Do not spend your money at this terrible business
Do not under any circumstances use this business or rent boats from Guntersville Boat Mart. The lady who handles reservations is completely rude, totally unreasonable and the service at this establishment is horrific. This business nickels and dimes you and you should never sign anything concerning their rentals. They use ridiculous inhouse policies to screw their customers if you have to cancel a rental due to weather or other unavoidable conflicts. I can only imagine what they would do if you rented a boat from them and there was some sort of unavoidable accident or damage to one of their boats. Customer service is lost on this rude establishment and you should absolutely take your money elsewhere.

The only reason they got one star is I couldn't submit this review by giving them a zero, which is what they are.

I bought a 2019 *** boat X-XX-XXXX From The Boat Mart ( John *** ). The Boat Had 20 hrs. on it. The Boat Had Some Damage to the the side rails and parts missing. They told me and put in writing that they will fix my boat. I paid cash for the boat. It's 1 year and 25 days and my boat has not been fixed yet. they keep telling me that the parts have been ordered. I call John and he want answer the phone. He will Text me. He finally text me and told that if I traded for a new boat that I would not have to fix my boat. He text me and gave me a price for the difference in a new boat and my boat. I drove 4 hrs. to the dealer to make a trade and the price difference went up. I told them no deal that I just wanted my boat fixed. They told me that the parts to fix my boat would be in 2 to 3 months. I think the company is liars and unprofessional. People should be aware before purchasing a boat from this company. Thank You ***.

Terrible place of business. I have a new 2018 21 ft boat that I purchased a slip($1,600) and trailer storage($200) for the year. The boat was there about 6-8 weeks total. To start with, I called multiple times for a slip so they knew the size make and model of my boat. After purchasing a slip it was the "wrong one" for my boat on day of arrival. Luckily there was another slip that "would work." This slip broke within a week. We could not get the boat to come down out of the lift. The lifts support had somewhat broken and was swaying/leaning putting a bind on the cables. Had to cancel boating this day after standing around with guests for an hour so they could bring A-frames down another day to lift my boat out of the other lift to get it to another slip for a couple weeks. Finally my slip was "fixed". Looked good at first but after a day out on the water we pulled in and the gears turned but the cables didn't move. We called the office and someone came to assess after several minutes. They hadn't put a pin through the gear into the pole to which the cable wraps. We waiting for several more minutes while the guy went to find a bolt to fix the issue meanwhile we watched him go to the gas pumps and kinda "watch over" people using the pump while taking his time getting us situated so we can get the boat up in the lift. Because let me tell you it's a job holding the boat still in these slips to keep them from banging the metal deck( they have no rubber bumpers along the deck in slips). He finally got the bolt in and ran off quickly without saying a word even after expressing our appreciation. Soon we realized something else was up. The boat lifted but lifted sideways. After several attempts to get it straight we saw that they never screwed the poles guide down so when we were lifting the boat the pole walked(rolled) across the back beam causing the problem. Mind you this lift was "patched" together again as a fix. They placed a 2x6 across one side to help with the leaning and scabbed the back ibeam where it had broke. So again I called the office and was told to walk around and find someone to help. So I found the manager near the dock and let him know what was going on. He told me that he couldn't help because they had 5 other things going on right now and that I can't just come to him at 5 o'clock and get help and that I should just move it to another slip(extra slip made for a wide pontoon boat that had rope pulling the cables closer together to supposedly fit a 21 foot boat). I told him that we'd had nothing but problems there and I asked if I could get my money back. He chuckled a little and said there is no way as I signed a contract. We immediately packed up our storage box along with the boat. It was about a 1.5 hr ordeal that day. My boat will not be back there. To top it off, My NEW boat has several bad scratches where the fire hose straps come up the sides of the boat. These people were rude, didn't want to help, and your boat will get damaged here. So now I'm out $1,800 as they refuse to give a refund. Do not use this place unless you are a glutton for punishment, you hate your boat, you like playing musical boat slips, and you want to give away your money.

I purchased a boat from Boatmart in July of 2018. *** told me at the beginning, if I bought the boat he would recover the seats after the sale was final, he claimed to only recover the captain's seat and to repair the other seats stitching. I made an agreement with him that I would bring it in after the current season. I took the boat up to Boatmart somewhere around the 6th of January. After multiple calls, they finally have the boat ready, however, they did not call and tell me it was ready, I picked the boat up today March 22, 2019. Checking it out to find all the places were not fixed, and the places the did fixed looks horrible, and the materials used does not match the material on the boat. my other complaint with them is I was told that my boat which had less than 30 hrs on it would come with a 3-year warranty as a new boat would. while it was at the repair shop they checked it called and told me it would cost over $2000 to repair something that should be covered by warranty. I am frustrated with Boatmart, I cannot get the salesman John to take my calls or text me. I do not know what else to do, I am reaching out to see if the Revdex.com can be of some assistance

Repair I would like them to pay for my boat to be fixed correctly at the shop of my choice. I am afraid to take it back there.

I purchased a 25 hp 4 stroke mercury motor from ***, salesman,I traded in a 25 hp 2 stroke Johnson with understanding I would be given $600.00 after a compression check on cylinders. have been back to dealership & was told haven't had time to check compression. still haven't heard from them one year later.

Was over charged for so called repairs done to an outboard motor was told 3 times the boat was "Ready" motor never ran as was supposed to.
I bought an older boat from my neighbor. I took to the Guntersville boat mart. I wanted a new water pump and any issues it may have. They charged me 506.78 to repair the water pump and "clean the carbs". I took it out shortly after it ran fine only thing it had and alarm (they should have known this after all they worked on it). Took it back and they charged me another 75.00 to fix the alarm. They call me the second time and told me "it was ready". Took it out again and the motor ran poorly. I didn't say anything because I was in disbelief and didn't know what to do. About a month later I get a call from them telling me I owed the another 233.00 for a tune up I never asked for. I then took it to another mechanic who charged 300.00 to rebuild two carbs and they showed me what was actually wrong with it in the first place. So now I have 1421.78 in a motor that should have actually cost the original 506.78 Because they told me it was READY !!!! It was never ready and they knew it! what did the second mechanic fix that the Guntersville boat mart could do the first time? I have no other reason to believe that I was swindled out of more that $500.00. From what I have heard around town and from other people, they have a bad reputation one I know of that were taken advantage of also a *** they charged her over $500.00 and didn't fix anything!

My wife and I purchased a 2016 Bennington pontoon boat from this dealer. Dealer did not disclose that we could not have factor warranty transferred.
Being first time pontoon boat buyers, my wife and I purchased a 2016 Bennington 22 SSRX X-XXX-XX from this dealer. We planned on having the Bennington warranty transferred into our name. Upon returning home to followup on the warranty transfer with the dealer who has to complete indicated transfer, I contacted the dealer. I was informed that this boat originally was purchased by another dealer who purchased it for 'other than retail sales' which apparently means for rent or other commercial use according to text message received 9-11-18 I explained to the dealer that this information would have affected our decision at the point of purchase had we known this. Basically we have been told there is nothing they can do.
Not disclosing pertinent information that not only affects the issues related to warranty and potential resale of this boat to us is very serious. It is event that the dealer would understand that disclosing such information would hurt their ability to sell the boat therefore since we live almost 2000 miles away is seems that John the salesperson saw an opportunity to get rid of the boat.

Desired Outcome

Compensation for discovered repairs that would have been covered under Bennington's warranty such as concealed interior damages covered with strips of vinyl. Lock that doesn't work and pontoons that leak.

I can't believe there are no other reviews for this company.
I just had a terrible experience getting a new motor for my boat.
Motor installed and then I was told I needed to spend another +$100 dollars for new trim gauge.
Said not included in sale price for motor.
Then it took over 4 weeks to get the boat, finally, after the gauge was installed.
NEVER do business there again.

Placed a $1000 deposit on boat purchased on EBay. Attempted to pay residual, seller apparently sold boat to another party, refuses to return deposit.
Purchased pontoon boat from seller on Ebay May 4, 2018. Placed $1000 deposit on May 5, 2018. On May 10, 11, 14, 15, and 16 attempted to contact seller phone EBay messaging and by phone to complete payment. Seller rarely responded, with vague messages that implied the boat was no longer available. My written messages made it crystal clear that it was my intention to proceed with the purchase. Seller implied we had a phone conversation during which he implies I stated I could not pay for 45 days due to a pending purchase on a home That I needed to complete, suggesting that seller misidentified me as another person (no such conversation occurred, nor have I recently purchased a home).
Ultimately, when I asked seller to return my Paypal deposit, he has refused, implying that I have defaulted on a purchase.
Throughout, seller has been evasive regarding communication, not answering phone calls, voice mail box full so no ability to leave messages, and conflicting written correspondence (initial written response stating "your boat is available" with subsequent suggesting it was sold to another party.

Desired Outcome

Return of $1000 deposit.
