I have attached a copy of the contract that Mr [redacted] signed The contract clearly states "Projected Start Date" 3-weeks As you know the reason for this "Projected Start Date" is to protect us from stuff like this It has been a very rainy season which is why we were delayed Upon recieving MrMcGill's cancellation letter on November, we immediately called him and let him know that he was on our schedule for Friday (two days later) Mr [redacted] wanted nothing to with what we said and wanted his down payment back We advised him about the projected date, just as he was told when signing the contract All Mr [redacted] kept saying is that we were out of our 3-week period and he wanted his money back We told him that we have a legal and binding contract and if he wants to cancel, to read section liquidated damages and his down payment of $is all that would be required if he wanted to cancel We want to abide by the contract and perform the work we were contracted to doAgain, we tried multiple times to set up the installation and Mr [redacted] refused.I don't see what we have done wrong The key words are "projected start date" I feel Mr [redacted] is being very unreasonable For whatever reason, Mr [redacted] refuses to allow us to do the work

BMW has replaced 2 doors, replaced standard gutters with GutterShutter (love the sound of babbling brooks draining off the roof) and most recently replaced my deck and side porch. I try to get several estimates on such work. It takes a lot of time to call, wait for return calls that don't come, make appts that don't show or show up with material samples in a shoebox, and in one case show up but never send the estimate. Those actions speak to the way those businesses perform their work. BNW shows up, kept me informed every step of the way. The craftsmen were outstanding. I am a sucker for a top-notch job.

Mr***,As stated, you were on our schedule for Friday (two days later) than the projected start date We have no reason to lie to you.You last response referenced Section Schedule This section has to do with once we start the work and any delays that would cause the job to go beyond the projected completion date Your accusation that we did not adhere to this is not true You would not let us start the job, therefore there was no delay in completion of the work For the record Section states the following....."GutterShutter shall begin the work following execution of the Agreement and shall complete the work within the number of days stated in the agreement If events occur beyond the GutterShutter's reasonable control that delay completion, GutterShutter shall give the Buyer notice of the delay and provide Buyer with a revised estimate for completion of the Work when and if possible under the circumstances."For the record our contract states "Projected Completion Date 1-days".Again, section three is in reference to once work is actually started

We used BNW to help with a home remodeling project and were very pleased with their attention to details and service - not to mention the finished product In particular, we love our new Infinity Windows and Doors They really seemed to care...which, unfortunately, seems to be the exception (not the rule) these days

I have attached a copy of the contract that Mr. [redacted] signed.  The contract clearly states "Projected Start Date" 3-5 weeks.  As you know the reason for this "Projected Start Date" is to protect us from stuff like this.  It has been a very rainy season which is why we were delayed....

The excuse for not starting work contracted for ( it has been a very rainy season) does not agree with the weather service records. According to weather service there were 5 days in this 35 day period with more than .10 inch of rain. On three of those days almost all of the rain fell after 5 PM.
BNW Builders received my cancellation letter on Nov 18 and only then contacted me and tried to setup an installation date. I can only wonder when they would have called if they did not receive my letter.
Section 3 of the contract states : if events occur beyond reasonable control that delay competition they will give buyer notice and provide buyer with a revised estimate for completion of work. This was not done according to contract.
For the reasons stated in my original complaint and the above information, request return of my $250 down payment.

Had Roof and Gutters done. Fantastic job. It took them 2 days do everything. The care the took too do the job was outstanding. they made sure to clean up and leave nothing behind. The Owner, The Salesman, & The Workers made sure we was comfortable with what was going on. they answered all questions and DID NOT give us a run around about things. They replaced all wood that was damaged that I didn't even know about. I think other builders would of covered it up and charged me any way. So BNW will get all Projects coming up for my house, which will be soon.
Thank You BNW.

I contracted BNW builders to replace all windows, wrap trim, replace masonite siding with vinyl and replace roof with dimensional shingle roof. BNW set a schedule, arrived when they said they would, and finished the job in the time frame they projected. The job is top-notch, the employees were friendly and accomodating. Rarely does a project of this magnitude get completed without a hitch. I stongly suggest spending the extra money for a quality company!!

Review: Contracted with BNW Builders to install Gutters on my house.

Agreed to have work started in a 3 to 5 week period from date of contract.

Was not even contacted by company in 5 weeks and work was not started.

This was not a rainy period of time that would slow up their crew.

Wrote BNW a letter after 5 weeks and cancelled the contract.

Have requested refund of my down payment of $250 by letter on 2 occasions.

Was refused refund both times.Desired Settlement: Return of downpayment ($250) since job was not started in the 3 to 5 week period agreed to in contract.

Weather conditions were not a factor as claimed by BNW Builders.
