Very bad business just want money try to keep your deposit. Say one deposit at first then u get approve then the day before u move in ask for another deposit.....","neg-2

They are only after your money. I cleaned up a place I moved from and it was in good moving in condition. They lied and said I left the carpet nasty and doors was missing and trying to charge me for damages. This man made up a story to keep me from getting my deposit back. Do not rent from them they are bogus. But what he don't know is I took pictures of everything and recorded all phone calls I have made to him. Bad business company do not deal with them at all.","neg-1

I moved out of a property on July 28 and it was then own by Marathon Management. So I cleaned up the place pretty good so that I can receive my $600 deposit back. After weeks had passed after moving I called marathon about my deposit and I found out that they had sold the property to Bluff City Management. They didn't even contact me to let me know of these changes. So I was told that Bluff City Management were holding my deposit until they perform the inspection. I have been calling and calling and Mr. Daniel S[redacted] told me that I had to wait until the paper work was complete. Ok I have been very patient. I called a couple of weeks ago and Mr. Daniel told me that they did the inspection and the carpet looked bad and said that there was oil and lotion in the carpet. As I recall that is normal wear and tear and I really never have wasted oil or lotion in the carpet. How will he know if its oil or lotion if he haven't got down there and taste it? He is finding anything to not refund me my $600 deposit. It has been 2 months now so I should have been received something by now. I really need my money, I am a single mom of four girls and I do not deserve this type of treatment. I owe him or marathon management nothing. I just want him to refund me my deposit but instead he keeps brushing me off. I'm tired of waiting. He already have a for rent sign in the yard so that lets me know he is done with everything he needed to do. P.S. The damages that I was honest about was the little hole in the wall downstairs and the toilet upstairs so there were no other damages. And that's the honest to god truth.Desired Settlement I just want Bluff City Management to contact me and to Send me my check In the mail please. Business Response We have spoken with Ms [redacted] several times and have called her several times to discuss the findings from her moveout. I spoke to her about the condition of the unit upon her moveout, the repairs far outweigh her deposit. Repairs to the entire unit after her moveout topped $2500 (not all of which is being charged to her) however, the carpets were not cleaned, the lower portion was exceptionally bad, the unit itself had not been cleaned, hole in the wall, one toilet had to be replaced completely, there was an interior door missing, repairs were made to the cabinets, all walls and trim had to be painted, and the entire HVAC system had to be dismantled/cleaned and reinstalled due to the tenant not keeping a filter in the HVAC sytem for quite some time, none of these items are considered normal wear and tear. At the current time we will not issue a refund and dispute this complaint altogether as fraudulent. We also did not begin management of this property until the middle of August.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Everything that he is stating is a lie. I only spoken to him twice and the first call he discussed how the paperwork wasn't completed yet. The second time was him telling me that they were done and he notice that lotion and oil was in the carpet and upstairs looked good. There was no door missing at all in the house. If he is talking about the laundry room there was no door there when I moved in. I have pictures to prove he is lying. I also have phone records showing that he only contacted me 1 time. So I will be persueing this matter further. I owe him nothing. As far as the paint and carpet that is normal wear and tear because I was renting I do not own the property. I have pictures of the property to prove and backup my story.
