March 12,
To whom it may concern,
In response to the above referenced complaint, we would like to provide the following response;
Patient brought a pair of *** sneakers to our office on November 8, requesting a lift be added to the right
shoeThis was done and delivered to patient on January 8, 2014- At that time, the patient did mention that something was not right and the shoe was not accepted but rather returned to our shop for modificationsThe modified shoe was then re-delivered to the patient on February 10, Patient paid $and used a $gift certificate for a total payment of $No balance is due
Subsequently, on February 25, 2014, brought in another shoe which had been dispensed in This shoe was worn more than a few times and was well past any warranty periodPatient asked that this shoe also be modified as the heel/lift was wearing away It was at that time that the patient was told that we do not perform this service any longer(We obviously can still perform the service but have made a business decision effective January 1, to not offer the service any longer)
It should further be noted that upon delivery of the second shoe in question (the shoe) according to our notes, the shoe modification was a duplication of previous shoes made for patient and that the patient walked well in the office with the shoes and accepted them with no objections
Thank you for taking the time to review this matter and we trust that we have presented our position clearly and accurately
Sincerely,

Review: Had a 2.5 inch lift applied to right shoe in 2012. I wore the shoe only a few times and noticed that the lift was tilting inward and not supportive. I took the shoe back to Boas and they said since the the shoe was made more that 90 days ago they could not do anything. They referred me to a shoe maker in [redacted], [redacted]. [redacted] said the lift was improperly made. He fixed the shoe at my cost of $96.00. I paid $112 and a $50 gift certificate at Boas. I asked Boas to do was to correctly fix the lift they had made for my shoe and they wouldn't. They said they no longer did this. This was their error in making the lift improperely. They did not inform their customers they no longer fixed shoes with lifts. They owe me a refund for their faulty service. They are trying to ripe off seniors. I have been going to Boas for more than 10 years and have never had a problem. My insurance does not cover this and I am on disability.Desired Settlement: I just want the money I paid to have the lift redone properly.

To whom it may concern,

Patient brought a pair of [redacted] sneakers to our office on November 8, 2013 requesting a lift be added to the right shoe. This was done and delivered to patient on January 8, 2014- At that time, the patient did mention that something was not right and the shoe was not accepted but rather returned to our shop for modifications. The modified shoe was then re-delivered to the patient on February 10, 2014. Patient paid $62.35 and used a $50 gift certificate for a total payment of $112.35. No balance is due.

Subsequently, on February 25, 2014, brought in another shoe which had been dispensed in 2012. This shoe was worn more than a few times and was well past any warranty period. Patient asked that this shoe also be modified as the heel/lift was wearing away It was at that time that the patient was told that we do not perform this service any longer. (We obviously can still perform the service but have made a business decision effective January 1, 2014 to not offer the service any longer)
