Review: There was a leak at the base of a toilet. The leak was repaired, but the toilet wa not secured to the floor. The serviceman returned for the 2nd time, but failed to correct. The same person returned for the 3rd time and repaired another leak he caused as a result of the 2nd visit, which did not not fix the rocking toilet. On 7/1 or 7/2 another call was placed to this business to explain that the job was still not completed and during the call a request was made not to send the same serviceman. The same service man returned for the 4th time, did no work and said the owner would call. The owner did not call.

On 7/8 [redacted] spoke to [redacted] from Mr. Nelson's answering service. She said someone would call. Later that day, with nobody responding [redacted] spoke with [redacted] in Mr. Nelson's office. She indicated the plumber's notes reflected that the toilet was leaking on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd visit - not true. the notes reflected that the plumber said that a jack hammer be used to correct the problem of the bathroom floor not being level -ridiculous.

Still no one has called. We still have a rocking toilet caused by the plumber. The bill was charged to [redacted] on 4/29/13 and paid

I did respond on 8/27/13 as an Attachment as follows:

This is in response to Mr. Nelson's letter, which we found to be contrary to the facts.

For almost 8 years the toilet did not rock. Obviously, there was nothing wrong with either the flange nor the level of the floor. Also, the 2nd leak was from a connection at the wall, which occurred immediately after the 1st service call. Logic seems to indicate that this leak was caused by the plumber.

We did request that a different plumber be sent in order to get another opinion. this request was obviously ignored.

Finally, since we were told by someone in the plumber's office that Mr. Nelson would call us, which he failed to do, it is an indication that his company just does not care about doing the right thing.

Since Mr. Nelson has indicated no desire for remediation, [redacted] and myself are prepared to call another plumber, absorb the loss and inconvenience of doing business with his company.

We do request that the Revdex.com make available to those of interest, this very poor experience and lack of an appropriate response from the Bob Nelson's Plumbing & Heating Business.

I am rejecting this response because: The fact is that we engaged another plumber to resolve the problem created by Mr. Nelson's company. The toilet problem is now resolved. What the new plumber found was that all the shims were removed by Mr. Nelson's employee., which created the problem. We had been told by the previous plumber that he had removed the larger shims in place for 8 years and replaced "smaller shims" to solve the problem, but there were no shims at all! Mr. Nelson has an employee that has been giving misinformation to Mr Nelson, as well as us, from the beginning. Mr. Nelson's refusal to speak with us directly would most likely have resolved this poor experience with the vendor. Shame on him.
