Extremely Dissatisfied On December 8, I dropped off my Nissan Armada after speaking to them a day or two earlier I left the car overnight Although the vehicle was new to me, it had 133,miles on itThey told me that they charged for a general check of the vehicle and I agreed I reported a minor problem in that the brakes were 'soft' and and a major problem in that the 'reved' to several thousand RPMs before the vehicle would move and similar issues with the transmission while driving I left the vehicle overnight and the next day they told me orally that there were no leaks in the brake lines and in writing that I needed a needed a new transmission and clockspring assembly and estimated the cost of the repairs between $2,and $3,plus tax They charged me for this examination and I paid the full amount of their bill, $ Because we couldn't afford the amount of the estimate, I obtained a second opinion and was advised that the transmission problem was caused by the fact that due to a leak in the hose between the transmission and the transmission fluid cooler, the transmission fluid had leaked out The problem was solved by replacing the hose and refilling the transmission for substantially less money In trying to 'sell' me a transmission job their technician orally emphasized the substantial work they did to diagnose the problem Since the transmission has a dipstick, the only rational explanation is that they are either hopelessly incompetent or dishonest
