Review: I received a gift voucher for Christmas and booked an appointment at blush to use it. I was told pricing for gel extensions started at $75 and up depending on the length. Before starting, I told my manicurist I would like the length for the $75. My nails were one solid color and had the Air Force logo on one nail of each hand. My 11 year old daughter also received a regular $13.00 manicure. When I went to pay she looked at my nails and charged me $95 for my extensions an unknown price for the design as well as an unknown price for my daughters nails totaling $150.00 plus another $22.00 in tax. When I questioned the price I was told the nails were long so the price is higher. When I asked for a receipt she said they don't give them. Later when I emailed the company (gift bar) that the gift certificate came from I was told I shouldn't have been charged tax separately, the only thing not covered is gratuity for the manicurist. Also, 5 days later 2 nails had completely come off and the polish was chipping on 1 nail. Although they do offer free repair within 10 days, you must come in the same day you call, which was impossible because I work until 5. The manicurist was very pleasant and the place was very cute and clean, but their is a bit of price gouging going on,So be aware.Desired Settlement: Seeing as though I wasn't really informed of any prices regarding the design as well as specifically stating what I wanted and apparently being given something else, I would like the difference in the nails price I was suppose to receive and the price I actually received which is $20.00 as well as the cash tax paid that should have been included in the gift certificate. Totaling a refund of $44.00.

Response:
Below
is the receipt for the services provided to [redacted] and her daughter.
She has received promotional giftcard on Talk Show from Company Giftbar that
was given to her free of charge (gift), that can not be redeemed for cash
value. Please verify it with Giftbar representative [redacted] at
[redacted] She also has
tried to contact [redacted], but have not heard back from her. Before coming to
the salon she called multiple times and have inquired about the prices. She has
received long Gel Extensions that are higher in price $95 and have asked nail
technitian to draw a logo design from the picture and was quoted price of $ 8
per nail. It took him 30 min to implement just the logo. She has made
appointment for her daughter and her friend specifically asking for the Blush
Warm Cream Manicure Price $27, but her friend never came for the service. Also,
after completing her nail services she asked for the eyebrow wax.
She never contacted Salon for the issue of broken nail, otherwise we would have
told her to come in for replacement withing couple of days.
She has paid tax 6.75 out of her pocket, since Giftbar card does not cover the
tax.
A refund is not valid in this case, since Salon has not received a payment for
the services provided to [redacted] from the promotional free gift card.
Thank you,
Blush Nail Lounge
