Review: After the high winds had passed, I noticed a banging sound coming from my chimney. I called B D Home Improvement to check on the sound. I had climbed the hill and saw that my vent pipe was flapping in the wind and showed the man when he came. He also ppointed out a few shingles and said that the roof vent was loose also. They cane the next day and fixed it (supposedly). They charged me $185 but the next time it was windy the sound was still there so I called again and left a message. I asked if maybe the chimney was not their purview and to return my call. I waited and no one called. So I assumed that they did not do chimneys. I called a chimney repair guy. They came and found that the noise was coming from the flashing around the chimney...clearly visible from the roof. I paid $137. They suggested that I call Bob Davis to tell them what they had found and maybe get some of my money back. I did so and left messages. Finally someone called and came out to check. He looked at the written statement from the 2nd guys and said that they must have missed it. So I asked for half of my money back. He was to report back with the answer to my request. I have heard nothing more.Desired Settlement: I only asked for half of my $185 since they did replace some shingles and secure a ridge vent.

I am rejecting this response because: There was supposed to be work done to fix the noise in my chimney. I pointed out that there was something on or near the chimney that was flapping in the wind. According to my second repair people, it could not have been missed if they had looked. I said to them just what I had to the Davis people and they found it. They had suggested that the repair was not finished by Mr Davis's people. I realize that I am a single widow, but people should not take money for a job they did not complete. The roof shingle were not a part of what I asked them to fix and had nothing to do with the noise in my chimney.
