Customer declined work necessary to repair the vehicle and bring the vehicle to MINI service standardsWe cannot reset the service lights per MINI USA to have all service requirements metThe car is in need of the maintenance and service work declined

BMW's owner's manual states that repairing a run flat tire is not to be performed. Since we are a franchise Dealer, we cannot repair the tire. Due to the safety specifications that are built into the tire, the tire should not be repaired. Most reliable tire facilities will also not repair the tires...

due to liability. The attached article from a third party tire company will also be an example. We provided the best service possible based on BMW's requirements and safety for the customer.

In review of the file. The car was brought in for diagnostics and price on replacing the front brake pads and rotors. The quote was given to Mr. [redacted] over the phone and authorized by him. He was also given a list if items that need to be addressed. The car is around 8 years old with 75,000 miles and...

needs some service and repairs. Mr. [redacted] then called back and did not want to perform any of the work. We put the old brakes back on the car and he picked up the car with no charges being paid even though the repair order was signed for $180 diagnostic charge. His claim that the check engine light is related to work is invalid. No work was performed that would related to a check engine light. However, there are many things that needed to be done to the car that may be related. Basically, the car left as it came in with no charges to the customer.[redacted]Service Manager

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have since taken the car in to be diagnosed. The car was not returned in the same condition as delivered. Mini of Escondido damaged the PCV Valve Cover while in their possession. Mini of Escondido was charged to check the car and report any issues. They did not report the broken PCV Valve Cover. This is an incredibly obvious issue, that would have been readily aparant to even the most inexperienced auto mechanic. After leaving the dealership, removal of the oil cap allows you to here a high pitched whistle. This in addition to the cars now terrible idle, would have been nearly impossible not to notice. At best, Mini of Escondido is admitting utter incompetence. At worse, the dealership is responsible for intentionally damaging the vehicle.
Regards,

Review: On Jan 4, 2015, salesperson [redacted] at BMW of Escondido originally signed a statement stating that my $1000 deposit is being held for a future style 2016 model that is not allowed to be ordered yet. [redacted] said if the car can't be ordered this week then he will immediately refund my $1000 deposit back to my Visa credit card. On Jan 5, [redacted] said the new style won't be ready to order until 2017 and he said he will immediately refund my $1000 that same day, so I requested email status of the refund, for which [redacted] said okay. However, the email that I received from BMW of Escondido Management Team, [redacted] and [redacted], (management [email protected]), thanking me for my business, but no mention of my $1000 refund. I replied six times to the BMW of Escondido email asking them to please send me status regarding my $1000 refund, but no response. I notified BMW of Escondido that I had to place a dispute with my credit card company and getting assistance from Revdex.com. BMW of Escondido is extremely nice and professional, but not responding to my refund for unknown reasons? Please help me get my $1000 back. Thank you kindly.Desired Settlement: 1st, please issue my $1000 refund back to my Visa credit card immediately. 2nd, email me status of my $1000 refund to my Visa card being complete. 3rd, call my contact#, leaving me a voicemail stating that the $1000 refund to my credit card has been completed. Thank you kindly.

Review: I took my car in on October 24th, 2014. My car was hiccuping and was due for service. I asked them to please check EVERYTHING! On November 21, 2014 just 3 weeks later my car overheated due to a bad hose! THEY DID NOT CHECK MY HOSES and they refused to reset my service light because they said my car needed more service. It only needed fluids which I topped off at a local mechanic. I also got my oil changed there and they "forgot" to reset my oil service light as well. Not only is the service guy Brandon rude, but they are a RIP OFF! They charge for EVERYTHING and can't even complete the work I requested nor paid for. I want complimentary service and my car running perfectly. It's only 4 years old! As SOON as my warranty ran out last summer, ALL kinds of lights are going on, they won't reset any, and my car is not fixed!Desired Settlement: My car fixed PROPERLY for FREE!

Review: I had a nail in my car tire. Sales at the dealer told me it is not recommended to repair and it has to be replaced. I spent $340 at the dealership for the tire replacement. But later I went to another tire shop and they fixed it right away. I think the dealer gave me wrong information. I would like to return the tire to them.Desired Settlement: Return the new tire (20 mileage on it) dealer sold me.

Review: I purchased a mini from mini of escondido in late march. One of my requirements when shopping for a car was that it have satellite radio. The vehicle I purchased did not, but the salesman and manager both promised to install one at no cost to me. I was also told that the vehicle was bluetooth capable. When I got in the vehicle to leave, the salesman got in to show me how to use the bluetooth. At that point he realized that it was not actually bluetoothe capable. I told him this would be okay and that my main concern was the satellite radio. I then made an appointment to have the satellite radio installed. The day after I dropped the car off to have the radio installed, I was contacted by the salesman stating that they were unable to install the in-dash radio because it was not compatible with my vehicle and that it would be too expensive for the dealership to install it. He told me that instead I would receive a check for $500 to have a portable radio installed on my own. The dealership has withheld the check because the title for my trade-in was lost int the mail. In order to rectify this, I contacted my bank and instructed them to send a lein release to the dealership, so that they could request a new title from the DMV. I have closely followed the progress, and was told that they had received the lein release, and requested the new title. I verified that there was no action required on my part and that they were just waiting on the title to arrive in the mail. Even though I have upheld my obligations and taken all actions needed, they have still not issued the check. I have attempted to resolve the issue with the manager several times. This is unnacceptable because the dealership is in essence witholding the check that was promised when they failed to uphold their initial promise, even after I had overlooked the fact that I had purchased the vehicle under the impression that it was bluetooth capable. I feel that my dissatisfaction is not unwarranted.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the check issued immediately for $500 and a written apology from the owner of the company. I am open to other suggestions if the owner feels there is a better way to handle this, but at a minimum I would like the check that I was promised, regardless of the status of the title request that was submitted to the DMV.
