of $1140.00 – the maximum of $1680.00 at which time he verbally told me to go ahead and to call 1-2 days before being on site.   We were did send him a written contract on May 15th as well, of which we did not get a signed contract back.   We were also doing some work for a neighbor lady of his, named [redacted] who has property across the street from Mr. [redacted].   Since he gave us a verbal go ahead and we were working for his neighbor as well, I had the crew find or set his four corners as well.  Our final bill to Mr. [redacted] was for a total of $945.00, which was well below the initial range quoted.   This was possible as we could combine the two properties and show them on one map to record with the County Auditor’s office, which we did.  The map was filed June 7th in Volume 36, Page 120.        I thought Mr. [redacted] would be more than pleased as we saved him a fair amount of money, by combining the map etc.    He originally wanted to build a fence and wanted the corners and lines marked so he could do so.We did our part, and although we did not get a signed contract back, did the work.   My error in this, was not having a signed contract.  I am a hand shake kind of person and should be a bit more formal in business dealings.    Mr. [redacted] did send us a letter dated July 27, 2017 of which my bookkeeper spoke to me about and I thought things were covered.  I left Mr. [redacted] a detailed voice mail on August 1, 2017 and have not heard anything back from him.  This complaint takes me a bit by surprise, as he did not call me back etc.I did call and talk to him while writing this letter to you and think things are good.   He paid the $945.00, as we took off finance charge.   Our communication was not what it should be, but he understood, we moved it up on list as we were working on his neighbors as well and appreciated that we did save him some money on the survey.   I did not ask him if he was rescinding his complaint, but assume he is or will.   If by chance I am thinking incorrectly, please let me know.   We have never had a complaint like this, and I take it very personal.If you need anything further from me, please let me know.Thank you,Kevin B[redacted]
