I reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find the resolution is satisfactory to meWe were never told what BMI planned to do with OUR moneyHad they told us or asked us we would of told them to give us our money back instead of applying it to our principal of our mortgageFrom the first day that we talked to PNC bank all the way until the day of closing they were telling us that BMI would send us a check after days from closingBMI has told us that in the future they will try to improve communication between the bank and it's members in this regard

request while maintaining the security of their information. That includes the
need to authenticate the person making the request is authorized to do so. That
is most likely why you were instructed to update your address within our...

online banking environment. However, we were unaware that the online address
change functionality could not accommodate an APO. We apologize that you
experienced such difficulties while attempting to do so.  We will look
further into the matter and appreciate your bringing it to our attention. 
We will also clear up any misunderstandings regarding APO’s. As a result of
this confusion, the matter still at hand is the debit card transaction that you
wish to dispute. We can accept a dispute on a specific debit card transaction
without blocking your debit card. We have initiated the dispute process on the
item you have referenced. If you feel that your debit card was compromised and
would like it replaced, we have other options available to assure that the new
card gets mailed to you at the appropriate APO address.  In order to
initiate the change of address, you can log into online banking and request
that we update our database with your new address through “Messages” and bypass
the Address Change option within “Preferences”.  You can also submit any
future disputes through this same “Messages” process. Although it is
always discouraging to receive a complaint, we welcome the opportunity to
examine our current practices in an effort to assure the high levels of member
service. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and confusion this has

Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] applied with another lender to refinance the first mortgage they had with BMI Federal Credit Union. BMI Federal Credit Union supplied a payoff statement to the other lender showing that we subtracted the escrow balance of $781.42 from the payoff. This would have been disclosed...

to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] as part of their closing with the new lender. Net escrow payoffs are standard practice for BMI Federal Credit Union and allowable per Section 1024.34(b)(1) of Regulation Z. As a result of this, there are no funds due to the [redacted]s.  I contacted Mr. [redacted] and explained this. As a courtesy accommodation, BMI FCU has offered the [redacted]s an interest-free loan for 12 months for $781.42. They have accepted this and we are in the process of completing this loan.I am responding to this complaint instead of Rob B[redacted], as he is out of the office.
