Case # [redacted] The owner of the company himself actually paid additional visits to the customer’s home to address any issues he had, with the customer watching over him at all timesI’m afraid there is no way of knowing who actually damaged the dishwasher, since the customer didn’t even notice until weeks after the service call, the damage could have been there right from point of install, so we cannot take responsibility for this As for cabinets being disposed of, unfortunately it was never documented that the owner wanted to retain some of the cabinets, and we typically dispose of all the cabinets as a courtesy to the customer We have since replaced the disposed of cabinet twice over, so he has been more than compensatedDifference in height of hinges and drawer face were addressed and the consumer was happy with the adjustments made at the timeChip in sink was not a concern to the customer at the time it happened, he was right there, so not sure why it’s being brought up nowThe caulking, again, customer was fine with it at time of installThe entire job was gone over with the customer, and he was fine with everything at the time, and was fine with the amount of discount It wasn’t until he found some damage on his dishwasher that he became disgruntled, and as previously mentioned, there is no way of knowing who actually caused the damageWe will forward the customer his receipts, as well as his warranty

WE HAVE NOT HEARD FROM GRANITE TRANSFORMATIONS AT ALL...ALTHOUGH WE MADE PAYMENTS ON FOUR DIFFERENT OCCASIONS,WE WERE NOT EVER GIVEN A RECEIPT...ANOTHER UNUSUAL WAY OF DOING BUSINESS

The customer's invoice and warranty have been mailed out, and we will be in touch with the customer to set up a time that our installer can go adjust the doors.

until weeks after the service call, the damage could have been there right from point of install, so we cannot take responsibility for this.  As for cabinets being disposed of, unfortunately it was never documented that the owner wanted to retain some of the cabinets, and we typically dispose of all the cabinets as a courtesy to the customer.  We have since replaced the disposed of cabinet twice over, so he has been more than compensated. Difference in height of hinges and drawer face were addressed and the consumer was happy with the adjustments made at the time. Chip in sink was not a concern to the customer at the time it happened, he was right there, so not sure why it’s being brought up now. The caulking, again, customer was fine with it at time of install. The entire job was gone over with the customer, and he was fine with everything at the time, and was fine with the amount of discount.  It wasn’t until he found some damage on his dishwasher that he became disgruntled, and as previously mentioned, there is no way of knowing who actually caused the damage. We will forward the customer his receipts, as well as his warranty.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2015/05/04) */
The warranty on this product comes from the manufacturer. We sent a warranty request in April of 2014 on behalf of the customer, but it was denied. As soon as we received the e-mail from the customer on April 24th of this year, we contacted...

the manufacturer again asking how we were to respond to this. They have asked us to resubmit the warranty request again for them to reconsider. They have also requested pictures, which I unfortunately lost when my fileserver died this Spring. I have sent in the request without pictures, but have also asked the customer if they would send more so that I can pass that along as well. At this point, we are waiting to hear back from the manufacturer on how to proceed.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/06) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have sent them photos of the countertops as requested. The last email from the company stated that they would bring a representative out from the manufacturer and this has not happened.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 20, 2015/07/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
We will wait to hear from Doug to see how they are going to handle the warranty issue.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 24, 2015/09/01) */
I'm pleased to advise that the manufacturer has reversed their decision, and are now granting a replacement. Unfortunately the color originally installed is discontinued, so if the customer could pick another color, we could get started on this right away.
