Review: I went to dealership for a battery after being told that I need to have the battery programmed to the car. They tested my car inspected my car and found the battery defective. They charge almost $600.00 for the battery. After I picked up my car my radio and navigation no longer worked. I went back and had them check it out. They refused to do anything. I went to a local shop who said they could not do anything they had been the ones I went to before BMW and they knew the radio and navigation were working and called BMW and spoke to the service advisor. He said bring in the car they would check it and if the damage was due to their repair they would fix it. When I went in on 1/27/14 they blamed my alternator and then charged me $136.00 when I asked them for the print out showing the alternator over charging they said they do not have the machine to print. They were suppose to check my car out and they were not going to charge me then they did when I laid for the service they could not provide proof of services. They also had no explanation for how when they tested the car before the battery install the alternator was not an issue and then afterwards it is, I was charged almost $600.00 for battery and then $136.00 for them to tell me why my radio and navigation broke after they worked on my car.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $136.00 and my radio and navigation repaired. I feel a refund for the cost of the install of the battery as well since I have been deprived of my radio and navigation since they broke it.

Review: I recently purchased a BMW at BMW of Sterling, and paid more than $10k with a check. The finance manager was rude, and took personal calls where he was shouting on the phone while I waited for him to finish. I informed him I needed him to finish our transaction, as I could not wait any longer. I was polite and professional with him. One week later, I got a letter in the mail from the dealership containing an IRS form 8300, reporting a cash transaction of greater than $10k. This is required, I understand. However, the finance manager had checked the box stating it was a suspicious transaction to the IRS. I was furious. This is not required by law, and is only to be used in cases where there are suspicious cash transactions--usually LESS than $10k--that they want to report. I immediately called the dealership, and asked to speak with the GM. They told me he was in a meeting, and asked what I wanted. I explained the situation to them. A sales manager called me back and was completely ignorant about how to use the form. I asked if there was anything that they felt that was suspicious about my purchase, and he said, "no" and lied to me stating that it is the law to do this. It is not. When I quoted him the law, he then lied to me saying it was the dealership's policy. It is not. I have two friends who purchased from the same dealership within one month of my purchase, paying more than $10k cash. Neither of them received this form with the "suspicious transaction" box checked. The dealership refused to do anything about it. He was rude, condescending, and abrasive with me on the phone. He told me he didn't care, and that I should take my business somewhere else. I told him I would report the dealership to the Revdex.com, and he laughed at me. He sneered, "So? If that makes you feel better, go ahead." This dealership is unprofessional, has terrible customer service, and has put me at personal risk of an IRS audit due to their incompetence and ignorance as to the proper use of IRS form 8300. Their dishonest and inconsistent, poor business practices put their customers unneccessarily at risk. Their unwillingness to acknowledge their mistake or do anything to correct it is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: I expect them to issue an amended IRS form 8300 to the IRS, copying me. I expect them to check box 1a, indicating it is an amendment to a prior report, with a written explanation that they filed the initial form with box 1b checked mistakenly, and that they do not believe this was a suspicious transaction.

Review: Poor and deceptive service! Purchased a new $110,000 2013 750LI X-Drive three weeks ago and just discovered the driver’s door had been damaged and was repaired / repainted by a body shop contracted by the dealership, yet no person at the dealership had the fortitude to disclose this to me at the time of purchase (but have admitted since). 48-hours after purchasing the car I brought back due to issues (ghosting lines) with the paint on the driver’s door (I did not realize at this time the door had been repainted) and still they did not disclose. I was informed of the issue when I took the car to my own body shop to have the paint situation evaluated. The paint issue has yet to be resolved by the GM, who could not have been less concerned over the issue of their deceptive behavior. The GM also stated the value of the car has not been affected by the repainted door (this of course would not be his opinion if I were trading the car in).Desired Settlement: Option 1. New car

Option 2. Cash settlement equal to the depreciation resulting from the repair
