manufacture each dress on an as-ordered basis. We, Blush Bridal Couture, are in contract with each of our designers. The contract we have with our designers clearly states we are unable to cancel an order after it has been placed. This is a custom order being made specifically for each bride, and once a dress goes into production there is no recourse on our end. For this reason, we have an iron-clad contract between our store and each of our brides that clearly states; “Customer choosing to pay by credit card agrees not to reverse charges for any reason. Deposits will not will not be returned in the event of a [wedding] cancellation”“All sales are final. All merchandise is non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and not available for store credit or subject to change or cancellation.” These are exact quotes from the contract that Ms. [redacted] initialed and signed at the time her deposit was paid. As expected, this is by no means the first time we have had a bride cancel/reschedule her wedding due to unforeseen circumstances. Is it for this unfortunate reason that we must protect ourselves and why we have made our contract 100% clear in terms of this exact scenario.On 1/24/17 I did, as a favor to Ms. [redacted], reach out the designer after her initial email to see if there was any possible way the designer could make an exception for us. Our rep informed us the dress was well into production and there was absolutely nothing that could be done. Ms. [redacted]’s dress is estimated to ship to our store around 4/27/17. Per her contract, at that time, she will be responsible for paying the remaining balance for her dress and arranging for it’s pick up.
