In late July or early August of not 2015, *** *** brought in clocks and they were entered into our log for repairThe first was a *** Ships clock and the second a French slate shelf clockSeveral attempts were made to contact *** *** regarding her repair estimatesIn December
we discussed the *** clock specifically, the estimate provided included the cost $for the overhaul o the movementAs I recall she also wanted the cost for cleaning the case and the dial which was then provided at an additional cost of $At that time I do not recall discussing the French clockAn extensive amount of time passed and her repair sequence numbers came up to do and recalling we did speak, we proceeded with the repairsI called *** *** several times to let her know her clocks were ready and finally spoke to her in September She stated at that time that she never authorized the repairs.*** *** came to the shop a short time after that at stated she wanted to resolve the issueI told her the charges were a total of $for both clocksShe said she would give me the French clock for her *** clockI stated I could not do that, I did not want her clock I had to pay the clockmaker who had repaired the clocksI told her as I did not recall any conversation about the French clock and she did not want the clock I would drop the cost just to the $owed for the ***Again she stated she would only "trade me " the French clock for the ***. I will accept payment of $for the repairs of the ***. I have been repairing clocks for years and this is the first complaint we have ever received about our services

I am rejecting this response because: Respectfully MrP***, MrDesrochers never had permission to fix either clockHe gave me a quote of $350, and $for extra cosmetic work on the *** clockI never got back to him with my answer on the *** clock-----frankly I dragged my feet because I wasn't sure I wanted to spend that much money to fix the clock In Septhe called to say both clocks were repaired, I had never heard from him in regard to the second clock, the French clock MrDesrochers does not have my permission to throw that clock out If he wants to restore it to its unfixed state, that is fine with me I will pay the and tax for return of both clocks The *** to be in perfect working order MrDesrochers has no signed contract with me He sent me no written estimates-----what a crazy way to do business I am not an unreasonable person I would like to resolve this in a timely manner *** ***
