[redacted] was offered a lesser sum to pay for storage but once he became unruly that offer was withdrawn. [redacted] real name [redacted] has since been banned from referring customers to the shop due to several complaints through him. Any claim by [redacted] stating that "[redacted]" received any cash payment for his referral is entirely false. Also BM Auto Collision is in no way, shape, or form affiliated with Impressive Auto. The company was bought from the previous [redacted]s in December 2011 and still to this day receive complaints about the previous company. [redacted] also was shown the $100 per day consensual rate for storage sign on our wall. On the paperwork he signed, it states that $60 per day will be charged if the vehicle is not picked up within 48 hours of agreed scheduled date and time (which applies to finished vehicles after repairs have been made) Any complaint by [redacted] is without merit. Also, the brackets to his front bumper were broken, causing the bumper to not clip in correctly and drag along the floor. A shop employee taped [redacted]'s bumper on to his vehicle

Response:
My bumper was not dragging along the floor nor was it removed. I drove my car to the shop with bumper on and it was not touching the floor. The car’s left fender and bumper were to be repaired for cosmetic work. The clips were damaged but the vehicle was drivable. They drove the car out of the garage the same way it came in, untouched. Again, I did not even bother to take the lesser amount because they did not inform me of any the charges. The day that I brought my car I insisted in taking my car back, but they pushed me into leaving it there.  They paid a man to bring in my vehicle, who also ruined my insurance claim. I do not feel I should pay a company that scammed me out of my insurance claim.   I felt if they had let me take my car out that day I wouldn’t be in this position. Also I did not receive my contract till I was able get my car out of the lot. The Auto Shop is aware of [redacted]’s real name, his “referrals,” and him being banned from the shop is self-explanatory. I staid by my statements in “[redacted]” or “[redacted]” received payments for his “referrals.”  I was not unruly, I called the police because they held my car purposely, I was left to call the police in order to get the problem solve since I was not getting any answer from anyone. I was threaten by the [redacted] who said “I’ll throw you out myself,” therefore I called the police.    The contract that I received says $60 per day with no date for charges and the $100 per day were never brought up.  I lost valuable time in school, lost a full day of work and was late multiple times to work in order to fixed a problem that they created.  The company is unreliable; they mistreated and took advantage me.

What this bodyshop does and did to me is the following. When you first meet them they seem very nice and respectful. As soon as they had my car, it was game over! They continuously said that my car would be ready the next day, however in the 5 months the car remained there, for a simple bumper replacement. The car was not fixed, only DESTROYED! They destroyed my car inside and out and charge my insurance $32,000 for damages that they did! At the end of it , they did not even repair the damages they have done to the car. The DMV was unable to reimburse me for any damages caused by the bodyshop, only for what I can prove was not repaired. The problem is that I brought my car in without any of the damages that they got away with charging my insurance for, and that those damages are now on my car! Mechanically alone they destroyed my car , $12,000 worth of Damages. I have estimates by many shops after I had taken out my car after 5 months of it being stowed away somewhere they would not tell me.

[redacted] had his vehicle towed in to our shop and filed a claim through [redacted], after hearing the amount to be paid from the insurance company he tried to profit off of his accident, we have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to getting...

extorted for money by customers. After hearing he will not be able to profit off his vehicle claim, [redacted] verbally cancelled the authorization to repair he signed and wanted to pull his vehicle out of the shop, but repairs had already started. He was told he would have to pay a restocking fee for parts and labor already towards vehicle repair. All charges for this vehicle are correct.

Review: My insurance paid in total the amount of $5,592.83 U.S. Dollars to BM Auto Collision Inc. Repair was done very poorly. Front bumper is not lining up with the front hood. Used defected Bumper in which is has a crack on the right bottom side. Front hood does not close or open properly. Headlights are both defected. Glued them together and were installed back on the car. Both headlights are fogging on the inside. Front Bumper impact foam was never replaced. Saw one side of the foam missing. Left fender was never damaged prior to bringing it to Bm body shop. Fender was also glued back together. Front Hood has a missing strap in which they had to install, since they did the replacement of the front hood. Inside the front grill I discovered parts of the bumper cracked and damaged inside. Splash shield which is located under the cars motor, and other mechanical compartments was never replaced. Has the same crack which occurred during the accident. Bottom fog lights are both dirty on the inside with paint spray. Also right fog light is completely lose. Screws missing from an area inside the hood. Splash guards that are located inside the right and left wheel are both missing. Rear right wheel resulted with a flat as I arrived home. Try to resolve problem by going in several times and being very kind. Spoke to [redacted], left car 1 day came the next to find the car in same conditions. Spoke to [redacted] and he advised me to come another day to speak with [redacted]. Went back to speak to [redacted] in which resulted to him saying he will not replace the defected parts in which my insurance payed for. I have evidence in hand with pictures and insurance estimates.Desired Settlement: Want a refund for all the charges made. I will not let them touch my car any longer. I would need to bring it to another body shop and pay full price to replace all damaged parts and for labor hours. Will not settle for anything less then $5,592.83 U.S. Dollars.

Review: On the afternoon of June **, 2014, at approximately 5:40 PM I was involved in a traffic accident. I was proceeding south on [redacted] in the right lane, when suddenly a woman, who was attempting to move from the left lane into the right lane (my lane) in order to make a right turn on [redacted], swerved into my lane and thus a collision ensued. I tried to brake but I could not avoid her as she struck my vehicle on the left front of my car. I assumed a standard exchange of insurance information would suffice in dealing with the details of the accident and damage to my vehicle, because it seemed clearly her fault. She argued instead, that she was not at fault and this escalated into a mutual agreement that the police should be called to mediate the situation. The police arrived and an accident report was taken as the police took statements from both of us. That accident report was filed and is enclosed with this letter. Some moments later, a gentlemen walked up to me and my girlfriend who had been in the car with me and told me he had witnessed the accident and had clearly seen what had happened and agreed it was the other driver that was at fault. He introduced himself as [redacted]. He asked me if I had ever been in an accident, and then offered his assistance to help me through the claim process when you are expecting a collision liability settlement and what needed to be done. He told me that after what he saw, he was surprised the police had to be involved. In hindsight, I should not have been so trusting. After brief introductions with myself and my girlfriend, he asked me if I had ever been in an accident? I told him yes, but never in a situation such as this, because in Boston where I had lived for many years, I had full coverage and never had any problems with a claim. He proceeded to explain to me the process when one is expecting collision liability, and what needed to be done going forward. He told me he would be my witness and would offer his eyewitness account to the insurance company, and he would walk me through the process. He continued by saying that he knew an [redacted] of a body shop that could help with the repairs. He got in his car, and told me to follow him. In good faith, I followed him to the shop in my damaged vehicle. When we finally arrived at the shop (BM Auto Collision) it was closed. There were two people there: [redacted] (the [redacted]) and his wife ([redacted] told them my story, which I corroborated, and they agreed to help. They gave me a few papers to sign, and insisted that these were necessary in order to allow the collision shop to dismantle and repair my car once a claim was made. I signed the papers and started to walk away and drive back home. They told me that I must leave the car, because of the extensive damage to the bumper, that it was dangerous and it might fall off or I might be ticketed for this and shouldnt risk it. I, in good faith heeded their advice and left the car.[redacted] dropped us off at my house and told me that the next step was to wait for the accident report. I heeded his advice, and two weeks later on July *, 2014, I received the police report and made the claim. Approximately five days later, they called [redacted] for his statement. On July **, 2014, I received notice from the other drivers Insurance Company that my claim was denied. The reason for the denial stated that the witness ([redacted] gave a statement that does not coincide with my own. I contacted [redacted] immediately and explained to him that I was denied the claim based on his statements. Without any clear or reasonable explanation of what he actually said or didnt say, he was very apologetic and told me to call the shop to see how to proceed. I contacted the body shop, and told them that I needed to get this claim settled before starting any repairs. The [redacted] of the shop in turn told me well, I can fix the car now and you will get everything reimbursed once the claim is fixed. I informed him that I didnt have the money to do this, and that I just wanted my car back. I went to the shop and they told me that they would release the car, but I would have to pay a storage fee. I was never informed about any kind of storage fee. They went on to explain that they had given me papers to sign on the day of the accident which supposedly included a storage fee. The fee they were asking for was $1,440.00.I now realize, that I was misled by [redacted] and that he was not a witness to the accident as he had previously claimed. I spoke again to the [redacted] of the body shop and he proceeded to tell me that I wouldnt be in this situation if my [redacted] didnt lie about witnessing the accident. He then informed me that this was between me and [redacted] and he proceed to say that [redacted] already got his 500 dollars from him for bringing me to the shop. It was at that moment I realized that [redacted] must be working for him. I posed that question to [redacted] (the [redacted] of the shop) and he said no, he doesnt work for us, its what he does. I then informed the [redacted] (Neil) that I refused to pay a storage fee based due to the fact that I was directed to his shop by [redacted] based on a previous mutual agreement. I was subsequently informed that I would not get my car unless I paid the storage fee. Believing I had no other recourse, I agreed to pay the fee in order to get my car back. I was then informed that the parking lot was soon to close and that I would not be able to retrieve my car until Monday, July [redacted]. When I arrived on Monday I was informed that the original charge of $1,440.00 had increased to $1,763.61.After much thought, I returned to the body shop on Tuesday, July [redacted] 2014, to retrieve my vehicle. I was informed it would be about 20 minutes. After an hour had passed, I asked again for my car to be returned to me. I received no answer from anyone and indeed my car was not returned. I informed the shop, that if I did notDesired Settlement: I would not have been in this situation if they had let me take my car out. They purposely held my car in the shop and double the price each day. My car was drivable and they said they towed it in and out the garage for $160.00. They said they dismantle the vehicle and assembled it. They were not suppose to dismantle the car because the claim was not made for $500. There are multiple issues with this shop that is very disappointing when conducting business.

Response:

On 6/**/14 [redacted] brought in his Honda Civic to file a 3rd party claim. He was referred to the shop by "[redacted]", his witness to the accident, who is neither employed nor affiliated with BM Auto Collision. "[redacted]" did not receive any payment from us for bringing the customer to the shop, all he wanted was his front bumper painted. A claim was generated and [redacted] was advised that he should leave his vehicle because his front bumper was no longer on the vehicle. [redacted] signed paperwork giving the authorization to dismantle the car and repair the car once liability has been accepted. Also, printed on the paperwork are the storage fees per day, and posted on a sign inside the shop. After collecting statements from [redacted] and [redacted], the insurance company decided that his claim against their insured would be denied. Once the claim was denied [redacted] was told we would be willing to work with him on the cost of repairs since it would be coming out of his pocket. [redacted] then told us that he wanted his vehicle back and did not want his vehicle to be repaired here. We then tried to work with [redacted] on the storage fees and told him we would be willing to knock off half of the bill. When an employee went to retrieve his vehicle from the parking lot where vehicles are kept, [redacted] became unruly and threatened physical violence with the shop manager because it took longer than 15 minutes to get his vehicle from storage. Once [redacted] caused a scene and called the police he was told we were no longer willing to work with him on the storage bill and that he would have to pay the full amount. [redacted] signed paperwork giving us the authorization to dismantle his car then assemble it. Also he was charged two separate pull out fees because his vehicle was put back inside storage after he called the police and came back the following day to pay the full amount, which is 2 separate times the vehicle was pulled out.

Review: [redacted] took in an Audi A4 2009 in for some cosmetic repairs (scratches on the front and back of the car and a scratches on the windshield) on Tuesday, July *, 2014. BM Auto Collision had the car from July *, 2014 until Wednesday, July [redacted] 2014.

During this time, they never fixed/repaired the car. BM Auto Collision signed a document stating they did not in fact make any repairs to the car. [redacted] call BM Auto Collision on July *, 2014 to follow up with the status of the car repairs. He was then advised that the car would not be appraised by [redacted] until July **, 2014. BM Auto Collision called [redacted] on July [redacted] advising him that [redacted] came on that day to appraise the car. The amount was never made clear.

On July [redacted] at approximately 3:15 pm BM auto body shop called [redacted] to advise him that the car was ready for pickup and to bring the check [redacted] would be issuing.

[redacted] advised BM Auto Collision shop that July [redacted] was day of [redacted]’s wedding and that he could not pick up the car until he returned from his honeymoon on Monday, July [redacted]. BM Auto Collision said this was not a problem.

On July [redacted], a check was received in the amount of $10,800 from [redacted] was surprised by the large sum of the check.

On Monday, July [redacted] went to BM Auto Collision to pick up his car. When [redacted] arrived at the shop, BM Auto Collision shop advised him that his car was in fact not ready. An error was made in that it was not [redacted]’s car that was ready for pickup but someone else’s Audi. BM Auto Collision told [redacted] that they needed one more week to work on his car.

On Tuesday, July [redacted] went to BM Auto Collision and requested to see his car. [redacted] saw the car and noticed damages on the car that were not originally there when he brought the car in for repairs on July [redacted]. The hood of the car was damaged in that it had a dent, the front and back head lights were completely removed from the car, and the AC wires under the hood had been cut. It is believed by [redacted] that further damages were intentionally made on the car in order to obtain a higher appraisal from [redacted] and thus a larger payment.

[redacted] requested that BM Auto Collision shop return his car as they had not begun any of the original repairs and in fact further damaged the car from its original state when the car was brought to BM auto body shop on July [redacted].

BM Auto Collision refused to return [redacted]’s car until he paid $6614.59 in cash. This amount is comprised of various fees including $3100 of storage fees and $1875 restocking fee. [redacted] called the police. The police officer arrived however [redacted] was advised by the police officer that this was a civil suit matter.

[redacted] paid the $6,614.59 in cash in order to retrieve the car the next day on Wednesday, July [redacted]. The car was returned to [redacted] with the headlights in the trunk, a dent in the hood of the car and with all of the original damages still remaining.

[redacted] spoke to the manager at BM Auto Collision and requested that the head lights be put back in the car as it is illegal to drive without head lights however, this request was denied.Desired Settlement: I believe the charges by BM Auto collision Inc. (aka [redacted]) were not valid and they further damaged the car. I incurred further damage from BM Auto collision on top of the original cosmetic repairs originally requested for which I have to pay to be repaired at different body shop. I also have to pay for the costs of a car rental.

I would be satisfied with a full refund in the amount I was charged in order to retrieve my unfixed car, $6614.59 cash.

Thank you for your assistance with this matter.

[redacted] brought in his brothers 2009 Audi a4 to file a claim after it had been hit while parked. An insurance claim was filed through [redacted] by [redacted] on 7/*/14 and an appraisal date was set by the insurance company on 7/**/14. On the appraisal date he was notified his vehicle was looked at and parts were to be ordered as soon as we received an estimate from [redacted], which is why he was not told an amount on that day. All damages to his vehicle were there on 7/*/14 when the vehicle came in. Also there is no such thing as AC wires, only AC lines which are made of metal so it is impossible for them to be cut. [redacted] determined the extent of the damages to the vehicle would cost $10,800 plus his $1000 deductible. After hearing the amount to be paid for his brothers vehicle [redacted] came to the shop and demanded his deductible be waived and he should receive $1500, because his broker called and said his premium payment will go up based on the amount of damage to the vehicle which is not our fault. After trying to contact the broker and [redacted]'s brother [redacted] about this issue there was no validation to [redacted]'s claim. [redacted] then advised us he did not want his vehicle to be repaired, but repairs had already started at this point. We have a zero tolerance policy on getting extorted by customers based off the value of any insurance appraisal. His vehicle was returned to him dismantled because he refused to pay the assembly labor.

Review: My vehicle went in for a bumper and fender repair and after a few disagreements with the shop I advised them that I wont bother any more and I will go else where to repair the car, now they charging me $5445.90 for no work done and a car given back to me all dismantled.Desired Settlement: to be charged only for the labor of dismantling the car instead of, to not be charge this extraordinary amount
