No available slots during the week, it was suggested by the Scheduling Department at Family Physicians Group, BMG that I visit the [redacted] office for treatment.En-route my husband and I called at 11:05 to confirm the office was open until 12 pm on Saturday, February 14, 2015. We arrived at the [redacted] branch at 11:25 when the receptionist told us the Doctors were no longer accepting patients, but would check if we wanted. We sat down where there was one person with a child when my name was called. Assuming I was going to see the doctor, I asked if my husband could come with me. Just inside where they take weight, pressure, and temperature, we were told that the doctors were not accepting patients. My husband asked why? Couldn't they take one more person? She is sick and needs medical attention. There was one other person in the lobby. Couldnt you/ they make an exception? She repeated herself but my husband insisted that we speak to someone in authority.Dr. [redacted] stated from behind the counter They are no longer seeing patients and that they were referring customers to the Baptist Minor Emergency where they may see you there. My husband again asked why and couldnt they make an exception to see one more person yet the doctor said no. "WE CAN NOT AND WILL NOT SEE ANY MORE PATIENTS." He became very abrupt, rude and agitated when my husband asked for an explanation. It was well within the 12 pm closing and there was only one additional person in the waiting room. Dr. [redacted] in the end yelled at us to GET OUT, GET OUT OF MY OFFICE three to four times when my husband asked for and explanation and his name because he was refusing medical care. There were no signs anywhere in the lobby indicating a cut-off for appointments or walk-ins and no explanation was given by any of the staff at the [redacted] location.I have been a customer with the Family Physicians Group for over 15 years and this is the first time I have ever experienced anything like this.Desired SettlementI received a certified letter from the Family Physicians Group, BMG on February 18, 2015, dropping me as a patient requesting that I no longer use their name from Dr. [redacted] (whom I've seen maybe once or twice at[redacted]).I would appreciate if someone could have communicated with me how you could refuse medical treatment within the normal operating hours and how the staff is willing to loose a loyal customer of 15 plus years without investigationBusiness Response It is Family Physicians Group Foundation's intent to care for patients with integrity,earning trust by our dedication to our communicaties' healthcare. Our office is open on Saturday mornings to see patients with scheduled appointments because we understand the hectic lifestyles of today.We may see a walk-in patient during appointment times but that is solely up to the discretion of the provider. It is our goal to ensure that all persons receive the health care they need. However, we may not always be available. At those time we refer our patients to the BMG Minor Medical Centers for top notch care!BMG has offices that serve walk ins as well. For the convenience of the residents of this great city. Our providers and staff that seemed inattentive have been spoken to.We have had to assure our staff and patients that we are safe. We do not allow violence of any sort in our offices. We are here to practice the best medicine within our reach. We are sorry and hope we can make amends.

on 8/22/2015 I paid my bill of 108.57 via my [redacted] credit card. Then soon after I got an adjusted statement for 29.71 dated 8/18 based on the final payment by my insurance company. I overpaid by 78.86. I have called this company at least twice regarding my refund and I am told it is processing. Well it is Jan now and I should have had it by October. We are attaching our supporting documentation. [redacted] Billing Manager, XXX-XXX-XXXX.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I checked my card transactions and found the refund. This needed to be communicated to me when I called as I was expecting a check. As stated in my complaint this business needs to revisit its billing processes for improvement.
