Pasco Roofing refused to honor the warranty on my roof repair which was done on January 10,2018.
I contracted Pasco Roofing to repair leaks on my roof at the seam where the main roof abuts the patio roof on January 10, 2018. The repair has a warranty for a period of one year. The roof started to leak after heavy rains during Hurricane Michael. I called Pasco Roofing on September 21, 2018. They sent Sean(Shawn) and one other guy to check the leak. They flooded the roof and found leaks coming out from the original spot that I have complain about. Sean(Shawn), however, said that the leak was coming from a nail several feet up in the main roof and flows down and leaks at the seam. He said it is not covered by the warranty and was even kind enough to offer me a discount to fix the problem. I did not buy that explanation, so I called Robert who wrote up the contract.Robert and Sean(Shawn) came a few days later. Sean(Shawn) went up in the attic to look for leaks in the main roof. He did not find any including the nail he was alluding to. Nothing was done to correct the problem, because Robert want to see the leak when it happen, although Sean and one other guy saw the leak the day before. That same night after it rained we took pictures of the roof. Called Robert the following morning and left a message telling him about the pictures. When we did not get any call from Robert or his office, I called him again, and as I suspected he didn't want to do anything with the roof. Now, I'm back to where I started and down $1,327.00 off my Social Security check.

Desired Outcome

I know nothing about roofs. I believe Pasco Roofing can solve this problem if they wanted to.

Pasco Roofing went out to Mr ***' house on 9/27/18. The leak was not coming from the area we repaired. We repaired the tie in to the flat deck. This leak was coming from the shingle roof not the area we repaired. Our tech water tested our repair area for 2 hours and both he and the home owner saw no leaking. Mr. called back on the 28th and said it leaked again. We again informed him that it was from the shingle roof and not the flat roof that we repaired. We offered him a quote to fix the new leak area. He became very argumentative and said we should do it for free and then proceeded to curse out the estimator. The estimator calmly told him to please call back when he could speak respectfully. He never called back. Please note that this is a double layer roof that is in poor condition and Mr. will continue to have issues with his roof until he addresses that.

Customer Response • Feb 01, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I do not accept the response of the business. However, I do not intend to pursue my complaints against Pasco Roofing (Coastal Building Services). I can no longer stand the lies these people resorts to so as to justify their case. How can this be a new leak when it is at the same spot I pointed out to Robert(estimator) when he first came in to do the estimate. Also the alleged new leak is directly beneath the area they repaired. They also claimed that the new leak was coming from the shingled gable roof of the main house. If this is true it would have leak inside the house. So far, I have not seen a drop of water inside the house. Also, the roofer (Sean) was ask by Robert to check for leaks in the attic of the main roof. He found the attic bone-dry down to the edge of the roof and no leak was found. It is not true that the roofer did not see any leak when the roof was flood tested. There was another person with the roofer who would attest the leak in the original spot.It is not also true that I asked them to fix the allege new leaks for free because I know I don't have a leak on the main roof. What I asked them is to fix the leak that they originally did. After I found out they won't honor their warranty,I got really frustrated and I might have said some nasty words to the estimator. For this I am really sorry. This is not my normal behavior.I believe this is a lost cause, so I am giving up.If I may, I would request to leave my complaint against Pasco Roofing(Coastal) on file so that other people can see there are other companies more refutable than Paco Roofing. For me I'll just charge it to learning lesson, that not all A+ companies are refutable. No offense to Revdex.com because you have done a very good job for me.
