Review: We hired Bob Clark to prepare and file our 2012 taxes for us. We received a call to come to their office to sign the completed tax forms. We paid the $420 fee on April 4, 2013 and took the papers home to review before signing. We immediately noticed multiple errors and omissions including the omission of our California State Refund from 2011 as income. When we contacted the company we were told that the taxes were not yet complete and we were just supposed to have reviewed them. However, there was a form on top with Bob's signature indicating that as soon we signed these forms they would be e-filed for us. We were concerned with the incompetence so we asked for a full refund based on the many errors contained in the returns. We received a partial refund of only $295 on May 12, 2013. We sent a letter on May 21, 2013 asking them to make a full refund since none of what they did for us was beneficial. They have not refunded the rest of our money.

Since none of what they provided for us was usable, we feel we are entitled to a full refund and that this company owes us the remaining $125 we paid them for their services. If they cannot file a correct return, we don't feel we should have to pay anything for their incompetence. We brought our information to them in good faith to prepare our taxes for us. It is not our fault that our taxes were not completed as promised.
