Review: On Saturday October 5, 2013 at the gem and mineral show in [redacted] Tree, CA I gave Mr. [redacted] a 2.43 CT pear shape faceted sun stone that I wanted mounted into a sterling silver mount. He stated he was able to do this and that he would mount it and mail it back to me within a few weeks. When I realized I had not heard from him in a while and I was unable to find his card, I contacted a member of the California federation of gem and mineral societies and got his phone number. I called him in mid-November and he stated that he had mailed it but that it was returned to him. We verified that he did in fact have the correct address and he was going to mail it again. I waited a few weeks and when I did not receive it, I called again. He was going to mail it the next day. A few weeks pass, I call again and he stated that he will mail it registered. Still no sun stone. By Christmas, I had found his business card that he had given me on October 5th and it had his email address. I emailed him January 5th and 27th and got no reply. I called him again on January 15th and February 1st. For those calls, he did not pick up and I left voice messages. All I want is my sun stone back or to be reimbursed the $48 that the stone cost me. I trusted him with my sun stone and now he has disappeared with it.Desired Settlement: I either want my sun stone back or I want the $48 that I paid for the stone. The price tag for the sun stone was still on the back of the gem stone box when I gave it to him.
