Review: Contract #[redacted] that is dated November 20, 2013 was for the following services to our home:

• Remove existing siding

• Install Prodigy insulated, Midnight Blue, clapboard siding

• Aluminum trimwork

• Gutters and downspouts

We (the customer) cancelled the contract for the following reasons:

• Failure to complete contractual obligations within estimated time period

• Lack of notification of delays in work completion & job status

• Apparent job abandonment (last date of contact is October 14, 2014)

• Failure to complete the following contractual items:

• Installation of new master bedroom window (over deck)

• Installation of exterior window screens

• Installation of light fixture (near upper left-hand corner of sliding door on deck)

• Installation of Gutter shield system

• Installation of Vinyl Railing on both sides of front portico

• Fix or replace the exterior outlet plate to the left of the front door. The metal hardware is broken.

• Window trim work

• Removal of all job-related debris

• Window headers:

• As per contract, they should not have keystone

• Poor aesthetics of the blue vinyl trim (surrounding all exterior windows) because it comes between the window headers and the aluminum window trim. Further discussion may be needed.Desired Settlement: - Letter from provider indicating acceptance of contract cancellation.

- Documentation from provider regarding the warranty of any and all installed materials, including but not limited to siding, trim materials, soffits,roofing, etc

I am rejecting this response because: Due to the issues referenced in our complaint, my husband and I are not interested in attempting to resolve any pending work that has not been completed by BNL Home Improvements. There was ample time and opportunity for BNL to resolve pending issues, but they were left unresolved. At this time, we will be canceling our contract and no further payments will be made.The only item we require from BNL was indicated in the initial complaint. We require any documentation regarding the warranty of any and all installed materials, including but not limited to siding, trim materials, soffits,roofing, etc.

We are sorry you weren't satisfied with the work performed on your home. We respect your wishes and honor your request to cancel the remaining contract. We will also mail to you any warranty info on the siding installed. This is the only warrantied item on the materials used. There isn't any warranty on trim work, Your reference to a warranty for roofing is in error due to roof work being done on a separate completed contract with the warranty already issued to you directly from the manufacture.
