Had a low entry shower installed and specifically ordered the "with non-skid surface" and the floor of the shower is like greased ice.

Have tried contacting the customer service to correct the problem but they keep giving the run around and never "get back to me" as they state they will when they brush me off the call.

Being an elderly person with mobility issues from a stroke ... leaving the entire right side of my body unusable, it is difficult to safely get in and out of the shower they installed when my only good leg is sliding around on their so called non-skid surface.

Desired Outcome

The Company needs to come install something resembling a non skid surface on this shower as stated in the contract from the purchase or offer a partial refund so I can have someone else correct their failed service.

I want the shower floor so it is not so slick. I got in it the other day and almost fell. I would not be able to get into it by myself. I would like to have this fixed. I can't hold on to anything with my right hand and this makes it very difficult

Telemarketing calls to my year old father that is on the no call list This people have prayed on my year old father for the last months Twice he sat an appointment up with them and then he was not at home He has dementia and I have his durable power of attorney His home phone number has been on the National Call list for many years They called him again times on 5/26, so over the weekend I used his caller ID to retrieve the numbers, every number was different and there was only one voice mail set up and it was a gruff voice saying sorry I missed you call leave a message and I will call you back So I left a message and I was very nice about it and and the man with a gruff voice called me back I questioned him for quite some time to figure out that he was with this company I politely asked him to please stop calling him, for one he cannot afford one nor does he need one and please take him off your call list He assured me he would take care of it So tonigh

Inquiry for service to correct installation issues with product was rebuffed by 2x hangup.
Wall installation and question about faucet of walk-in tub to be addressed. Company did not deliver written guarantee we expected.

Desired Outcome

Fix wall installation and check faucet, if needed. Deliver written guarantee on product ,as indicated during in-home sales pitch, of tub and other product installation.

Sent company representative to repair issues customer complaining about. We received a letter from customer that issues are now resolved. We are sending out warranty for tub today per their request.

I was mislead on what was being installed from "commercial grade, custom in-house built walk in shower exclusively made by Blue Star.
*** met with me in my home on 6-7-19 to give an estimate for a walk in shower tub. My daughter was present at the time when he gave this sales pitch.

We were told that Blue Star Safety Tubs and Showers manufactures all of their own equipment in Des Moines, the tub handles and seats except for the plumbing and Delta products for showerhead and faucet.
Originally quoted $10,076 for installation but was given a discount to hopefully refer people in town to get additional business.

Today on 6-19 2 gentlemen came at 10am this morning to start the installation . They left at 11am stating they were going to Menards to get supplies in Iowa City

They also came with a shower that was purchased from Menards, Lyon's brand 6032 Linear base with LH Seat.

When I called to speak with *** today on the phone about the shower tub and what I thought I was getting, he stated that they were sent to a "wholesaler" of theirs and not Menards. that tub was still is Blue Star.
I reviewed online the price of the shower, which is far less than the $7,000.00 being charged for the tub.

I stated the even on the invoice it shows "Blue Star Shower"

When I told him about how deceptive this was, he just said, "How much will it take for you to drop this?"

After stating $3,000.00 he complained that was cutting into his profit and was not fair.

I disagree with that statement as it was unfair to have that high of a markup on top of I could have purchased this tub at Menards myself and had it installed far cheaper.

The 2 workers that came today, one named Adam were the most honest folks about everything. Adam was yelled at by *** on the phone while I was standing nearby in the home about Adam informing me it was from Menards and "he has it wrong"

Adam continued to tell the truth to me, which I applaud for having integrity unlike Michael.

Desired Outcome

Only paying a flat fee as agreed on the phone today for $6,000.00 with Michael. No more, no Less

Work was not finished for the tub (Safety handles were not installed this was a $1700 line item.)

Also was billed for shower seat in this $1700 line item, which was a built in feature of the shower.

I do not want anything to do with this company further.

We had mistakenly called her twice. We apologize. She is now off our list.

They bid a job and then refused to do the job for the amount of the bid. They left the site and took my only key to the building.
DC Associates called me and asked if I had any remodeling I wanted done; I said I did and so they sent and estimator who wrote up a contract which I signed as did he for $9700.00. When the workman showed up he claimed they had underbid the job. I said I wouldn't pay more. He left taking the only key to the building with him saying he had to call the office and would get back to me. No one got back to me and I waited all day; The next day I called him and he said the office told him they were not going to do the job (no one had told me) and he was but a subcontractor. He denied taking the key.
So the result was I had wasted a couple of days, and no longer had a key to the building. I had to call a locksmith from Council Bluffs to come out and install a new lock.
I do not feel I am responsible for their inept estimator; I feel they should stand by their estimate, and at the very least should replace my lock.

Desired Outcome

If they won't honor their contract, I think they should at least pay the locksmith for a new lock.

Our installer did not take the key and would have absolutely no reason to want it, since he did not do any work to the property. When he arrived he saw some red flags in doing the work so didn't even start it and returned back to our office. However, when he arrived, she left and told him to leave the door open and unlocked as it was a safe town. We did reimburse Mrs. for the locksmith costs of $240 just to settle the issue.
