Drove an hour in a snowstorm to Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Kia to view this [redacted] ***model, less than 90K miles, great mileage, no history of accidents, less thatn $3KWhat a honey of a deal, right? When we got there, the guy we originally spoke to over the phone - Jay - was too busy to come talk to usWe told another sales guy - Adam - what car we were there to see, so he told us to take a seat in his cubicle and he'd go get the keys so we could take it for a spinHe comes back ten minutes later and this is when the red flags started popping up like crazyFirst he tells us that they can't find the keys anywhere (even though Jay told me over the phone THAT MORNING that he was ready to show us the car)Then he tells us that the car had been hit in the front and the back and there's no way they'd sell it (even though the [redacted] report I pulled up said "no accidents")THEN he tells us that their camera guy is really good at finding angles to take pictures that conceal dents and scratches (which is shocking enough, never mind the fact that I looked at those pictures VERY closely and couldn't find even a scratch)THEN he admits, "That was very dishonest of Jay to tell you it was availableI don't know why Jay would do thatI don't know why he'd tell you over the phone it's available because it's a car we'd never sell to youI'd never do that, personally." So then their sales manager, Jesus [redacted] ***, comes over and says, "We're so sorry you drove all the way from McHenry to see the AveoWe just don't feel comfortable selling it to you." I ask "Well, can we see it anyway?" "We don't know where the key is, so we can't pull it around." "Can I go to where it is?" "No, we don't allow customers back thereBut since you came all the way out here, I want to make it worth your whileI'm prepared to make you two really great deals." The first deal was a [redacted] and the other was a [redacted] The [redacted] was super clean, real sleek, really nice looking car, with only about 100K milesThe [redacted] looked much older than it was, totally rusted out, but had low milesJesus offered me more than 50% off the list price both carsBoth cars were listed for around eight grand, and he came all the way down to three grandWe asked to test drive the SaturnGuess whatIt didn't start"Something's wrong with the batteryWe don't know what's going onBut if you buy it, we'll fix it." So we test drive the [redacted] , which was okay, butMehNothing specialAt this point we've been at the dealership for two hours, and our baby is going stir crazyWe're trying to leave but the sales manager keeps dropping the prices, trying to talk us into making a purchase right then and thereWe don't want the [redacted] Jesus says, "I have a [redacted] with a turbo engineWe'll sell it for $all-in." We agree to test drive itCheck engine light is on, power steeling grinds and squeals, car shakes, engine sounds like a space ship launching into orbitWe come back and say "No wayThat car is going to cost more to fix than it'll cost to drive off the lotNot worth it." Then Roman starts arguing with me about why I'm making a terrible decision for my familyAnd all of this because of a car on their website that they probably don't even have on their lotThis is a classic bait and switchWhich is actually illegal

Drove an hour in a snowstorm to Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Kia to view this 2008 [redacted]. 2008 model, less than 90K miles, great mileage, no history of accidents, less thatn $3K... What a honey of a deal, right? When we got there, the guy we originally spoke to over the phone - Jay - was too busy to come talk to us. We told another sales guy - Adam - what car we were there to see, so he told us to take a seat in his cubicle and he'd go get the keys so we could take it for a spin. He comes back ten minutes later and this is when the red flags started popping up like crazy.
First he tells us that they can't find the keys anywhere (even though Jay told me over the phone THAT MORNING that he was ready to show us the car). Then he tells us that the car had been hit in the front and the back and there's no way they'd sell it (even though the [redacted] report I pulled up said "no accidents"). THEN he tells us that their camera guy is really good at finding angles to take pictures that conceal dents and scratches (which is shocking enough, never mind the fact that I looked at those pictures VERY closely and couldn't find even a scratch). THEN he admits, "That was very dishonest of Jay to tell you it was available. I don't know why Jay would do that. I don't know why he'd tell you over the phone it's available because it's a car we'd never sell to you. I'd never do that, personally."
So then their sales manager, Jesus [redacted], comes over and says, "We're so sorry you drove all the way from McHenry to see the Aveo. We just don't feel comfortable selling it to you." I ask "Well, can we see it anyway?" "We don't know where the key is, so we can't pull it around." "Can I go to where it is?" "No, we don't allow customers back there. But since you came all the way out here, I want to make it worth your while. I'm prepared to make you two really great deals."
The first deal was a 2009 [redacted] and the other was a 2003 [redacted]. The [redacted] was super clean, real sleek, really nice looking car, with only about 100K miles. The [redacted] looked much older than it was, totally rusted out, but had low miles. Jesus offered me more than 50% off the list price both cars. Both cars were listed for around eight grand, and he came all the way down to three grand. We asked to test drive the Saturn. Guess what. It didn't start. "Something's wrong with the battery. We don't know what's going on. But if you buy it, we'll fix it." So we test drive the [redacted], which was okay, but... Meh. Nothing special.
At this point we've been at the dealership for two hours, and our baby is going stir crazy. We're trying to leave but the sales manager keeps dropping the prices, trying to talk us into making a purchase right then and there. We don't want the [redacted]. Jesus says, "I have a 2009 [redacted] with a turbo engine. We'll sell it for $2000 all-in." We agree to test drive it. Check engine light is on, power steeling grinds and squeals, car shakes, engine sounds like a space ship launching into orbit...
We come back and say "No way. That car is going to cost more to fix than it'll cost to drive off the lot. Not worth it." Then Roman starts arguing with me about why I'm making a terrible decision for my family.
And all of this because of a car on their website that they probably don't even have on their lot. This is a classic bait and switch. Which is actually illegal.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2014/09/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They said I was fully approved on August 25, 2014. I signed a lease agreement, a binding contract. No one ever mentioned that it still was not approved or that they were still waiting for approval. Telling me I was approved, signing a lease, I purchased plates for the car and put a down payment tells me I'm approved. You can't go back three days later and renig on the deal and tell me your running a good business. You wasted my time, my energy and luckily I still had my old car to drive. Your bad business and your Revdex.com F rating says so.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 12, 2014/09/11) */
all documents do read that approval is pending we tryed to do a traditional loan customer did not want
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 14, 2014/09/12) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Then why wasn't I told ever that the deal was pending? I was told I was approved therefore mislead. And why did the finance manager come back with a new deal that I would've been paying $3-4,000 more for just a base model KIA soul. Because bob Rohrman does spot delivery sales aka yoyo sales. This is why I am complaining. If they were not trying to scam me I would have no reason to complain.
