did not like this response and immediately clung to the idea that I had guaranteed a third party product that was admittedly water damaged to somehow work.  Disregarding the portion of information where I conveyed to him that a water damaged sim card would not work anyway and a FREE sim card was awaiting his arrival at the nearest [redacted].  He continued to escalate, demanding a cash refund.  I would not comply with this because there was simply no issue with the item, therefore not granting a refund.  He then began cursing about how he is a disabled veteran and he deserves better treatment for those that he fought for.  Unfortunate enough for him and any other veteran seeking special treatment, I am a combat veteran as well.  I served my time, fought for this country and have now transferred my earnings to create a small business and live the true American Dream.  Instead he verbally attacked someone he thought to be a civilian (Civilian=those who we fight for), and figured he could get away with belittling me and utilizing his status for personal gain.  Mind you, this is Memorial Day weekend as well (for veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice, not those enjoying benefits).  Soldier to soldier I told him that it is a disgrace to try and use our honorable status for special treatment and I asked him once more to leave.  Ignoring all of my requests the vulgarity continued and he was simply causing an issue for all of those around me.  I announced that I was calling the local police dispatch to request an officer due to his threatening manner.  He cursed loudly once more and left the scene once he acknowledged my request for a police presence.  You can contact me back at this email, my personal line ###-###-#### or business line ###-###-####.  Thanks for your time.Kevin [redacted]

My son did drop his phone in the water and he said that there was a 50% change the sim card would work. He never said it would not work. The Sim card worked because I had to go some place else to get a phone that my son's sim card would fit in. And yes the new phone cost way more than the $100.00 dollors and the sim card fit the phone that I got at another business and the sim card was good. And I was not in no hurry. He never guaranteed that the sim card would not work because of water damaged. But he did guaranteed the sim card would fit the phone which it did not fit. That is what this is all about. I am a man of my word him telling me he was also in the military I took him at his word thinking there was military honor guess not on his end. I hope he does well in his business. But sticking to your word means everything he really needs to learn this. The only reason im doing this is not about the low sum of money. Its is because he went back on his word saying the sim card would FIT the phone.
