When I first starting talking to the owner of this business, he was very friendly and said he would fix all the problems with my boat such as a new floor and new seats, and we talked about a color schemeSo we worked on the price, and after he had my boat all Summer, he finally delivered my boat to me I paid him in full and he drove off, and I started to boat my way back to my dockThis is when I realized that my boat had not been painted even though it was part of the price The next thing I noticed, my boat would lose all power, and then get it back again, which was never a problem beforeThe next day my family and I was ready to take our first boat ride in the remodeled boat, but it had no power to the motorThe electric cord that goes up to the motor was totally stripped up, and I had to wiggle and tape the wire to get power to the motor to get it to goIt was not like that when he picked our boat up! When I called the owner to tell him what was going on, he was extremely rude on the phone, and said that the motor was old and basically not his problem, and actually hung up on me! I strongly recommend that you DO NOT GO WITH BOATMAN BOATS! You'll be more than sorry!

Horrible Customer Service and follow up after the sale. Sold faulty boat and would not back it up. Very Rude

Our first interactions with [redacted], the owner, were positive when we took ownership of a rebuilt pontoon boat in February of 2013. Within 2 months the batteries died and needed to be replaced. The seat covers were expensive, we considered the quality terrible, material faded and cracked within 5 months. The floor vinyl separated within 6 months, it was not glued or stapled down properly.

At first he said he would repair the floor, never showed up, then told me he would only come if I paid a service fee.

Bottom-line...he makes it look good, but the quality after a very short time is not there, it just looks good when you first take possession.

I am MVP, and after writing a very negative review last night and thinking I had heard the last from Boatman Boats, the owner Dallas called me today and said he would be sending a man to take care of all my problems with my boat. I had my doubts, but I told him fine, and that same afternoon his brother Dan was at my front door. Dan was very polite and explained some things to me that I didn't realize, so I was looking at Boatman Boats with a brand new attitude once I talked to Dan. Dan knows what he's doing and got right on the problem. Within twenty minutes my boat was running fine, and everything I had complained about was fixed. I wasn't charged anything for any of the parts or the time spent on my boat by Dan, and I totally changed my mind about Boatman Boats. I am a very forgiving person, and Dallas and Dan did what they needed to do to gain back my trust. I think after talking again to Dallas and Dan that most of our frustrations with each other was basically over a big misunderstanding. The boat looks great and runs great, so I have absolutely no complaints, and can't wait to get back on the water.
