Buyer Beware!
Buyer beware — as of early May, BMW of Newton is unilaterally reneging on dozens of previously negotiated customer orders unless the customers agree to pay $1500 above invoice. The general manager and sales manager of BMW Newton have washed their hands of the situation and pointed the finger at the president of Open Road as he personally directed this new short-sighted policy, purportedly in response to BMW’s supply issues. What a poor representative of the BMW brand. Avoid Open Road dealerships at all costs and instead patronize dealers who operate ethically and keep their word. Don’t feed corporate greed!

Review: In early September I had over $4,300 worth of work done to my 2007 BMW at this dealer. The bulk of it was new rims and tires. They did a good job and delivered results I expected with those products and services. I also asked for a spare key. The cost was $286.48 and it was defective according to the dealer. They sent it back under warranty and ordered a new one. After 3 trips, most recently on Friday, December 26th, they notified me that there was a problem with the computer in my car accepting new keys. They said that would roughly cost 700 dollars to fix. I asked to return the key that doesn't work and they said they couldn't do that. I became irate. They said they would have the service manager "[redacted]" call me on Monday, Dec 29th. On the 29th I got a voice mail from "[redacted]" telling me BMW would split the cost of the key with me. At no point in three trips to the dealer did anyone tell me that I might have a useless key for any reason, my car's computer or otherwise until this last trip. If they had told me this outcome was possible I NEVER would have ordered the key in the first instance.Desired Settlement: Refund of $286.48

Review: On March 2nd or 3rd we leased a brand new 2015 [redacted] 740il. The dealership is approx 56 miles away from our home in Brooklyn ny. My husband went to pick up the vehicle only to have it have some electrical issues on the way home. The next day we were told to bring back the car and we would get a new one. The lease contract was given to my husband to bring home for me to sign and mail back to them. Our sales rep [redacted] also has stated she needs me to take a selfie while signing the contract. I mailed back the contract along with my customer copy because it did not have the dealer signature on it and I was supposed to get it back. On April 1st after [redacted] was contacted she emailed my cousin (who was the one that introduced us to [redacted]) a copy of half my contract missing the parts of all the signatures. The following day I sent her an email requesting my original customer copy of my lease contract and she said she will mail it out right away. I explained to her the urgency of it because my car insurance gave me a deadline to provide it for coverage purposes. After a few days I have emailed her to follow up if she has sent it and received no response. Today is the evening of April 9 and still no contract and no response to the additional emails that I have sent. As of now over a month since I have purchased my vehicle I have absolutely no proof of anything because the dealership is not sending me what I am legally entitled to.Desired Settlement: I want my original customer copy of the lease agreement.
